Stroller Rental Question

So, I tried to resist getting a stroller for my almost five year old, but I think it might be necessary. We are planning to rent, but since it has been at least 3 years since we used one on a regular basis, I wanted to know what is easier in the parks...the BOB or the City Mini GT. We used a BOB with both of our kids and while I loved it, it was cumbersome at times. I don't know how the city mini compares. The price is the same for both. Also, do we just leave the stroller in some sort of stroller parking outside rides/attractions?Thanks for any feedback!

I would go with the city mini - its easier to fold and the front wheel does not stick out as far. Yes there is stroller parking by attractions. I would not leave valuables in the stroller.

I rented a city mini GT for my 5 year old grandson in June & it was great. Easy to fold easy to carry & I am 52 yes old and I was able to handle it easily

GT will fold a bit flatter and be a bit lighter in weight. Just grab that handle in the seat and yank after undoing the safety latches on the sides. I love the Baby Jogger City Mini series. Our first trip I rented one. My son was 10 months. I could wear him and carry that stroller on and off the bus no problem. I purchased one soon after that we used for everything the next 3 years.

You might want to bring a bright scarf or ribbon to tie to the handle. The company will put your name on the stroller; but unless something has changed (and it could have since we went) it will hang on the bar near the bottom. So when you come out of an attraction/show or restaurant you will have less trouble finding it among the others if you put something on it to identify it that will be visible when they are parked. Those are popular strollers so along with others who have rented, others own them and they are generally similar in color.

Definitely get a stroller. It's the key to a happy trip. We just rent the double one at the park. Easy for kids to hop in and hop out. And hold their stuff. Love it

We just returned from our trip this past Sunday. My DS and DDIL rented a stroller for the little ones, ages 1 and 4-1/2. Our 4-1/2 year old grandson definitely did need it, as his little legs just got really tired in the heat. They rented the City Mini double, and we loved it! We had rented the City Mini single a few years ago, and were really happy with that one too. They are super easy to open/close, and are pretty easy to maneuver on the buses. Have a great trip!!

The Citi Mini is an absolutely perfect park stroller IMO. We bought a double for our twins before our first Disney trip and then rented singles and ended up buying a used one just for Disney trips as well. It has an easy 1 step fold, is super easy to maneuver, lays flat for naps, has an extra large canopy for shade, and has plenty of storage.
