Hi..

Anyone else get stuck on TTA in Tomorrowland Oct 4th? Had to be walked off the ride...stuck close to an hour. We were that nutty group near space mountain that started singing in the dark! It seemed like there were quite a few ride issues this trip for us.

TTA -stuck an hour
Pirates- got on boat..ride shut down
Splach Mtn- ride shut down temp
Rock rollercoaster- ride shut down

Not that we expected it, but never offered a fastpass to anything, oh well, maybe they heard our singing!

Wow. That's horrible. I'm so sorry to hear about this. It's unfortunate that they didn't even offer you fastpasses. I would have gone to guest services and complained. You paid for a full price ticket but you weren't able to experience all the rides you wanted to. I hope this doesn't happen to me in December!

One of the exeriances my kids and I still talk about is the time we got stuck on The Great Movie Ride. First we were stuck at the Aliens section with the creature coming down over and over. They got our "car" moving again but it stopped in the Indiana Jones section. Eventualy they had us get off the car and we walked back to the beginning and out.

Maybe we haven't been down enough but this was the only real time a ride broke down while we were on it and it was very cool! :cool1:

When I was a little kid, we were stuck in Pirates right at the cannon fight...in the complete darkness with no sound either (there was apparently a thunderstorm outside)...spooky when you are a kid!

Back in Feb 2001, we got stuck in Buzz Lightyear (at least the guns were still working). We were in the tunnel with the spaceships flying overhead (the one with the whole thing rear projected onto the wall). We racked up so many points in that twenty minutes!!!

I got stuck on Space Mountain for my senior trip. It is really neat to see it with all the lights on and how high the track really goes. I was afraid I was going to have to use that skinny set of stairs to get down. I am afraid of heights. It came back on after about five minutes, two cars got too close to one another.

We did not get stuck on TTA, but got stuck on Splash on 10/5. The whole experience lasted about 45 minutes. We were alone in a log with just another log filled with people and the music kept on playing and playing and playing. After about five minutes they turned on the lights and started making announcements. However since the music was still playing and playing and playing, we had no idea what they were saying. It was 20 minutes before we saw a Splash worker who told us to remain in our logs. Another 10 minutes later, we were escorted out of the logs. Then after they had everyone out of the logs (from every section), we were escorted down the mountain.

It was an awful experience for my daughter and son. They were getting very scared and felt that they had forgotten about us. They gave us a free fast pass for anyride. However, since the whole process took so long, we missed the special halloween wishes fireworks that night. The only thing going through my mind during this experience was, what would of happened if there was a fire--would the music still be playing over their announcements? At what point do you investigate to see what is going on? Twenty minutes is a very long time to go without seeing a CM.

Then, two nights later, the ride broke down again around the same time and we were on it again. This time it stopped for about five minutes then they got it running again just to be stopped again for about ten minutes. However, this time we were on a section of the ride outside so it was not so scary. We actually saw Spectro from our log. After that time, my kids had enough of Splash so we gave all of our remaining FP's away for that ride.

We didn't get stuck on TTA on 10/4, we were the next people to be about to go up the ramp TO the TTA when they shut it down. Had to ride it during MNSSHP (was a MUST DO for me, & 1st time for my wife). Was great when we finally did get to ride it.

You probably can't see them, but all the attractions are fully sprinkled inside by law. There are all sorts of exit signs all over the attractions, too, so if it was stopped, you could get yourself out if needed. The exit signs should be on a special power system so that they remain lit even if the power goes out. Plus, I bet other lighting would come on.

Now if you are in the middle of the lake on POTC, you'd have to get wet to get out. Or wait to get rescued in a boat.

I knew that the ride would have sprinklers, but my concern is that we had no idea what they were telling us because of the music playing.

Agreed....I think I would rather get stuck on Splash than POTC.

we had a big problem with rides breaking down while were were on them:

1. Splash mountain - twice, one with being walked off of it after an hour
2. Test Track - broke down while we were on the fast outside part - had to be walked off after 30 minutes
3. Space mountain - broke down on dh and FIL
4. aerosmith - broke down while in line, then stopped while on it, then second time on it no music
5. norway - boat stuck in part where back end sticks outside a bit
6. POC - stopped about 5 minutes
7. Spaceship Earth - stopped about 10 minutes
8. Haunted Mansion - stopped twice, about 10 minutes each

And there were other I can't remember now - it got to the point where we thought we were jinxed!

I got stuck on the TTA twice in one weekend in June. We got fastpasses for any ride in the MK when we finally got evacuated. We used them on Peter Pan and Splash Mountain.

We were stcuk on Splash Mountain for 10 minutes or so. Was really cool.

I notice alot of us are from South jersey. Does Disney have it in for us? :bitelip:

I maybe the only one to say this, but you are so LUCKY to have been stuck on all of those rides! I would have loved to have evacuated from the TTA! I love getting stuck on Disney rides! I would be the crazy person taking pictures from every angle (with no flash of course!)

Hope you had a great time!

:teeth:

I got stuck on Haunted Manison, It's a Small World, Winnie the Pooh all the freakin time. Which is why I think the Haunted Manison totally freaks me out. :confused3
