Hertz Additional Driver / AAA

We usually book our cars thru Costco so we get an additional driver for free (it’s generally my sister and I).

I see Hertz has a good rate, and the website mentions if you are a AAA member you get a second driver for free. Has anyone used this benefits?

The caveat is that the second driver also has to be a AAA member. I've used it for my wife, who is on my AAA membership, but they did not allow it at MCO with my business partner last year as he is not a AAA member.
