I need suggestions on a lightweight stroller for a 6 year old. I have looked at the strollers sold at the resorts on another thread, but I'm not sure if they'll hold her. We will also have an 18 month old, so we're looking at buying two strollers, so I'm not sure I can afford really expensive ones.

I found an awesome deal on Chicco's "Urban" on Walmart.com (of all places!). I ordered it site to store, it was $68.88. Picked it up last night - great stroller, light, easy to push and holds up to 55 pounds. Cool tri-fold feature and a convenient carry strap sealed the deal. My 32 pound 2 year old rode in it today and loved it.

I had my 45 pound 5 year old sit in it for a spin, and it held him fine. I actually just ordered a second to bring to Disney for him - the plan was to rent if we needed to, but with the price increase, it's cheaper for me to buy him his own.

Does this one recline? I was looking at the Maclaren Volvo, but I think it doen't recline.

I love my Cosatto Swift Lite and it reclines all the way for my 2 month old, but its feather lite and like the popular Maclarens! Walmart site to store is how I ordered this one too! It was $100!

I did lots of research on these boards on strollers that would hold a 50# 5 year old and only found:
1) Maclaren (I bought a Mac Volo used from eBay for $35 + $20 shipping; they're also on eBay new for ~$75+shipping) - holds 55#, weighs 8.6#, folds up and has a carry strap
2) Joovy
3) Chicco's

maybe others have found other strollers that hold 50+# too but I quit looking when I found the Mac for a decent price. (Note the Mac Volo does NOT recline.)

I am ordering the baby trend double jogger with the swivel wheel. Its $189 at TRU( but there is a $20 off coupon on the flyer). My kids with be 5 and 19 months. My back would not survive Disney without a stroller of some sort for her. She loves to walk but when she is tired or hot she will want to relax and that is fine with me because then I wont have to carry her.

Try the Mac Triumph. I looked at it last night and compared it with others. It reclines nicely, weight limit 55 lbs., and is very light weight. We own an older model Mac and like it very much. Follwing the recommendation of some on this board I had gone and looked at the Combi and the PP Aria, which I do like both but the Mac is sturdier than the Combi and smaller/lighter than the Aria. Check out www.albeebaby.com I think they have some of the best stroller prices around...and www.walmart.com too.

For a week, for Disney, all I use is a $15 Walmart umbrella stroller. Yup, DD's about 15 lbs over the weight limit. Yes, her head just about hits the cover. Yup, her legs are too long. But in 7 trips over 2 years it hasn't given out on me yet and she keeps on riding in it.

DD's a huge 5 1/2 year old - 46 inches, 58 lbs or so.
