 Hi Beth,
I'm checking in on you. A good night's sleep can do a great deal to lift our spirits when we are feeling down. I'm glad you're feeling better. Hope that hip is healing as well.

Beth,
Hello my friend! Thank you so very much for your prayers, support, and encouragement. You are such a kind and caring person. Thank you, Beth.

Sorry I am late about this, but CONGRATULATIONS on your April goals! :jumping1: Those are some pretty awesome numbers Beth. Way to go!

I am sorry about how you are feeling in regards to your weight loss. Beth, you have been through quite a bit this year. Through it all, you have maintained your focus and you have kept striving for your goals. And just think... with all that your body has been going through, you are still well on your way to a 50 lb. clippie. That is amazing determination Beth!

Please know that we are here for you during struggles and celebrations. You CAN do this Beth! We're behind you 100%!

Take good care of you and thanks again for being there,
Tracy

Beth: thanks so much for your kind words in my journal. It sounds like you had quite a weekend. I'm so proud of you for making wise choices and not letting the challenges in life get you down. Your daughter has quite a role model to look up to.

My sis, the nurse, had always had to work the overnights too. Your schedules are just like having to fight jetlag - only worse because you never get to catch up on real rest. She finally got a day shift after nearly 20 years of being a nurse.

I really admire what you do and how you balance that with being a great wife and mother. Caregivers have a real hard time looking after themselves. You've been making the time for regular exercise and eating healthy...you've been seeing results...you are going to reach your goals.

Sending more spring your way,
Laurie:sunny:

Sorry I haven't gotten to journals lately. It's been crazy, but I think it is slowing down. I went to the Y. I did 3.5 miles on the treaddie. Everyting went well, until we got home. Katie grabbed my neck as she got out of the blazer. I've pulled a muscle in my neck/upper back. I can't shake my head. I've taken some motrin, and it is starting to feel better. We then went out to lunch, and shopping. Preseants for my DM, crazy grandma, my godchild for her 1st communion. My mom is actually coming over for dinner tonight, so we're celebrating Mother's day tonight.
1.) Meds taken 6/6.
2.) Water 2.5l so far. 5/6
3.) Exercise 6/6.
4.) Food- seee below5/6.
5.) Family 6/6.
Breakfast was a MS bar. I wasn't planning on eating any of these this month, but I went to the Y early and didn't think I should exercise after eating a huge breakfast.
Lunch was water and chicken salad.
Dinner will be steak, green beans and salad.

I hope everyone has a great day.
Beth

Wow Beth!
You have been so busy lately! I hope that you have time to relax this weekend. I hope that your neck feels better soon too.::yes::

You are doing a great job getting your exercise in! It seems like the Y is working out very well for you. Plus, you are doing a great job with your food choices too.

Have a great evening Beth!

Tracy

P.S. Sent you a PM...

Beth,

You have been doing great exercising. All the extra activities are burning up calories as well. Good for you. Hope that neck feels better soon. Stay on the motrin and ice on and off for 20 minute intervals. Ice isn't comforting but works. Have a good night.:D

Everything went as planned. I watched the end of friends. I like the way they left it. They could have gone for a total tearfest, but I think they stayed true to the show. I'm headed to bed.
Recap...
1) Meds 5/5
2) Water 4l 5/5
3) Exercise 5/5
4) Food 5/5
5) Family 5/5

I'm gearing up for another shift. I'm only working Friday 16hrs. Saturday is my goddtrs 1st communion. Sunday is mother's day at crazy grandma's.

I'll try to get to journals in the morning.

Have a good one,
Beth

Hey Beth!

You really are doing a good job! I know that exercising as you do, you feel even better. Sometimes, I wake up with a stiff neck. As the day progresses, the pain gets worse. The pain and stiffness sometimes lasts 3 or 4 days. I can only imagine what you are going through with a pulled muscle! I hope that gets better real soon!:sunny:

How was your dinner this evening?

I hope you have a good day tomorrow!

Carol

:hyper: Wow, Beth, you have a busy weekend planned! :hyper: I hope you find some time just for yourself in there. How's your neck feeling? You're doing such a terrific job with your walking--you're inspiring me to stay with my training program. ::yes::

What did Katie's dance teacher say about her hair???:p

Have a good weekend, friend.
Erin

I just lost my post trying to get a smilie to work. GRR. Now it will be short and without smilies.

I weighed in today. 219.5. I broke the 220's and am 1 pound away from that elusive clippie. I hope to get there next week.

I'm not looking forward to work. Quite frankly, I'm exhausted. We had a thunderstorm last night, and Katie was fascinated. She spent 45 minutes telling me that lightning is electricity like in batteries that comes down from clouds. Thunder is air clapping. She even knows how to count lightening to thunder. Thank you magic schoolbus, but not at 1 AM.

My neck is a bit better. About 50% I am going to the Y. I'll do lower body weights and cardio for about 30 minutes. Then Katie and I are going swimming. I hope to wear her out, so she'll nap.

Erin, Miss Roberta actually liked her hair. I just need to slick it back for the recital.

I am thinking of all of you. I hope to get to journals sometime this week.
Beth

Hooray- 219!!!!!!
I am glad your neck is improving- I hope you are 100% soon.
It is a blessing to have bright, curious children but UUUGGHH at 1:00am it may not feel like it.
Have a great weekend!
Mary

LOL at your daughter last night! That is pretty entertaining, of course I'm sure you were less then amused. LOL! Sorry - I'll try to stop laughing.

Welcome to 219 my friend! Only 19 more pounds and you will be in Onderland! How great for you!

~Amanda

Beth, congratulations on getting to 219!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Those Y workouts are working!! :sunny:

I'm sending healing :wizard: for your neck and extra-energy :wizard: for your shift tonight!

Gentle

I'm in my boss's office. I've hijacked her computer again. I'll make this quick. I went to the Y, and talked with a trainer. I only needed to skip 3 of my 11 machines. Then I did some time on the treaddie. I took Katie swimming, and hit the hot tub for 10 minutes. My neck feels much better. I also managed an hour's nap.
Meals....
Breakfast-MS bar and tea
Lunch- ham/cheese rollups and salad.
Snack-Breve latte
Dinner (1AM) quiche and salad
Breakfast (7AM) Eggs and bacon.

I have celery and cheese for snacks.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, especially those getting together for the walk. I'll keep my fingers crossed for good weather.
Beth

Beth:

I so glad that your neck is starting to feel better. You are so good for going through your workout with the stiffness and discomfort.

Your daughter sounds so bright - the lightning moment will be one you can amuse her highschool friends with later in life...much to her embarrassment to be sure LOL. How cool that she's curious instead of fearful.

Have a better weekend at work than last. Looks like you have a great plan for getting that new clippie soon. Congrats on leaving the 220's behind...once and for all!

-Laurie:tongue:
