Strollers...I need to get this off my chest

What's worse than six friggin pages, is that I sat here and read every reply:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl: me too!

and you know what? I actually care about those stroller questions, AND I thought the OP was so so funny!!!

I thought it was light hearted fun! But I do find it easy to laugh at myself...and a good thing too because I am always doing stupid stuff! :rotfl2:

Laughed out loud when I read the original post.

What I don't understand is why people pay so much for strollers and other child gadgets. My child too, I'm sure, will be psychologically scarred from spending her first 2 years in a cossatto £25 umbrella stroller. :woohoo:

You should be ashamed of your cheap stroller.
Money saved on a cheap stroller now, just means money spent on therapists later.....:lmao:

ditto! :lmao: :lmao:

But i'm still waiting for the pic of that "bionic stroller"...

Me too!!!

I have only been on these boards for a few (addicted) months, but can sooooo see the humor in the OP! I cracked up when I read the freshman comment!

Strollers, stroller rentals, crocs, ADR's... they are everywhere! I wish you all luck on finding the "perfect" whatever it is you are looking for!

um, well, gee, the whole freshman thing...I find the footrest area of the rental strollers to be a great place for a rest, although I cannot travel there comfortably :lmao:

OMG! I thought I my kids needed therapy cause their Dad was a moron, now i know its cause I bought their strollers at yard sales! How silly of me not to know!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

This thread is hilariously I check it everyday just to make me laugh!!!! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Ok, I had to wade through literally thousands of pictures to find one of the stroller. It's not very good; I hadn't thought to take a picture of it by itself.

The girls were 6 and 8 when this picture was taken, and they both fit comfortably. Remember, it was a single stroller when I started.

Most of what you can't see is how I rebuilt it, but you can tell that the sun shade on the top has been removed and most of the back's been removed, then I added support with fabric, velcro, and boning to make it more comfortable for the two of them...

Remember folks, its not just a stroller. Its a driving machine, an arm-saver, a grocery cart, a kid bed, a sun protector, a force to be reckoned with!!!! :lmao:

Ok, I go to this board everyday, but its been so long that I posted that I had forgotten my password. Anyway I re-registered because of this thread. I found it totaly hillarious and it really made me smile on a day that all I wanted to do was put my head down. You guys are awesome.

.....never mind THAT.....I'm interested in the 'garage casualty' story.....popcorn:: [ ;) ]

It's not nearly as interesting as you'd think.

Our "old" single umbrella stroller had been propped up against one of the garage walls. While I was at work one day, it fell over into my parking spot. When I came home that night, I didn't notice it laying there and as I pulled it, I ran over it.....pretty much destroying it.

That was what prompted me to put up a ton of hanging hooks (big cup hooks) around the garage so we could hang stuff up, out of the way, rather than have it scattered around the periphery where it could fall into the parking spaces.

:)

...now tell us the REAL story.....;)

So, um, in other words, my husband is not allowed IN the stroller? Has anyone tried it and do you have any suggestions? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

Depends on the stroller ;)

I've seen pics of a grown man in a MBUD (Mountain Buggy Urban Double)

I've been here years and the stroller discussion hasn't changed.

And I still don't get who would by a stroller without trying it on the internet because someone else said it was good. Last time I did that I got a Dyson vaccuum cleaner I hated and gave away. Lesson: just because everyone else on the internet LOVES the stroller/vaccuum/dog breed/restaurant/resort/Orlando Bloom does not mean I will.

Ummm...Ok.

Add:

"It was a dark and stormy night...." to the beginning.

Insert "I had worked VERY late that night doing some technical stuff that would bore you all to tears...and had me bleary eyed (and yes, kimmar....it WAS from work, and not imbibing Victoria Mists)" sorta early in the telling.

And Append a quick anecdote "I had noticed that 2 of the 3 light bulbs in the garage had burnt out when I left that morning....and vowed I'd need to replace them within the next couple of days. Just one more thing going on my "honey do" list, I guess".

Suffix the whole thing with "I was actually relieved when i saw it was the "old" single (ugly green) stroller and not something like our spreader, the double stroller, our snowblower, lawnmower...or anything that had cost more than $15 at Walmart. Still, the next day I changed the lightbulbs (with those energy efficient, long lasting jobbies) and that weekend I hung hooks all over the available wall space so I could get anything possible up off the floor so I wouldn't run over it. Alas...the snowblower and lawnmower still sit in the corner, but at least they're far enough away that I can't hit 'em."

And that's the REAL story. :cool1: :thumbsup2

save your breath and just ignore them if they bother you that much.

It was a joke, if you didn't think it was funny than save your breath and pass over the thread like this one. No need to respond if you don't agree or find it offensive, no one is requiring you to read the post, the OP wasn't hostile she was hilarious. Too bad you didn't get it, a good laugh does a body good.

Thank you for the pic!!

(sorry you had to go through so many to find it)... I can *finally* sleep tonight! :rotfl:

Seriously, cool job of 'making' yourself a stroller! Great idea!!
