Does anyone know if there is a weight limit on the strollers you rent at the park? Our 4 year old is to big for the strollers from home(40 lb weight limit). He's about 44 lbs. and 45 inches, but he's still only 4 and I know he won't be able to walk all day, even towards the end of the day our 9 year old is exausted. Would it make a difference to get a double so he could stretch out. Thanks for any suggestions!

The Disney strollers are very sturdy and people put children as old as 8 or 9 in them!

A double would be good for an older child; they are twice as much money as a single stroller and that could really add up!

I was curious about this myself, so I did a search and couldn't find anything about weight limits. :( But, I did find this which has some helpful info. about strollers.

I know when we were there last year, we saw some pretty BIG kids in those strollers. As in 10 yr olds. Many times we also saw 3 elementary-age kids sitting in one double rental stroller. There's GOT to be a weight limit on those things for safety reasons, right? Maybe someone else knows!?

But, your 4 yr old is certainly small enough to use the rental strollers. We will absolutely be renting double strollers next March when our boys are 5.5 and 3.5! (We'll have a single stroller for our 1 yr old.)

I agree that they have Uber-strollers at Disney. My Stepsister rented a double and for a while, we were pushing her 5 year old, my 5 year old, and my 2 year old at the same time! They add up to over 110 pounds! Plus both the older girls are 48". If you got a double, I would imagine both your kids would fit even if the 9 year old was a little squished.

My then 80 lb nephew was able to fit into the Parks strollers. (He kept hijacking it from our then 30lb 3 year old).We went in Jan 03 when DD was 3.5 and rented everyday from the stoller. Why spend all the money for the trip to only have the child get exhaused before noon.
We always rent the double. (Don't be surprised if the 9 year old rides along). We really used the extra space for our drinks, snacks, jackets etc.
