Hi Laurabearz,
1st let me say I enjoy reading your post - you always have a positive way about you:D
Okay - if you drink wine - maybe a corkscrew - we always bring a container of wet ones for the park - we also bring a handful of ziplock bags in a variety of sizes - sometimes we don't need them but if we do we have them.
HAVE A GREAT TRIP!

A little reminder about the corkscrew....

If you are flying, be sure it is in your checked luggage and NOT in your carryon. We accidently lost ours at the gate when DH forgot it was in his carryon.

I always throw in a couple bars of hand soap, it's nice to have a bar at the kitchen sink. Sometimes they don't leave one for the extra sink in the master bathroom. I also bring some aluminum foil to wrap leftovers we bring back from restaurants, rather than keep them in the styrofoam box.

Just returned from BWV and BCV and had a corkscrew in the room. If you don't, you can call housekeeping and they'll bring one for you, so no need to pack it. Have fun!!

I second the foil and plastic bags. Also I bring some bath oils/salts/bubbles for the jacuzzi.
Have a great trip.

Now there are bowl covers that fit all sizes, those might be easier than the foil. The ziploc bags are great, if you can get the real large size, they are great for the waterparks as you can put wet bathing suits in them, etc. Also grab some extra sugar packets at the restaurants before you go. Those make it easy if you don't need a lot of sugar for baking.
If the kids drink koolaid, buy some pre sweetened ones and bring them or the ice tea packets.

Don't forget the SOS or Brillo. Looks like your good to go, have a WONDERFUL time.

People already mentioned the ziplocks; I bring all sizes. I use/reuse large gallon bags to pack change of clothes for the kids to keep them from getting wet/moist/dirty in the backpack.

Also, I like those shout dye-attracting sheets for the laundry so I don't have to worry so much about doing a mixed load.

Two other things I will bring next time:

1) those Glad/Ziplock disposable/reusable containers with lids. Our kids sometimes prefer to have a packed sandwich for dinner (and I LOVE the $$ saving), esp. if we eat al fresco in the World Showcase. Having the container is great way to prevent a smooshed sandwich (a crime to my kids). The ones with the dividers are great - goldfish on one side, sandwich on the other.

2) a small softsided cooler/lunchbox thing. I'm not sure why I didn't bring it; I usually pack it for the plane. But it would have been useful in the parks and also for the trip home. We had some perishables that I would have liked to bring home. In fact, I did bring them, we just ate them for lunch at the airport.

Oh, and I packed our trail mix. We assemble our own, it has tons of almonds (which I buy for $2.69/lb at Trader Joe's) and that is our best snack on the run.

Have a great trip!

Is it safe to bring PAM on an airplane? Is there a non-aerosol version?

Coffee filters and coffee are a must. Tea bags as well. They provide one serving of coffee, so you are good for one day at least.

I bring a plastic flask of my favorite libation. :teeth: Nothing like a little Crown Royal or maybe a martini after a long day at the parks. ;)

Microwave popcorn!

We also bring shout or zout to get stains out of clothes.

Yes, it is safe to bring Pam on the plane. Aerosol cans are fine, the cargo hold is pressurized too. I bring soda home with me and nothing happens, have also brought hairspray and have had no problems.

Just an FYI...I was on a field trip with my DD Friday and another mom recently started working security (a federal job) at our state airport, and she said that corkscrews ARE now allowed in carryons...not sure when the change occurred.

Check here for more info about what is and isn't currently permitted:

Just found places where they (Transportation Sercurity Administration) contradict themselves on their website...including corkscrews NOT being allowed. Oh well.

The FAA may allow it, but each airline can ban items. Might be a good idea to go to your airlines website for what is or is not allowed on the plane.

Make sure you place your can of 'PAM' in a ziplock bag just in case the lid pops off an actuates it!

Yeah, and I wouldn't risk security people not knowing that something that was previously banned is allowed again - not worth the hassle!

The easiest way around the corkscrew issue is to call housekeeping for one if it is not in the unit. Or........buy cheap wine with a twist of top. :)

It is a good thing none of us are wine drinkers (well I cant drink at all these days) We prefer our libations with a pop top! LOL

Thanks for all the suggestions....... I think we will bring foil....... that is always good for reheating and we would never use a whole roll while there, so night as well bring ours from home!

I also love the suggestion of the toss out containers...... we bring a whole boat load of fresh fruit into the parks, and those keep them from squishing!

Thanks again!

Forget the corkscrew! If your unit doesn't have one, housekeeping will bring it for you. Our OKW units have always had one in the drawer. I like to bring my own small plastic bottle of dish detergent since I am allergic to Polmolive.

heres my standard list:
Peanut Butter
Jelly
Tuna

Popcorn - microwave
Saran wrap or covers
Large and small ziplocks
Maxwell house coffee already in filters
