Also, maybe since I am a marketing major, we could get a donation of single and double strollers from a stroller place online-Graco or Kraftco.

Would anyone be game to sign a request online for this and see if we can get maybe 10 for use in parks only? It is advertisement for free and most of these places would love it-we could spray paint them with a symbol so anyone caught at the a/p taking one- We could call the stroller police!!!!

I'm not sure Disney would appreciate that too much. However, you could always start a new thread and pose that question. I'm gonna step out a little and say that this thread's sole purpose is to maximize the use of the free stroller provided by jen eeyore. (SL_underwood, please correct me if I've "misspoken" here. )

I will be staying at POP with my daughter from april 23-28. Is the swap available for those dates still? If so, I would love to use the stroller and pass it on to the next when I'm done. Let me know Thanks!

Stroller Swap Guidelines:
*) current stroller keeper must take stroller to next person's resort and put it in storage
*) current stroller keeper must tag the stroller with the name and resort and check in date of the incoming stroller requester (i.e., Minnie Mouse, All Stars Movies, check in 4/29/2008)
*) current stroller keeper must get a receipt for the storage of the stroller and provide the receipt info to the incoming stroller requester
*) current stroller keeper should post back to this thread when they've released the stroller and advise on the condition of the stroller (if there's a problem)
*) all stroller requestors will review the schedule to ensure their information is accurate and complete

I'm also compiling the list of requests in one place until sl_underwood returns and posts this schedule back to post #1. I am acting as her agent while she's gone; here's the latest updated info to the confirmed list below:

I'm divorced, so it'll just be me, pushing my two kids (DD5 and autistic DS4) They're sort of big for their age. Still within "normal limits" but they aren't tiny or anything.. So it's hard to push my huge Graco Duo Glider. ...

I really think your question is worthy of it's own thread - perhaps on the family and budget boards - to get the most amount of ideas possible. In the meantime, I sent you a PM with my ideas so as not to hijack this thread going forward.

Ok, I read the PM and I'll reply to that too, but I'd like to just say in this forum as well, but yes, I'd absolutely need a double stroller. I'd NEVER get away with a single. My children will NOT take turns. It just won't work.

My son is autistic, my daughter is healthy. My son would walk next to the stroller if AND ONLY IF he's holding my hand. Otherwise, he'd run off. And I won't be able to push my 56 pound DD5 with one hand, while the other hand holds my son. No way.

My DD5 would walk next to the stroller and stay with me, but she'd whine and complain the whole time about how she wants to be in the stroller.

We're from Wisconsin, and we've had a looooooooong winter. We've not even reached 50 degrees for more than a handful of days yet this spring. May in Florida is going to be especially HOT for us, and I think she won't be able to last long anyway. I just wouldn't be able to deal with the whining.

So I'd need to have a double.

BUT I'm also concerned about having to take the bus everywhere. I can deal with that fine, but having the two kids to load onto the bus will be hard enough. I can't imagine hauling a double stroller in addition.

So I think I may be stuck renting no matter what. Thanks for the thought though.

Who's going to manage that thread? Just subbing for sl_Underwood, I can tell you it's a lot of daily work... especially now that Disney raised the prices. Any takers on manging that thread if waynesgirl doesn't want to?

I think it's a great idea but we need a thread owner.

I can manage it on a daily basis! I am a GM but I am always free to manage at night!!!!

Can I join in on this?? I will be in Disney from Sept 12-21 and I'm sure my daughter won't make everyday walking (she'll be 5 then). We are staying at POP (unless things change with us adding free dining).

What is the weight limit on the stroller, my DD5 weighs about 44 lbs, and we got a lightweight stroller on Ebay that supposedly could handle 45 lbs and under, it wouldn't even turn So I am definately interested in the swap if possible. We are staying at AKV on May3-10, I didn't see anyone else using it during that time- but we won't have a car. Sorry so many questions!!

I am so sorry guys- I can't believe they BROKE THE STROLLER in the luggage area! It was totally in tact with all its parts when we left it there on 3/22 - I had pics of it that morning and we wheeled it around to make sure it worked. Ugh!! I hope someone can donate another at some point. Sorry guys I did try!!!

Just wanted to pass along info on a stroller I just bought. My kids are bigger and I wanted a stroller for the park and I was not paying a fortune for one. I just wanted something with a basket under it and with handles high enough. 99% of the umbrella strollers are too short. so I got this one for $19.99 at Kmart
