stuck in two rides in one day

I am a Disney fanatic but also very claustrophobic as well. I don't consider myself insane or in need of medicine however, I myself am getting nervous with the most recent posts on this board concerning "stuck" rides.
There is a whole thread that was posted a few days ago on the "worst ride breakdown experience" that freaked me out. We are scheduled to go in October, and already I have ruled out the POC, Splash Mountain and possibly Test Track due to the breakdown stories I have read.
A flashlight may help, but not if I'm not allowed to leave! To me, its the feeling of "I can't get out" and the loss of control over the situation. My husband does think I"m a little overdramatic with it, but claustrophobia is something only fellow sufferers can understand.
I love DisneyWorld and hate to have my upcoming trip ruined by thoughts of the rides getting stuck. The thought of the CM's not being concerned about the frightened children especially concerns me. Any CM's out there want to comment on this???? Any other advice for us claustrophobes who love Disney??

Oh please don't rule out three of the best rides in all of WDW because of these stories. What you need to remember is that these are all time worst stories. These are not every day occurances. I can't promise you that you won't get stuck, but remember that most of these people posting have probably ridden hundreds and hundreds of rides and are mentioning once or twice they got stuck. Also, I wanted to let you know that the rides that are continuous loaders (Haunted Mansion, Buzz, etc) will sometimes stop for a minute or two. That's because they need to stop the ride in order to load a passenger with disabilities. I just mention this so that you, and others who are nervous about getting stopped, understand why this is happenning and know that you'll start right back up and nothing is wrong.

So please, reconsider your decision not to ride certain rides. Of the three rides you mentioned, I have ridden Pirates probably a dozen times and never been stopped, Test Track 2 dozen times and never been stopped, and Splash Mountain...well I've lost count of how many times I've ridden that (it's my favorite). There was one trip where I had two significant stops on it (one was about 3-4 minutes, one was about 5-10) minutes. Those were either the same day or two days apart 3 years ago. On my last 4 trips to WDW I did not get stuck once on that ride, and like I said, I've lost track of the number of times I rode it.

You're very welcome. Have a great time and be sure to post a trip report when you get back!
