I know for sit downs you get an app, meal & dessert...does this mean if I have myself, my wife, and my son all on the plan we would get 3 apps & 3 desserts???

if so that's a ton of food!!!!!

I was thinking more along the line of 1 app per table!!

ALSO, made all my ps's for 9/4 - 9/10, and none of my rqstd times were turned down...who hooo, hopefully that means parks will not be to crowded!

Yep, thats what it means:

1 appetizer
1 entree
1 non-alcholic drink
1 dessert

Per PERSON per NIGHT! :goodvibes

WoW, we are going the week before (August 22nd-29th) and I couldn't get any time that I wanted, I guess that means it's gonna be more crowded then usual :guilty:

Thanks Gal...man I can eat but 3 apps for our table before dinner and dessert..hmmm, I may need to swim alot more than planned....lol

Maybe you will get lucky and everyone is eating while you're on the rides.

I think getting the time you want depends on party size and restaurants you choose. It was easy to get a table for 2 everywhere we wanted to eat.

I was worried about getting all the apps, but most of the apps at the TSs were small portions.

As far as dessert, those were a bit over the top sometimes and we just couldn't finish them. You could do we did, and give some of your desserts at the CS restaurants away before you start eating. That way the families around you know that you didn't touch them. I felt odd, but I just went up to families and explained that we were on the dining plan and could never eat all the food and would they like to have some of our desserts. Families with teenagers seemed especially receptive.

While it can be a lot of food, this is why Mickey has Pluto bags! You can eat those left overs later that night or the next day. Even if you don't have a fridge, you can use the ice bucket and some ice for small portions. A dessert that isn't melty or perishable (like cake) can easily be eaten later and you don't need refrigeration.

I happily remember eating my lamb and duck left overs from Citricos on the balcony of Wilderness Lodge the next morning while watching the otters in the Otter Pond. We won't mention my neighbors "unmentionable" that was also on display on the next balcony and almost put me off my food.

Jeez dude, put the mouse back in the house.

It is a lot of food!

We plan on splitting two meals between our family of three at all non-buffet/character meals. We figure that between 2 appys, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts, the 3 of us will get more than enough to eat. Plus, we will be able to eat 9 TS meals with 7 days worth of credits. :sunny:

We are going to be there from 8/21 - 8/31 and I got all the PS's I wanted in the time ranges. I even got CRT for Bkfast and Dinner. I also got Norway Storybook Bkfast.

thanks for the answers everyone...I never thought of taking food back to the room. Since I am staying at CBR it is my understanding I will have a fridge so that is a good idea!!

Now here is another stupid dining question. My son is 9 and it doesn't say anything about apps on the kids menu's so does he just not get 1 or would he get to choose from the adult apps? I probably will just tell him no app, but maybe if there is something we all want to try.

Thanks again

If there isn;t a child appetizer on the menu, they get to order form the adult apps.
