Hello to everyone,

My family will be going to Disney World February 5-12. I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. I believe it would be easier to just rent a stroller at each park. Does anyone know the prices? Can I pay one price at a discount for the whole week. What kind of strollers are they? Can both of my kids sit side by side in the stroller?

Thanks!

One thing someone pointed out to me about renting the strollers, remember with that age they are going to be so tired at the end of the day and you still have to get from Disney transportation to your room....kind of handy to have your own stroller. Otherwise I believe a double stroller rents for $16??? Dont' quote me on that price. I do know you need lots of padding for your little one and even the 4 yo if there are going to be naps because the WDW stroller are hard!

It was me... My son fell asleep and it was very difficult to carry him back to the resort. Even if you have to take him out to get on the bus, at least you aren't walking very far. As for travelling they do sell a decent umbrella type stroller (at least they did at the Contemporary) for 40 bucks (my wife said 40, it could have been more).

Renting a double is 18/day and I think 16/day for length of stay.
Renting a single is 10/day, not sure of the discount for length of stay.

They are hard plastic jogger types. Hard to fall asleep in. 2 kids in a double can start bothering eachother so we ended up buying one of the $40 strollers and renting a single for the older child (5y). It worked out great. The youngest (2) was able to fall asleep in the purchased stroller and they were kept separate, so no bothering, fighting each other.

If you are at a monorail resort it is even easier when you go to monorail parks since you don't ever have to remove the child from the stroller. Even my older son wanted to be in a stroller as we left the parks and headed to the monorail or bus. Next time I would bring them or even buy 2 of the ones they sell. At 40 bucks each that's still cheaper than renting for 7 days.

Hope this helped...

We did the length of stay and will do it again. Ours were 5 and barely 3 and they were big enough for them to ride comfortably in. We will definitely rent again. I suppose on our next trip the older one will be old enough to walk, but the younger one will need one and I'm not willing to fight the battle of making the older one walk if the younger one is riding.

One night as we were coming into a park for dinner a man offered us his double, as he was leaving. That was a nice surprise, so I always tried to find someone to give ours too as we were leaving.
