Going to Disney in just over a month.. YEAH.. We are taking a 3-1/2 year old (grandson) with us. He is quite tall for his age..at just over 40".. We are weighing the pros and cons of taking a stroller on the plane, renting one at Disney, or renting from an independent company.
We tried him in the smaller stroller and the umbrella stroller we have at home and he doesn't fit in them.(too tall ) We do have a bigger one, but didn't really want to lug it on the plane.. The strollers at Disney look alot larger and a good, but an expensive option. The strollers rented from an outside company, like Orlando Stroller Rentals seem to be well made and a reasonable price. but it doesn't state how tall a child needs to be to fit into it comfortably. He is a good walker but does get tired now and then..
Any advice, comments or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Have a magical day..
Hugs

A City Mini from one of the offsite places would fit him just fine.

ETA: If you look on Kingdom Strollers' website (they're another offsite company) you'll find the height recommendations for each stroller they offer. It's 44 inches for the City Mini. Kingdom Strollers tends to be less expensive than Orlando Stroller Rentals. We've rented from both places, but now choose Kingdom Strollers due to price alone. They both have exceptional customer service and clean strollers.

Also, if the 3 year old doesn't use the stroller much at home I wouldn't recommend lugging one through the airport. We just make that mistake on a trip last weekend. The 3 year old didn't sit in it one time!

At that age he will need one not only at the park, but most likely to manipulate the large resort, especially returning to the room at night. I would rent off site. They have lots of different strollers and I am sure one will fit him. Have a blast....such a fun age.

You might want to take the stroller with you so you can use it at the airport. If you gate check it you can use it to and from the gate.

I agree with off site rental of a City Mini. My son is almost 3 and 39ish inches and he fits in ours fine. For him, he hasn't used a stroller more than a handful of times in over a year, so we wouldn't have a need for one in the airport (other than maybe to contain him!).

We have a city mini double (which is what most Orlando rental places rent) and our 3year old is 43 inches and he's still super comfortable in it!
