Can I schedule for June 3-9th? I have never participated in a swap before and not sure how to schedule. Please let me know the right way to do this please

You're on the list . Please advise where you'll be staying so the person before you can drop off the stroller at your resort. Only other thing to do is follow the posted guidelines.

Stroller Swap Guidelines:
*) current stroller keeper must take stroller to next person's resort and put it in storage
*) current stroller keeper must tag the stroller with the name and resort and check in date of the incoming stroller requester (i.e., Minnie Mouse, All Stars Movies, check in 4/29/2008)
*) current stroller keeper must get a receipt for the storage of the stroller and provide the receipt info to the incoming stroller requester
*) current stroller keeper should post back to this thread when they've released the stroller and advise on the condition of the stroller (if there's a problem)

I'm also compiling the list of requests in one place until sl_underwood returns and posts this schedule back to post #1. I am acting as her agent while she's gone and am adding dreamn_Disney & Suzanna1973 to the confirmed list below:

Could I pretty please add the 30th and 31st of August on to my stay?

We are awaiting the free dining dates and I may be adjusting my dates by a couple of days. I would hate to not have a stroller for the last couple days now that the price of rentals has gone up. I will know the exact dates next week, but just want to add those 2 days on to be safe.

Been looking for this thread.

I have a gently used single umbrella style stroller (it does not have the shade top), but it is green with Pooh on it and in GREAT shape. It rolls great, it carries great (very lightweight), and it holds up to 40 lbs, no problem.

I will be more than happy to put it on the plane with me and bring it and give it. Just promise to give it to someone else.

I will be at POR on April 20th-25th.

I don't mind babysitting another stroller as well during that timeframe and I can drop them off at another resort, since I will be at the Contemporary for the Wishes and I will probably visit the Poly or something else.

our primary stroller will be cared for during your stay; re the offer for additional strollers, I'm unable to confirm or decline those requests so I'm waiting until sl_underwood returns to see what she wants to do about that. (Personally, it's a lot of work just keeping up with management of ONE stroller; not sure how one person could manage more than one and keep them straight but that's for sl_underwood to decide.)

Okay folks,

I have an umbrella stroller that I am bringing with me to the parks on the plane. It is clean, in great shape, and FREE, so long as you babysit or store it for the next person. We already have a taker on this:

graceandemmasmom-POP, July 16th-24th (i am rechecking those dates)

I will be bringing it with me and storing it at POR beginning APR 20th. If anyone wants to use it, or babysit it, then please let's do this here so we can arrange dates. If not, it will be left onsite at POP with her name on it and she will do the same for anyone else.

This is the other forum, under Theme Park Strategies, for people who need the other stroller and someone might be using at the time. That way, there's no lapovers, and it is totally separate. It is title-Stroller Swap? Stroller Give?

You guys might want to consider buying a new stroller maybe the sit and stand version I think the Joovy is 150.00 this would be good for anyone wanting a single or a double on Babies r us then the first 10 people put in 15.00 and do the swaps at a park so easier for everyone to do instead of trying to use the disney transportation to get to hotels. Just a thought do not want to offend anyone .

Also, maybe since I am a marketing major, we could get a donation of single and double strollers from a stroller place online-Graco or Kraftco.

Would anyone be game to sign a requesst online for this and see if we can get maybe 10 for use in parks only? It is advertisement for free and most of these places would love it-we could spray paint them with a symbol so anyone caught at the a/p taking one- We could call the stroller police!!!!

Maybe you all will have a suggestion for me. I think it's a great thing you're doing with this stroller swap/give, but I don't think it would work for me.

I'm divorced, so it'll just be me, pushing my two kids (DD5 and autistic DS4) They're sort of big for their age. Still within "normal limits" but they aren't tiny or anything.. So it's hard to push my huge Graco Duo Glider.

Also, we'll be staying at All Star Music (we're traveling with another couple and their two kids, so I won't have anyone to help me push. I think they're taking two strollers too.) so we'll have to take the bus, and we all know how it is to keep track of kids in those crowded buses, without the hassle of a gigantic heavy stroller. I just don't think I'll be able to manage all that by myself.

Now I have to worry about saving an extra $162 for the double stroller rental for the six days we're there. I've already sent an email to guest services.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions anyone may have, but I have a feeling I'll just have to resign myself to saving up the money for the rental. Sigh.

Who's going to manage that thread? Just subbing for sl_Underwood, I can tell you it's a lot of daily work... especially now that Disney raised the prices. Any takers on manging that thread if waynesgirl doesn't want to?

thanks for the idea; I'll pass it along to sl_underwood; however, the scope of this thread is one primary focus - maximizing the use of the free stroller that was donated by jen eeyore. Re swapping at parks, that's not a bad idea either; however, be just my luck I'd be at DAK and the other guy's at MK or HS or Epcot so that can be just as much of a logistical problem. And, there's always the problem when there is no swap buddy in between swappers; the stroller must be stored somewhere so a resort storage is the most logical and economical place for it.
