Hi,

Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of a video from STVS please, or anyone else? I'm sure they have different packages but this is just to get a rough idea to see if we could build it into the total cost.

Thanks.

It's my understanding that STVS' packages are around $2,000 for Wishes weddings. Many videographers and photographers are willing to customize a package to fit your budget, or at least knock off some money for taking out elements you don't want.

Here are the current prices for our videographer, StarFruit Productions...

Limited Time Special: Just the Highlights - $1000

We'll film your wedding day and make a short 4-8 minute movie. This is perfect for sharing online! You will also receive the raw footage from the main camera during the ceremony. If you later decide you'd like a full-length edited version, StarFruit will gladly produce it. Ask us for the details!

Basic Package - $1500

One video artist during preparation, ceremony, and photo shoot
Up to four hours of coverage
One DVD in rosewood presentation box
Two DVDs in jewel cases

Silver Package - $2200

Two DVDs in jewel cases

Gold Package - $3300

Love story segment
Two video artists during preparation, ceremony, photo shoot, and reception
Up to eight hours of coverage
Highlight reel (four to eight minutes)
One DVD in rosewood presentation box
Two DVDs in jewel cases

:scared1:

Brilliant, thank you. I couldn't remember the name of the people you used!

Thanks :goodvibes

we are paying 1350 for 4 hour stylised edit from stan, email him for prices he is pretty quick

Hi Alex,

I just emailed Stan yesterday for his prices while I was at work and they were with me when I got home last night, so I can forward you those if you like?

Although I won't get chance tonight so it's probably quicker if you fill in his email form yourself! He doees respond very quickly and there's the advantage of finding out if he's available for your date this way. Just let me know if you want me to send copies though....

Thanks Carrie, for posting Starfruit's packages, which option did you go for, if you don't mind me asking?

We've (well I've really!) decided to investigate videography a bit more now, originally we weren't sure we needed it, but seeing as there will be a limited number of us over there, it might be nice for other family and friends to see, and obviously a great keepsake.

we were orginally just going to go with the cheapest and we found apex media to be fairly cheap but I loved all of stans demos on his site and as DF sister will not be flying with us as they are pregnant we wanted a nice video so decided to splash out a bit on stan (video was never really in our budget)

We also did not want a video - until we found StarFruit!

Unfortunately, the package we used no longer exists... it was sort of a combo of the Basic and the Silver packages. We asked for:

5 hours video coverage
30 editing hours
Rehearsal
Wireless Lapel mic for ceremony and selected speeches
Personal messages
Two Video Artists, two cameras at ceremony
One Video Artist, one camera reception
Full editing, titles
DVD Menu, Case, 3 DVD copies
Raw Footage on Mini DV
Edited Movie on Mini DV

It was important to us to have 2 videographers so we could get a variety of shots. We also paid a travel fee so that they could come to our rehearsal and get the lay of the land, set up shots, etc.

What I would suggest is talking to Star Fruit (or any other videographer) about exactly what you want and asking how they'd price it. Then you can add or subtract elements to fit your budget. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the info.

I think it will be outside of our budget. We are spending 3 weeks on Disney instead of 2 and with them adding another $500 to the cost of the Escape it will push us out.

Never mind, we are scary enough on photo let alone film :scared1:

What about Apex Media or A Moment To Remember? I seem to recall they have basic packages for less than $1,000.

Then again, I know what you mean about photo vs. video. I was terrified that they'd have footage of me scratching my nose or guffawing like a horse or something....:rotfl:

It's 'himself' scratching his unmentionables I'd be worried about! Great to show the folks back home that would be!

We've decided not have the floral, to extend Randy's package (so to speak), and go for a stretch Hummer so the budget is being stretched a little more. I've also managed to work out that we can get a week at Disney for approx $250 more than staying off property so we're stretching a little more again!

i used a moment to remember becouse i neede something on the lower end of price and i wanted alot of hours. i was not picky with the video but i do love how it turned out. they edited very well and i love how efficient and personable they were to work with. they were my favorite vendor to work alongside.
it does not have alot of special effecs but i went with the bronze package. if ou go with silver which is 1200 you get alot more.
they are worth giving a call.
i have a little sneak peak in my pj but it is nothing like the quality i have because i had to tape the computer with my camera and then save as a file hehehe (what i do to show you girls some stuff) :)
well good luck

I just booked Stan today!!! I wasn't going to have our VR videod but after looking at some of the wonderful videos on his site I went ahead and booked him. He was great to talk to on the phone and he seemed really excited about taping our VR! One more task done that I didn't even know I had!

Awesome!!!! Isn't Stan just great on the phone?? I had such a pleasant conversation when we called to book him. He had me so excited there was no way I could say no lol. AND he didn't laugh at us when we immediately asked him to make our Club 33 reservations for the vaca we were taking at the time! He is awesome. Unfortunately he has a rep on here for being expensive, but his prices are actually amazing! Especially for what you get! I think he is one of the best values around. Sometimes brides don't take the time to call/email him and assume he is really expensive. He's a great guy, great service, and great price lol.

Congrats on booking him! I have a feeling neither one of us will regret it!:goodvibes

When I googled wedding videographers in orlando I found one, orlandoweddingfilms.com.

Their economy package is $250, and the next one is under $500. I have no idea if they are any good, but they are a cheap option. With prices that low I don't know what you would get!

Has anyone heard anything about them?

Hmmm, interesting. I've just requested some info from them.

The sample videos they have don't look too bad at all but the really low prices make you suspicious don't they? I'll post with what they come back with.

We're in the process of booking Stan from STVS to do our wedding video footage, and Simon just asked me is the DVD is a multi region one, or if it can be done on a region 2 disc so we can actually use it at home - and I didn't have a clue, but I thought I know who will :thumbsup2

I tried to ask Summer coz I know she used Stan and is from the UK, but her message box is full anbd she hasn't been around for some time :sad1:

most dvd players are region free now days. also its really easy to make it region free, our old dvd player was just uk region and we found a code online that unlocked it so dont worry about it. you could alwyas just email stan and ask him

Sorry I'm late replying, but I wanted to let you know that I'm using ApexMedia.

I graduated w/ a degree in Telecommunications (broadcasting) and used to work for a video production company, so I am VERY picky about my videographer, plus I am familiar w/ pricing. I also know who is making you pay way too much for what they are offering.

I got the "Diamond" package, which is the most expensive package for 8 hrs. (I am thinking of going for 10 hrs. not sure yet) and it is only costing us $1,600. :woohoo: :dance3:

They have different packages, and if you want to stay under 1000 and not skimp on a quality videographer, I would go w/ George. http://www.apexmediaweddings.com/

I just booked Stan today. I the Custom Classic Wedding Package which is $1,785.00. That package includes 5 hours of coverage, music mixed in on the video, two camera angles covering the ceremony, slow motion retrospective, Sneak Peek of ceremony highlights, three DVD copies.

Then I added an extra hour of coverage for the dessert party...$175.00
Break fee which is the time between the reception and dessert party..$50.00.
And I added a special opening which is the Fairy Tale Book...I guess it looks like a book opening and closing....$85.00.

So with 7% tax the total came to $2,095.00.

This package amount was for a custom wedding. I think he has special prices for intimate weddings.

He was so nice, so helpful, and fun to talk to!!

For some reason I cannot seem to view any of the videos on Stan's site...it's asking me for some sort of password or something..does anyone else have this problem?

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Lori
