Stupid stunt

Morons.

It's up there with the idiots last year jumping out the boat and stealing the dogs keys on POTC!

Obviously not a Dis Unplugged Podcast listener, or s/he would have known to stay out of the damn lakes.

Probably the same idiots we saw walking and jumping on top of the rails in the bus area at Animal Kingdom a few days ago. We were sincerely hoping one would fall off and break his leg. These were not teens, they were early twenty-something males that should have known better.

It's almost as if the food and wine festival has started early, and the crazies have come out to play. What a loser.

You know... just as I think people couldn't get any more stupid, someone comes along and shows me wrong.

If they are stupid enough to do that, they will be stupid enough to post on Facebook or Youtube. The lack of brain cells is already obvious.

Not excusing the behavior, but if they saw the guy exit the water safely, why call out S.W.A.T? I understand alerting security to be on the look out for some bad guys with this description, but helicopters? Isn't that overkill x100?

What does Pete always say "Stay out of the damn lakes!". ;)

Doug :goofy:

And there are even more of us who wouldn't.

Maybe, maybe not. I still fly, still drive, still swim in the ocean, and still get up in the morning knowing the odds. Almost everything has an inherent risk, and almost all of them are infinitesimally small. Swimming in the "damn lakes" in Florida is no different.

That is overblown nonsense. Millions of Floridians swim in fresh water lakes here all the time.

Contracting Naegleria is a small risk, but it is a risk nonetheless (and if you get it, you're dead in a week). And it was just found AGAIN in Louisiana tap water, so no one in that state use any neti pots without boiling and cooling the water first, please!

However, the idiot who pulled this stunt is at less risk than most, because the amoeba likes the warmer waters of the shallows. He jumped right into the middle of the lake where it's cooler.

Maybe they were trying to make sure the guy didn't drown? The way people are sue-happy these days and don't take responsibility for their actions, I'm sure Disney was interested in making sure he stayed alive.

Looks like Disny may need to install lap bars on the friendship boats like they did on Splash Mountain.;)

Hopefully one of those snapping turtles got a hold of his lower bits!::yes::

Uh, it actually is, though. Driving, flying, those are things that you do because they are methods of transportation. Risking your life by swimming in open water in the South in summer? No reason to do that.
