Stuck on Splash, Swimming in Sewage, & Still Laughing! A "Classy" 6/11 TR- 5/6 DONE!

Ahhh Boma :lovestruc Their breakfast buffet is delicious! And that Jungle Juice is FANTASTIC. At Kona they have a similar (if not the same?) juice but they call it like... Lilikoi Juice or something? Just as delicious.

That guy sounds like SUCH a jerk. I absolutely hate people like that at Disney. They make me sick.

---

Yes it's called the Tronorail :) You are correct!

It is DEFINITELY weird entering Epcot from the back way. It's like a whole different experience. But you're gonna fall in love with it just because you're going to love staying at an Epcot resort so much :thumbsup2 I guarantee it.

I LOVE the Finding Nemo queue. It just smells so good!

YES THAT'S A DEER FACE! YAY JOHN!!

I have to catch up on the last update later! :)

Casey's and Pecos Bill are the best to CS restaurants in MK. You can't go wrong with either!

I think the whole thing with the seating is that they try to get people to eat outside. Since the restaurant is so small they probably want to file people through.

Yay for a nice night at Magic Kingdom! MSEP is always beautiful!

Ok so reading this TR and you are hilarious. Getting ready to read your other two now.
Totally with John on loving Star Wars. My first trip to Disney in 2006 was during Star Wars weekend and I was a big nerd about it.
I am also a huge Harry Potter fan. I really want to go to IOA but can't make myself give up a day at Disney to do it. Maybe sometime soon.

I would have had an anxiety attack if I had been stuck on any ride that long. I don't know how you guys did that.:scared1:
Look forward to reading more. Now I'm off to read your other TR's.:yay:

Casey's looks so cute, every time we walk by it, I think "we should really try that place!" But we never do! Maybe in May I'll be brave and try something new...I'm not a big hot dog person, but I suppose I could eat one in Disney! And that cheese sauce looks amazing. Seriously, I know it's only cheese sauce, but I could eat that stuff like soup. Brandon thinks it's so weird that I like cheese sauce, he only likes "real" cheese. :cool2:

I'm not watching your MSEP video! I'm sorry, but I don't want that creepy music in my head all night! Bring back Spectro! :thumbsup2

I am so behind on this TR!!! Back to the DHS morning...

HAHAH so funny that John almost blow dried your hair because that's basically what Mike did on the WWoHP day.

The Promised Lans is definitely a pretty accurate comparison. :thumbsup2

I always love seeing the character too!

Woody is the best. <3

HAHAHAHA THE BIBLE ON TAPE. (SO TRUE)

Darth Vadar just silences a room. :P YES PHOTO BOMBING!!! I love it.

Aw no Hidden Mickey's. :/ Onto lunch!

-------------------------------------------

Eugene has the BEST sense of humor ever. I am in love with him. :lovestruc

Dumb and Dumber. CLASSIC.

Only in Disney do strangers give you their food and it's okay. THAT'S WHY I LOVE IT.

AH GREASE! I just did that show in the Fall. <333

WAS SHE BIANCA!?!? "Bianca says run, you RUN. Bianca says hide, you HIDE."

BEANS. :lovestruc

-----------------------------

You ARE awesome. I agree though. Disney Channel has definitely gone downhill.

I have icky naps often...but never in Disney. THERE IS NO SLEEPING.

I collect Old Navy flip flops...does that count?

EWWWWW A BEE FLEW IN YOUR MOUTH!?!?! And ew to the crunch story too haha.

I WANT EVERYTHING IN TREN-D. Seriously.

....Am I using caps too much?

So Vinylmation is basically like mystery pin trading but with figurines? Got it. It always confused me a bit.

YOU LOOK LIKE STACEY. You really do. EEE yes DTD Stace shot!

AH YES YOU WENT TO BOMA! It's sooooo good!

It's called Jungle Juice at Boma and Lilikoi Juice at Kona and Ohana. The general name is "Frunch," or "POG" if you will. It stands for Passion-Orange-Guava, which are the three juices that comprise it. (:

What a JERK!!! I cannot believe that! Sometimes Disney is just too nice.

----------------------------

Nope, it's the TRONorail. (:

It is weird, but you'll get used to it REAL fast. <333

I agree. That Lion King movie-show terrifies me! You leave and you're just like "Okay...they basically just told me I'm a terrible creature and I'm ruining Simba's life. WELL NOW I FEEL GOOD."

That is a TOTAL deer face! :thumbsup2

I'm obsessed with the pool at AKL. It's beautiful. :cloud9:

----------------------------

I agree, the seating at Casey's is a problem, but if you can grab one of those outdoor tables during the parade or Dream Along With Mickey, then the experience is totally perfect!

I love the picture of the castle with the water!

Wow! That is an incredibly productive evening!

I WATCHED IT THREE TIMES.

.........

I'M SORRY PROFESSOR UMBRIDGE. I KNOW I must not tell lies. :scared:

“Um…we went to Disney, we did some stuff. Now we’re home. Then End.”

HAHAHA. Brilliance. -standing ovation and handshake from the inventor of cheese sauce-

YAY! All caught up! What brilliance this TR is. :worship:

Hahahahha! I really hope no tornados ever sweep you off to Oz while John is sleeping. That might be a confusing thing to wake up to. :rotfl:

Yay for Casey's! I completely agree about the seating though! There are just not enough tables! But the VIEW is incredible! Can't beat it!

Okay so whenever I tell people this they always (most likely immediately) stop liking me, but I've never liked cheese sauce of any kind. I don't know why! I'm sorry. But I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

OMG, you got stuck AGAIN on Splash? That's scary... I've been hearing way too often lately about people getting stuck on that ride! They're gonna need to get their act together with that ride before we're both riding this summer!

I love MSEP too! It's the first parade I ever saw at MK! :lovestruc I actually don't find the music annoying at all, for some reason! I just think it's so happy and fun! YEAH MSEP!

Hahaha yeah we would definitely be a little befuddled if we wound up hanging out with the Tinman!

Casey's is so wonderful, despite the seating! I won't like, I'm a little shocked by your aversion to cheese sauce, but I still love you!

Seriously, I don't know what's going on with Splash! It sounds like it needs some refurb work, but I don't want it to close while we're both there!

YAY! I'm so glad you enjoy MSEP like I do! I think it drives a lot of people crazy! :confused3

YAY for MK! Casey's looks very good - I love the snack options you mentioned too! :thumbsup2 And what an awesome view! :lovestruc

It sounds like you guys had a very productive evening. That's scary that you got stuck on Splash again though. Wow. I so hope that doesn't happen to us.

The video of MSEP definitely made up for not having lots of pictures. :goodvibes That's something I'm so looking forward to on our trip :yay: since I haven't seen it since I was little (we always managed to miss it at DCA)!

Casey's is amazing! I would definitely recommend it!

It was a great evening, despite getting stuck on Splash again! I hope it doesn't happen to you too!

I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I love that parade so much! :goodvibes

So glad you went to Casey's! I am borderline obsessed with both Casey's and Peco's Bill's, but Casey's is the winner for me by a hair... can't beat those hot dogs!!!! And the cheese sauce?! Don't even get me started!!! I do, however, have the same complaint about the seating  Glad to hear you and John had a productive night at MK! :thumbsup2

I totally understand your obsession! We went to Pecos Bill's on our December trip and I loved it too, especially when I realized they also have CHEESE SAUCE.

It was great night, and very productive! :thumbsup2

Ahhh Boma :lovestruc Their breakfast buffet is delicious! And that Jungle Juice is FANTASTIC. At Kona they have a similar (if not the same?) juice but they call it like... Lilikoi Juice or something? Just as delicious.

I have to catch up on the last update later! :)

I just realized that was the same juice as at Kona! That's so cool! I love it there too! :goodvibes

I hate people like that too. They totally take advantage of Disney's hospitality.

Haha yay! I got it right!

I'm so excited to stay at an Epcot resort! EEEEE!

It does smell good! You're right!

Haha yay! He seems to make deer faces a lot!

I agree! We tried Pecos Bill in December and loved it too! They're both great!

Yeah that makes sense! If they would add some more tables outside instead of those weird tall tables with no chairs, I think that would help!

It was a great night! I LOVE MSEP!

I hope you enjoy my other TRs too!

You should definitely try it! They have the best hotdogs I've ever had, and the cheese sauce makes it all worth it! Haha Brandon is a cheese snob! ;) He needs to get on board with the magic that is cheese sauce.

HAHA oh come on you know want to watch it! ;)

I am so behind on this TR!!! Back to the DHS morning...

Haha boys are so impatient, especially when they're excited about something like like Star Wars or Harry Potter!

Darth Vader is very intimidating!

I was bummed about the hidden Mickeys, but Sci Fi made it all better!

Seriously, nowhere but Disney would I take food from a total stranger and not be creeped out. I love it!

That's so cool that you just did Grease! Awesome! :thumbsup2

She wasn't Bianca, but she was Bianca's sidekick. I can't even remember her name, but she was the one who followed Bianca around all day and delivered her threats to everyone!

Hahaha Beans! "Do you have any bacon?!"

Thank you!

Haha you're right- no sleeping in Disney! I have shamed myself... :lmao:

YES that totally counts. I love Old Navy flip flops, and they're so cheap!!

Tren-D is so amazing, but I've never bought anything there. I'm determined to in July!

And no, you are not using caps too much at all. I love the enthusiasm!

Yep, that's pretty much the jest of Vinlymations! :thumbsup2

OMG THANK YOU. Seriously, nicest compliment ever. I love you. :cloud9:

Boma was amazing! Thank you for the info about the juice! You are an expert! :)

I think being able to WALK to Epcot is definitely going to be worth not seeing SE first thing!!

Hahaha that's exactly how I feel about the Lion King show! It's very depressing!

You're right, that pool is amazing!

That's a good idea for grabbing a spot at Casey's! I will have to do that next time, so we can soak up all the atmosphere!

YAY! I'm so glad you watched it multiple times! I LOVE THAT PARADE!

Thank you so much for your comments, I always enjoy reading them so much!

Ahh, I’m so sorry! I promised another update immediately after the last one and I completely did not follow through. Shame on me! I will try to make this one exceptionally good to make up for it! ;)

The next morning we were up bright and early with a serious mission: to get FP’s for Soarin’! I tried to hurry through my getting-ready process, which meant I was only able to stare at the amazing AKL bathroom wallpaper for twenty minutes instead of my usual hour. Pretty soon we were out the door and on our way!

AnniversaryTrip519.jpg

Let’s do this thing! John immediately took off to get us some FP’s, and I started making my way toward Mission:Space. I cut through Mouse Gears, and I fully enjoyed the early morning lack-of-crowds. We met up at M:S and went our separate ways. John is an orange side kind of guy, while I stick to the green side. As much as I desperately want to like the orange side I just can’t. The one time I rode it I honestly felt like my chest was going to explode, so I just go the other route now. Besides, I’m more concerned with seeing Gary Sinise than the actual right, let’s be honest.

I had heard about the new attraction “Sum of all Thrills” in Innoventions, so after we finished our trip to Mars we decided to go check it out! If you don’t know what this is, it’s where you can design your own virtual roller coaster, and then “ride” it in this simulator thing. John thought it sounded really fun because he said he always wanted to ride the rollercoasters he created on Rollercoaster Tycoon, so this was his chance. I couldn’t argue with that logic so we made our way to Innoventions!

AnniversaryTrip520.jpg

Excited waiting in line picture!

AnniversaryTrip521.jpg

Note to self- no matter how good of an idea it may seem at the time to save some valuable Disney time and skip straightening my hair, I will NEVER make that mistake again. Check out my news reporter quaff I'm rocking. Not to mention my nose looks like a poorly drawn picture of itself.

Anyway, the wait was about twenty minutes. When it was our turn we went up to this big flat screen that you touched to create your coaster. You had to decided how many drops and loops it would have, but you had to make sure you used a reasonable amount of energy or something. It’s all very scientific, so naturally I can’t explain it at all. All I know is that John made it as intense as he possibly could.

Before you got in your simulator you had to put all of your stuff in this little locker. Well, apparently John forgot that he had about $50 worth of change in his pocket, because once we got in the simulator and got started the change went EVERYWHERE. It was hitting us in the head and everything. I got popped by a quarter right above my eyebrow and that KILLED. Seriously, very painful.

Overall I wasn’t a huge fan of Sum of All Thrills. Maybe it had to do with the flying coins, but I think it really just wasn’t my thing. I didn’t really feel like I was on a roller coaster, I just felt like I was being flipped all around.

We still had a little bit of time before we could use our Soarin’ FPs, and we were feeling snacky, so we decided to go to Sunshine Seasons and get a healthy and nutritious breakfast.

JUST KIDDING. We’re at Disney, duh. We got…dessert for breakfast!

AnniversaryTrip522.jpg

I had heard wonderful things about the strawberry shortcake on the DIS, so I had to try it. John went with a chocolate thing, I guess it’s just chocolate cake. Anyway, that strawberry shortcake was SO GOOD. Seriously, it was light and fluffy and delicious. I recommend this, especially when you want a sweet treat on a hot summer day.

Sunshine Seasons is one of my favorite places to rest and people watch. I guess since it’s right in the middle of the action at The Land I feel like I am completely immersed. We enjoyed our snacks and sat back to relax a little and wait for our FP time!

AnniversaryTrip523.jpg

It was a few minutes after eleven, so as you could see we had about fifteen minutes to wait.

Luckily, we had our usual weird people tendencies to keep us busy. John and I have this long running game we play that will probably seem strange to everyone else, but it’s very fun to us. So here’s how it works: we each have iPhones, and we basically randomly film one another with our phones and see who can tape the longest before the other person notices. That sounds really dumb, but we have a blast with it because we always catch the other person doing weird things.

I decided to go for it while we were sitting at the table, so I started pretending like I was playing with my phone while I was secretly taping John as he anxiously awaited our Soarin’ FP time and discussed our lunch ADR.

Darn it, he caught me! I did make it over a minute though, which is pretty good. You’ll see more of those strange videos later, because I did that to him a lot on this trip. Muah ha ha!

Anyway, before we knew it, it was time to ride Soarin’! I love this ride so much, especially when you don’t have to wait in that insanely long standby line. I know I’ve said this a million times before, but my favorite part is smelling the oranges. Ahh Disney, why are you so perfect?

After our ride on Soarin’ it was time for our lunch ADRs! John had specially requested this one, and we had to make our way all the way to the World Showcase. Any guesses where we went?

Can you tell by this picture?

AnniversaryTrip524.jpg

Or this one?

AnniversaryTrip525.jpg

Haha I act like I’m being all sneaky when I just posted a picture of the entire restaurant. It was Tokyo Dining! John is a sushi fanatic, and he had been begging to come back here. We had been here once before but I hadn’t tried anything. He had gotten some sushi and said it was some of the best he had ever had.

Okay so I have pictures of our food but I have absolutely no idea what we actually ordered.

Here’s mine:

AnniversaryTrip526.jpg

And here’s John’s:

AnniversaryTrip527.jpg

I know that his had some sort of eel in it, because that’s what he always orders, but I have no recollection of mine. All I remember is that, unfortunately, I didn’t really like it. Sushi is always either hit or miss for me, and this one was a miss. It was okay, but I was only able to eat about a third of it.

Our waitress was really sweet and she brought us a special anniversary dessert with an origami heart!

AnniversaryTrip528.jpg

See the Mickey and Minnie heads? How cute! This dessert was very light and yummy. The chocolate on top was delicious!

While we were finishing our sodas and digesting our lunch I called the bank to check our balance, and I found out I had gotten my summer bonus! Woo hoo! I hadn’t been expecting it, so that was more money for Disney, right in the middle of our trip! What a pleasant surprise!

After our lunch it was time for some World Showcase fun! First we wandered around Japan and took some pictures!

AnniversaryTrip529.jpg

AnniversaryTrip530.jpg

AnniversaryTrip531.jpg

We decided to go back to France so I could get one of my all-time favorite Disney World beverages, and looked who crossed our path in Morocco!

AnniversaryTrip532.jpg

That’s right, Aladdin and Jasmine, AKA the world’s most perfect couple. Look at the guy in front of them with the sunglasses, waltzing along as if there’s not TOTAL ROYALTY right behind him.

There was already a long line to meet them, so I settled on stalking them a little bit.

AnniversaryTrip533.jpg

Look how beautiful Jasmine is, I mean SHEESH. Could you please not be so entirely perfect? Thanks.

Anyway, not being Jasmine was seriously depressing me so it was time to drown my sorrows with this beautiful concoction.

AnniversaryTrip534.jpg

I still credit Sam Brown for my discovery of the amazing Grand Marnier orange slushie. I love these things, but I can never drink a whole one. I always end up sharing with John, and even though he swears he doesn’t like them, he never objects to taking it off my hands.

Pretty much as soon as we got my drink a random summer shower came out of nowhere and it started POURING down rain. You know how it is, when five feet away the sky is totally blue but it’s raining right above you? That’s pretty much what was happening. We made our way as fast as possible back to Morocco and found a nice covered place to sit.

It was raining pretty steadily, so we decided to get out of it for a bit by going to the American Adventure. When we went into the lobby I got SO EXCITED when I realized the Voices of Liberty Choir was out! I am so obsessed with them and their perfect voices. And guess what…I MADE A VIDEO.

It’s very short, but amazing nonetheless.

AnniversaryTrip538.jpg

AnniversaryTrip539.jpg

AnniversaryTrip540.jpg

I love that show! It’s so stinking inspirational; I can’t help but tear up every time. Plus I love the theater! It’s gorgeous! John loves the darkness and the comfy seats. It’s his favorite nap location in all of Disney!

Up Next: More adventures in the World Showcase, then we’re off to DTD where I get anniversary presents! Yippeee!

Great update! :goodvibes The orange smell is one of my favorite parts of Soarin. Ahhh. :)

We've never eaten at Tokyo Dining. I'm a sushi fan and DW is not though she's starting to come around. I'll admit that I do like the orange Grand Marinier slushie. It's delicious!

I have to agree with you on the orange side of Mission Space...once was enough lol though I did actually feel worse on the green side as I wasn't sure what to expect!

Oh no on coins flying out at the both of you on Sum of Thrills and ruining the experience.

Aaw my Strawberry Shortcake!!!! :lmao: I love that thing SOOO much and could happily have one now!

Am sorry that the sushi was a miss but yay on the dessert and added touches :wizard:

Sounds like you had fun at WS!

Last time we went to Tokyo Dining we were pleased with the sushi. Kudos to you for trying it, but eel is always hit or miss for my husband!:confused3

The rest of the sushi we got was excellent! The miso soup was good too.

Can't wait to read about the rest of your day!:thumbsup2

Ok- Just got caught up on your While TR, so bear with me!

I understand your Disney Depression before you got there- we were actually in Florida for our 5th Anniversary (06/17) the exact same time you were there! We started off-site because DH had a work convention. I finally got to be at Disney June 16-20th, so I'm looking forward to see if we were at the same parks on the same days as you!

I am not a sushi fan, so that didn't look good at all. But all your other food has looked AMAZING. When we go next I'm debating breakfast at Boma or Kona Cafe the day we leave for the Dream. Any suggestions?

Oh, also- were you not on the Dining Plan this trip? We've never done the Dining Plan- and I know you did on your 1st and 3rd TR trips and was wondering which one you recommend?

AND your first TR inspired me to buy a D+B crossbody bag- my birthday was 2 weeks ago, and DH told me I could buy my own present- Disney Store had them on sale, and I had a $40 DVC gift card so I only paid $80 for it!!!

No orange side of Mission Space? I LOVE the orange side, but Brandon won't do it, he doesn't even like the green side that much, so that's gonna be a solo ride for me from now on.

I've never done the Sum of all Thrills and I can't say that I want to! I love roller coasters, but somehow, being flipped around doesn't really sound all that great. Especially if you left some coins in your pocket and they were pelting you the whole time! :rotfl2:

I LOVE Sunshine Seasons! That strawberry shortcake looks so good, I really want to try it, but I can never pass up the cheese danish, seriously there is just something about the cheese danish in Disney, it is SO good!

HAHAHA I love the video of John! Brandon and I don't take video of each other, but we take pictures with our phones without the other one knowing, and then we'll text each other the picture...while we're in the same room. It's great watching tv, eating, and then looking down at your phone seeing a picture of yourself stuffing yourself or making a weird face! I might have to try secretly recording him, but I feel like that might get out of control a little...

Awww, Aladdin and Jasmine! :lovestruc Every time I see Jasmine in the parks, she is SO beautiful! I'm totally intimidated by her!

I remember when Samantha Brown had a Grand Mariner slush, I think that's when I first discovered them too! They are just so good, I can't wait to be drinking one in 30 days! :woohoo:

I love the Voices of Liberty, they're so wonderful! And the American Adventure is one of my favorites, I always cry during it too!

I've never done either side of Mission: Space! I get so motion sick so I'm very wary of it.

Oh my gosh, that does sound really painful! I'm sorry. :( Ouch!

Hahah! I love your little game. That sounds like something me and my sister would do. Hahahaha, "I'm hungry now." :rotfl:

YAY! I was in the right ballpark at least, I guessed it was somewhere in Japan because in the video John asked if you'd get another pearl. I'm sorry you didn't really like your sushi! All I know is that picture makes me want some so badly... I'm realizing right now that I haven't had any in like a year!

If you can't meet Aladdin and Jasmine, stalking them is definitely the next best thing! :thumbsup2

The Voices of Liberty sound awesome! I can't believe I've never seen them before!

I LOVE Casey's too! I like their corn dog nuggets though. And I totally agree about the lack of seating there. The last time I was there Jack was still in a stroller, so I was trying to balance everything AND push a stroler. Never. Again.

Great update! :goodvibes Your Epcot start sounds a lot like how ours typically is. I always send Miguel to get the Soarin' FPs and I just enjoy the quietness of the park in the meantime. :cloud9:

I refuse to do the orange side of Mission:Space. I am terrified! I have never tried it though, so you are far braver than me! We normally ride once together, and then I sit and wait for Miguel to do the orange side. I don't know if I'd even feel comfortable doing the green side myself. Some thing about that ride freaks me out! :scared1:

I'm sorry to hear you didn't like the Sum of All Thrills. I did LOL at your story of the flying change, though! :rotfl:
