Stuff not on Room Service Menu

Great info.
May I ask:

So if you had to make a list of "must have to eat" while on board what would be on your list and location of item (4 day on the wonder)

What type of snacks should I bring for DD3- She loves pop-cornpopcorn::, furit snacks and chips and DH loves oreo cookies- Can I get these on board or bring my own?

What would be your stay away from food list

What be on you pre-order for your shhh!!!! excursion food list

What is the best way to get a little taste of most everything

I have read so much about this cheese platter, whats the rage about... Is it a cost with it. Any place I can get chocolate covered strawberries on a 4-day (wonder Bahamas trip)

Thanks for helping the "greedy girl out"

I too would like to know if the cheese platter is free. My DH and DS love cheese!

Can anyone who has cruised recently confirm if the rice krispy treats are still available through room service? I have a cruise coming up and would love to get them (often)

I have bad news. When we cruised in March, they were available. However, we cruised three weeks ago and I called everyday and they were NOT available. I was very disappointed as I had been successful in getting them on our previos two cruises.

Don't let this stop you from trying as you might get lucky!

Asking again to see if anyone knows....

Some one mentioned mozzerella sticks and chicken wings.....can you get these from room service? What about a sandwich like ham, cheese and pickles....will they make this for you?

Also, how much do you tip for room service? Do you tip based on how much you order, for how many people or what?

What would you tip for a meal for 4 people?

What would you tip for Mickey bars, cookies and milk?

Don't want to tip too less and don't want to over tip either.

Our general rule of thumb for room service is $1 per plate and then a little extra. So for four people, if you each had one plate and drinks, I'd probably tip $10.

I'm so excited to read this thread. We have NEVER ordered room service on any of the cruises we have been on. This is our 1st Disney criuse and it seems as though ordering room service is a must!

A room service thread would not be complete without a mention of how the chocolate chip cookies are the best cookies on the entire planet. They are much better than the ones at the buffet!!

I agree! My family all couldn't get over how great these cookies were! There must put extra magic in them! I ordered 2 plates of them everyday on my 3 day cruise, I can't wait to do the same on my upcoming 7 day cruise! :rolleyes1

There are no "times" on the room service menu items. You can order any item at any time of the day or night--so yes, you can order a hamburger and fries for breakfast and it will be delivered in about 30 minutes.

Good to know! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

My favorite things to order from room service was the All Hands On Deck Cheese Platter, 2 plates of the Magical Chocolate Chip Cookies, French Fries (They remind me of Casey's Corner fries, they are so very yummy!) and of course a Mickey Ice Cream Bar every night! Also, my other favorite is to order room service breakfast and eat it out on my private verandah! :lovestruc

Tipping is always a personal decision, but I think this is high. The regular server (who busts his behind all day) has a recommended $4 per guest per night. That would be $16 per day for this hypothetical family of 4. The guy who brings the room service makes a 10 minute walk down the hall with a tray. That doesn't equate to more than half of the work of the regular server in my book. I'd tip more in the $4-5 range.

Again--tipping is personal; there is no right or wrong.

Does anyone happen to have a picture of a room service breakfast menu (or hang tag) from the Dream?

Can't wait to order a cheese platter...some chocolate chip cookies...and a few Mickey Bars!!!

On the DCL website, it says,

Lunch and Dinner
Lunch and dinner items are available all day and night except during the morning hours when breakfast is served.

But you said that you can get a hamburger for breakfast if you want to. Do you know if they hold fast to that "no lunch/dinner options at breakfast" rule? I know that FH was looking forward to having pizza for breakfast... but when I read to him what it says on the DCL website, he got a little sad. :sad1:

Also, I'd like to see pictures of the FREE cheese plate and the FREE fruit bowl if anyone has any!!! :)

This is an old thread and I skimmed it quickly, but didn't see Mickey Head Rice Krispy Treats listed. I apologize if it was already mentioned on this thread. You can order them dipped in chocolate or plain.

They are "free" through room service or you can buy a box of the exact same thing at the concession stand by the movie theater for around $11.

Fondue Mickey Rice Crispy Treats!? Seriously?

So Excited

That's my fiance. Always finding the most unhealthy thing on the menu... and then ordering 10 of them. :lmao:

I saw a photo of the cheese platter and it was cheese slices ( chedder, swiss, etc...not exactly what I pictured. Can someone confirm or deny this..

I've never had the cheese platter on the Dream, but I have had it on the Magic and the Wonder and it wasn't slices. I would say it was more like wedges of cheese, it varies from one order to the next but usually it was a combination of 3 or 4 different types, like gouda, blue cheese, cheddar and brie, along with crackers and grapes. This has become our bedtime tradition, we order milk and cookies for the girls and I get a cheese platter. :thumbsup2

That's what I was hoping it would be. Wonder if the photo was of something else???:confused3
