If you are going to have leftover TS credits, is there anything else you can use them on? Will they let you get a CS meal instead? Thanks!

I've read on here that others have been able to get a CS meal with a TS credit. The CM was confused at first, but took it. Whether or not it always works, who knows.

The only time they generally allow the Substitution is during Free dining period. There are a few people that have been able to otherwise but it is not the norm.

WOW!!!! I am shocked that they wont let you sub a TS for CS afterall you are paying more for a TS.

You and me both! I thought for sure there must be some kind of substitution they would make. A CS meal is always going to be cheaper than TS.

Most reports we have is that you can do so during the free dining period, when Disney announces that it will be permitted. You could also go to your resort front desk and ask them to convert TS credits to a CS. They may or may not say they can do it. If they'll do it, you get just the CS meal, no extras like snacks.

If you're not on free dining, and intend to use TS credits for CS meals, it may be worthwhile to look into getting the quick service dining plan and just paying for the TS meals you want.

On delux you can have ts or cs-- how do they know what plan you are on?

Your key card indicates the plan you are on.

If you are on the Deluxe Dining Plan you can use your credits for either a TS or a CS meal. I won't use a credit for a CS meal but you have the option.

they know because it's all in the big Disney computer in the sky...

and the problem at counter service is that when the CM tries to ring up a counter service meal, the system knows if you have regular or deluxe plan, and will tell her there are no counter service credits if you've used them all up. My understanding of the system is that it cannot automatically convert table to counter service at the cash register, and the CM's at the counter service cannot over-ride the system to get it to take table service credits as payment for counter service meals.

What has been reported is that in advance, take your room cards to the concierge desk at your hotel & ask if they will convert your remaining table service to counter service. People have reported that this was done...but keep in mind it's a straight-across trade, meaning you'll get one counter service for one table service. No extras.
