Stuff not on Room Service Menu

I haven't tried ordering them through room service, but you can get chicken wings around 7:00 at Diversions along with nachos and hot dogs. They were so yummy!
Nachos??? :cloud9: I know where I'm going on the next cruise! Thanks.:thumbsup2

Are the grilled cheeses the Uncrustable kind?

I've heard it is possible to get mozzarella sticks. Has anyone been able to get these through room service before?

This thread is making me so hungry that I picked up the phone to order. They told me to stop calling because our cruise doesn't leave until June 27th. :rotfl:

I loved loved loved the steak sandwich! I had ordered that for my hubby, and the southwestern pizza for me... when it all came, he didn't happen to be in the room... after I tried the pizza (which was yucky) I ate his whole sandwich! We had to order another one so he could eat too lol. After that, they started sending 2 of everything we asked for... I guess he didn't want to keep making extra trips....

YOU CRACK ME UP!!!!! :rotfl2:

Ok, could I bring my own plastic cup w or w/o a lid on the cruise and fill it up instead of getting a card or their cup???

I am goign to be sending a box of goodies to the ship now anyway, might as well.

Also, can I leave things like the sand pail, etc. at Castaway Cay for the next family or will they throw it away? Do they have sand toys to play with or will I need to purchase them?

You are welcome to bring your own cup, but they have tons of paper cups (with lids) available at the 24-hour drink station. Sure beats having to wash out your own cup! :) And, just to clarify, you don't need a card to get your drinks... you just walk up to the station, pull out a paper cup, and get your own drink... as often as you'd like! :) It's very convenient!

It's my understanding that anything left behind at Castaway Cay is not saved for future guests. :sad2:

Sorry... forgot to answer this one... you'd have to either bring your own sand toys or purchase them at one of the island gift shops.

If you plan on taking the Uncrustables (big tip here) on an excursion, be sure to ask for them to NOT put it in the microwave before delivering them to you. I ordered them (the night before going off ship, to take with us) and they were pretty messy the next day. I learned a big lesson. But, they were still good and tasty!:thumbsup2

So do you suggest just asking them to keep them frozen? Or do you tell them you want them for an excursion the next day? I didn't know they would microwave them...thanks for the tip

Technically, you aren't allowed to take food off and on the ship, so you probably wouldn't want to mention anything about an excursion. :rolleyes1

The reason for microwaving the sandwiches is because they're kept frozen until ordered. Uncrustables actually taste better if they are allowed to thaw on their own instead of being microwaved. :)

Yes, thats exactly what I'm saying. If you let them thaw, it'll take no time. And, have you ever had them partially frozen? They are YUMMY that way.:thumbsup2

Last summer we bought a case of water on deck 9 where they were selling the beverage packages (wine, water, etc.). We joked that we wished we could have wine delivered to the room each night and the guy said that he could do that. Every evening after dinner we found a chilled bottle of wine and a cheese & cracker tray in our the room. A great way to end each day. Turns out the same guy we bought it from actually brought it to the cabin each night. We didn't know where to find him, but gave the restaurant manager an envelope with his name on it and he promised to deliver the tip. We are going again in 2 weeks and hopefully we will be able to arrange this again.

Yes they are free, and I think I saw some kids there on some of the nights we went and the kids were not kicked out.

I might have missed it, are there wings every night at diversions and around what time do they have them out?

A room service thread would not be complete without a mention of how the chocolate chip cookies are the best cookies on the entire planet. They are much better than the ones at the buffet!!

how much did that cost you?

As has already been posted, yes they are free. Diversions is adult only after a certain time which I can't remember off the top of my head. 9pm perhaps?

We had late dining and so would see the main show and then go directly from there to the cabaret that was usually at 7:30 in Rockin-Bar-Dee. After getting seats I walked over to Diversions and got a plate of nachos and cheese to take back to the other bar and we nibbled on those while watching the cabaret show.

The wings are breaded. The first time I had them last year they were fairly spicey. Not really hot, but spicey. This last cruise they were more of a sweeter barbecue sauce. I was hoping for the spicey again.
