Maybe I'm crazy, but I thought there was a ride at Epcot where you got in a submarine? Am I losing my mind? I can't find it on the WDW Epcot Attraction page
There was the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea at the Magic Kingdom. It was removed in the early 90's. We rode it on our first trip to WDW. I may offend folks but I thought it was nasty. The subs smelled & leaked and all you saw plastic fish & plants.
The Living Seas used to have an "elevator" that made you feel like you were going down to a sea lab under water. Bubbles would rise in the glass panel walls to make it more realistic.... Went away with change to NEMO theme.
No... but there used to be elevators that appeared to take you "beneath the sea" then you would board vehicles that would take you through to see the various fish tanks.
There is the elivator that taken you 'down' in the living seas, I guess you were thinking of that. There is a sub ride, the nemo one at Disneyland, in that you go into a yellow sub and travel through the lagoon. Maybe that is what is what you have seen/thought of??? Fun ride, I really liked it!

YESSSS thats what I was thinking of! For some reason I thought it was in WDW? So when I was checking out the attraction site I was like huh? Where is it? Too bad
Just looked at the Disneyland website and there it was. I just remember seeing it on a WDW show on the travel channel I was half watching, they must have been referrencing DL and I wasn't paying enough attention
Just to clarify, you didn't move anywhere in those "elevators". They made the floor rumble and the scenery outside of the windows move making the illusion that you were moving.....unless we are talking about different "elevators".
I still miss the Hydrolators. I always thought they were so cool. I knew they only moved about an inch, but it was so much fun watching people ride it for the first time and thinking we were really going under water. You can still see the tunnel in the aquarium where the old ride used to be. Remember the little cars you used to ride?

I also think there could be confusion about the original ride in "the Seas". Before Nemo you would ride the vehicles through that tube within the tank. Yea, I know it still does but Nemo is kind of distracting to the overall effect that the ride used to have.
