We are going to HH for the first time in mid-April. We've asked my parents to come too, but since my mom has a bad knee and stairs are not easy for her, we have made ressies for a studio (still need one more night to come through) for them. Are all the studios in the Lodge where she does not need to do stairs because it has elevators? We did not want to request a handicap room because I've read how some people do not like the showers in them. Also, is there room in the studio (and a table with chairs) for them to have breakfast or a light meal? Thank you in advance for any information.

There are studios in the lodge and also in the other buildings. The other buildings all have at least one flight of steps (even those on the "first floor"). I'd suggest calling MS and specifically request a studio in the lodge -- if you tell them it's for medical reasons, your chances improve. You can also request that you not be given a handicap room

DH and I stayed in a studio last May and found it quite comfortable -- plenty of room for a light breakfast, etc. One other suggestion -- take a night light. I don't know about the Lodge rooms, but the others can be quite dark and the night light is a big help.

Hope you have a great trip

There are a total of 21 studios and 16 of them will have elevator access in the lodge area.

I would specify the need for the elevator, but let them know you don't require wheel chair access in the room.

The studio will have a table and chairs to enjoy a meal. They will have the small fridge and microwave.

View options are Marsh view and Island view. (I'd request the Marsh view, as they may get to watch dolphin and otter from the balcony!!)

Enjoy!
