Yee haa, congratulations on that 1.5 lb loss! I hope your day tomorrow isn't too hectic. Take care Beth!:D

I had great intentions, but didn't follow through. I didn't do the 2nd tape yesterday. I also didn't go to Curves. I did eat on program and drink 3 liters. I'm currently a mess. I'm going to bed before I start hallucinationg from sleep deprivation. I should manage 7 hours.

Have a good one.

Good morning Beth (or should I say good night?:scratchin )

Thats okay that you didn't get to everything. Your schedule is crazy enough this weekend. Take it easy and listen to your body :listen: ! Eating OP and getting the water in is very good and important. Good for you!
Rest well Beth!

Congratulations on the 1.5 pounds! :Pinkbounc That is wonderful! I know how busy you will be this weekend and hope that you are able to get some rest and relaxation at some point. Have a great day!

Beth congratulations on the weightloss! You are doing excellent. And good job on taking care of you yesterday and going to bed and getting extra sleep. We all need to do that every now and then.

What do I remember about yesterday? Not much. I didn't go to Curves. Friday night I stopped at Starbucks and got a Venti latte. I was so exhausted. DD isn't napping anymore. So I had been up at 645AM. I thought some caffiene was in order. I'm not used to espresso anymore. I drank my latte, and promptly went into a SVT. My heartrate was in the 140's for about 5 hours. I felt horrible, and just couldn't function by the time I was headed home. Definately need to sleep more than exercise. I've learned my lesson. I can't handle espresso. Feel free to give me the boot in the behind if I have anymore.

I had planned to sleep 7.5 hours, but work called me. They were desperate for someone at 4PM. So I got up after 5.5 hours and worked form 4P to 4M, instead of 7-7. It was crazy, but it is done. I got home and wasn't sleepy. I did the 2 mile WATP tape, took a nice bath and read for a hour. Made breakfast and took DD to 8AM mass. I've caughtup on a few journals. I'll try to get to the rest later.

I'm in a quandry about Lent. I usually give up ice cream or chocolate. Now, those are the only things that keep me on program some days. I might decide to read a passage from the bible daily. Maybe exercise EVERY day. I don't know. The whole thing about no meat on Friday will be hard as well. No meat+ Atkins will be a nightmare. I'm just not sure what to do. I guess I'll be eating alot of eggs. I'll have to go through my cookbooks.

I'm off to bed. My girlfriend is having a product party tonight. I'll have to bring some OP snacks. I'll try to get to journals, but I might just collapse in bed. We'll see. Just know that you're all in my thoughts.:goodvibes headed your way.

Enjoy your Sunday.

Get some sleep, Beth; you need a major break! I don't know how you handle that schedule of yours. You are Super Woman, I'm telling you.

Sorry about your espresso nightmare--you must've been feeling awful. Has this ever happened before? My new favorite at Starbucks is a Tall Decaf:p Nonfat Sugar-free Vanilla Latte. Does it sound like something you'd like? Maybe you could have one AFTER work as little nightcap before you go home and rest.

Today in church we got a little flyer with suggestions for things we could do during Lent. I'll see if I can find it and send some ideas your way. Look for a pm if I find it.

Take care, Beth, and have some sweet dreams--
Erin

Beth - glad to see you listened to your body and got the rest you needed. I think when you schedule is that crazy, exercise can be overlooked for a day or two.
I am in a quandry for Lent as well. Since Choc and ice cream aren't really OP for me, it doesn't seem like much of a Lenten sacrafice to give up. I had already decided I didn't want my sacrafice to be related to food this year. But I haven't figured out what my sacrafice will be. I have to come up with something soon! And boy, Fridays in lent are hard enough in my house - DD doesn't eat cheese or eggs due to allergies. I couldn't imagine taking bread out too! How about fish, baked or broiled?
Have a nice time tonight. Enjoy the companionship of your friends. Great idea to bring your own snacks!::yes::

Lordy Beth, you'd better take very good care of Beth. You are sooo busy all the time. Remember to take time to stop and smell the roses...and there are no calories in roses.:wave2:

Erin, I knew we had a lot in common. I just get the whole milk option to decrease the carbs. I love the sf vanilla lattes. I just had a venti instead of a tall, and I couldn't handle the extra caffiene and carbs as well. It had never happened before, and I was surprised. Before I started this journey, I routinely slammed venti caramel macchiatos without a porblem. Live and Learn.

I'm feeling much better today, but a bit sluggish. Okay, Okay,I'm still in my pj's. DD slept in for once, and I'm going to enjoy my Monday. I've taken my meds/vitamins and had a liter of water. Breakfast was a Morning start bar and cup of green tea. I have nothing else planned yet. I'll head to Curves after I drop DD off at preschool. Other than that, I'm playing it by ear.

Last night was fun. I was going to this party out of obligation, but the products impressed me. I actuall agreed to host one of the parties. I slept late, so didn't prepare any snacks. I ate some cheese and water while there. I had some eggs and toast when I got home. I ate way too late, but I was hungry. Oh well.

Have a great Monday everyone.
Beth

Beth, take it easy today, OK? Make sure you give your body time to recover from your hectic weekend. Most of us work all week and then recover on the weekends. You work at home (yes, taking care of the kids & house is serious WORK!) all week and then work at the hospital all weekend. Girlfriend, find some down time and recover, OK? I'm definitely in Mom-mode this morning, Beth! ;)

Hope you have a bright, sunny and restful Monday! :sunny:

Just to update, I have taken a long hot shower. Heck, I;m even dressed. I even put on some makeup. Thanks guys, I'll take it easy today. I've been doing this schedule for 3 years. It's hard to remember that most people think it is insane. This was the only option available to us because I wanted to stay at home with Katie.

Oh I meant to say that at the party last night, I got a lot of compliments. Most of the people there hadn't seen me since Christmas. They were pretty impressed by the weight loss. It did my ego good.

Hi Beth!

It seems like you are doing good this morning. I'm glad to hear it. I wish I could have stayed home with my son when he was younger. You are fortunate even if you do have to keep up a crazy schedule to make it happen. Congrats on the weight loss! It does feel good when people notice that we have been working hard. Keep up the good work!

Good morning Beth!
Sounds like you had a long weekend. I hope that you are able to relax and enjoy the day today. ::yes::

How wonderful that you got compliments at the party yesterday!!It is always great to get positive feedback!!! You should be proud of yourself!!:Pinkbounc

Hope you have a wonderful day today!:sunny:

hey beth, i'm so glad dd slept in a bit for you this morning so you could take some time out for yourself. you definitely need it, especially after the weekends you have!

that party sounds like it was fun! how wonderful that other people are taking notice and complimenting you. what a great feeling :goodvibes

i hope that the rest of your day was good and relaxing for you. you surely deserve it! :sunny:

I just have to relate s funny story. DH came home for lunch. He did this mainly to break it to me that he invited friends over to dinner TONIGHT! They are thinking of doing the low carb thing. Could I whip up a gourmet meal spur of the moment. Well, yeah I can, but the house is a disaster. He mentioned, Hey, you've lost your butt." I'm rolled my eyes, please keep in mind that I'm chopping cucumbers for salad. He came up and pantsed me! I was wearing the jeans that I bought tight in January. I also cut my finger. I'm standing there with my jeans around my ankles bleeding from my index finger and just staring at DH. He and Katie aare cracking up until Katie sees I'm bleeding. I then fell as I was trying to get to the sink, because I didn't want to get my jeans bloody. Unbelievable.

Dinner tonight will be salad, parmesan stuffed chicken over spaghetti squash with marinara sauce. Dessert will be Breyers lc ice cream with a chocolate sauce reciope I found. Strawberries with whipped cream. The house is now presentable and I still did 3 circuits at Curves. There is a reason my friends call me the local Martha Stewart-minus the insider trading.
:cool1:
Beth

Beth, what a mental picture of you in the kitchen, cutting cucumbers, jeans around your ankles, finger bleeding, DH & DD laughing....oh my!!!

You are super woman!! Getting the house all ready for an unscheduled dinner party and coming up with a delicious menu (wish I lived closer! ::yes:: ) at a moment's notice! WOW!! I hope all goes well with your guests this evening. I think you should wear a pair of tighter fitting pants, though - don't want DH to do a repeat of this afternoon!! :teeth:

Have a wonderful evening, Beth! DH must really be proud of you and the new way you're eating, if he's inviting friends over to sample your cooking! :sunny:

Beth,

That was a great story and your dinner sounded soooo much better than mine! Would love that recipe for the parm. stuffed chicken and for the chocolate sauce! YUM!

Have a great night,

Elizabeth:sunny:
