Beth: I'm doing my best to stay away from the scale. You are building a lot of muscle with your curves workout. Muscle weighs more than fat and combined with BC and water weight it will make you crazy at the scale. How are your clothes fitting? If it is anything like your engagement ring - probably looser. I will probably get back on the scale before we leave for California on the 26th and get back on after we return. But I think my DH is right - frustration with the numbers not going down is not positive for being healthy.

Although I do WW, you and I have a lot in common. I weigh in on Wed. My reasoning is 1) its a few days after the weekend, when I tend to indulge a little more and 2) there are still a few days before the weekend where a good weigh-in will keep me OP and a bad weigh-in will leave me time to behave before the weekend!;) As you can probably tell, weekends are when I have a hard time staying OP!:rolleyes:
My engagement ring and wedding ring have not fit me in over 6 yrs. Even the last time I lost weight, I still couldn't get them on. I keep saying I'm going to get them resized, someday......
And I definitely put on 10 -15lbs with the Pill. I have finally decided to go for the surgery. It is a quick out patient thing with only 2 very small incisions. Then I don't have to worry about remembering it every morning. I have my yearly checkup coming up in about 2 weeks and I will set the surgery up then.
I think I'll hit the *evil* stepper while watching American Idol tonight. We're big fans of that show too!::yes:: I'll think about you while I sweat it out.
Keep up your good work. Your food choices look good as far as I can see. The exercise will pay off no matter what. And great job with getting the water in too!:teeth:

Just an update for the day.

I ended up needing a snack. A cup of coffee and 1/2 of a container of yogurt. I was really craving this. I took 4 bites, and decided it just wasn't what I wanted.

Dinner was a small salad and Lisa's pizza concoction. It was really filling and yummy.

I did my WATP tape this afternoon. Water was 4 liters. :bounce:
I'm watching American Idol then going up to bed. I may read for a while. We'll see

beth, i'm glad that you've set a goal to just maintain while on the pill. i think you would drive yourself crazy trying to lose at the same time.

and good job getting the watp in and still being able to watch american idol without tivo-*** it. then to bed early is always nice :). hope you are feeling refreshed and rested for a change. oh, and did you end up weighing in this morning? if so, let us know how it went :hyper:

The best laid plans....I didn't go to bed after AI. I read in bed until midnight. Stupid. I finished the book, and really enjoyed, but I'm paying for it today. I was so tiredthis morning I forgot to weigh myself. So my new day is Friday.

I have has 1 liter water, but my goal is 3 liters. I've taken my meds. Yuck. I'm feeling blaoted, so keep th water coming. It is girls night out tonite. My friend and I are meeting for dinner and then a movie. I can't wait. She's vegetarian, and I'm doing Atkins. Hmm we'll have a very confused waiter. I always feel like Sally from When Harry Met Sally. "Could I please have the salad, but I want the dresing on the side. I'd also like the chicken sandwich, but no bun.I'd also like all condiments on the side. Could I substitute steamed veggies for those fries." At least I'm a very good tipper.

Oh, today is a Curves day. I'm going to do at least 3 circuits.

Breakfast: Morning Start bar and green tea.
Lunch: Roasted chicken and small salad.
Dinner: ?, but the above dialogue makes a pretty good guess at what I'll eat.
I'm taking some roasted sunflower seeds to the movie. It takes me forever to eat them. It will keep me away from the popcorn. I know I'm allowed popcorn, but I would overdo it. Much better to skip it.

What a great plan for tonight. I really admire that you can recognize that you'd overdo it on the popcorn and opt right from the start to skip it. I'm not sure I could be that strong!:rolleyes:

Just a quick update. I went to Curves and did my 3 circuits. It was crowded, so I went jogging after. Now, I haven't jogged in 12 years. I managed 2 miles at a rate that wasn't embarrassing. I almost died, but finished it. I'm quite proud of myself. I have discovered that I need a much better sports bra if I wish to run. These DDD's have a mind of their own sometimes. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc If anyone knows a good brand let me know. I might post the question on the main board.

A night out was just what the doctor ordered. I had a great time. We went to Chili's. They have modified some of their menu items sor low carb dieter. No special orders needed. It was nice to talk with an adult female for a while. Then we saw Something's gotta give. Yes, I know it's been out for months, but we have small kids. We don't get out much. It was fabulous. We were laughing out loud. It was very therapuetic to laugh like that. I even had leftover carbs I could havew eaten. Came home and crashed.

haha, bouncy, bouncy :laughing: . sorry to make light of this serious issue :). i am the exact opposite, i couldn't fill an A cup if i tried :o . so i'm not sure about good supportive sports bras. i'd check on coolrunning.com on their message board, i think i've seen discussions about this (just never bothered to look seeing as i don't have a problem).

oh yeah, and congrats to you for going running :bounce: . good job, i'm very proud of you :teeth:
 
Just a quick update while dinner is cooking.

I've had 2.5 liters of water today. I need at least another 1 liter before bed. I was doing the 3 mile WATP tape when my right knee started bothering me. I did complete 2 of the miles befor I quit. I think jogging needs to wait until I at least hit Onederland. Oh well, it's not like I like running anyways. It always reminds me of running laps in High School. Not a good memory.

Breakfast was 1 slice lc toast with peanut butter and green tea.
Lunch was turkey and swiss rollups 3 strawberries and 12 raspberries. Diet Rite.

Snack: tall breve latte at Starbucks.

Dinner will be a salad, cheeseburger, and green beans.

I hope to be in bed by 9PM. Yeah, right.

I weigh in tomorrow. I'd be lying if I said it didn't matter what it says. BUT, I feel like I have had a great week. I'm on program with woe. I've done some exercise everyday. I feel more positive today.

Plan for tomorrow is the 2 mile WATP. I'll make another quiche to take with me to work. Work this weekend is a 16hr on Friday and 12 hrs on Saturday. I'm in charge both nights. At least I know about it in advance.:rolleyes: I will hit curves Saturday morning after work.

I hope everyone is well. I will try to hit journals over the next 3 days, but I'm not sure I'll be able to. I will be thinking of all of you.

Wow, you have a heavy schedule coming up. I'll be at work Saturday, 8 hours. Do try to get some rest, although I need to take my own advice. I don't know about you, but I find it hard to wind down in the evening and feel like I have to get on the computer, watch TV or do vacation planning. We need our rest though, otherwise we're no good the next day. I have to give you props for all the exercise, I don't know how you do it!

Beth, sounds like your week has gone very well. I am glad you are feeling upbeat too. Looks like you've got a tough weekend work schedule :( Good luck with that!
Keep up the exercise - thats going to make all the difference in the world during this weight loss journey. It will firm you up and make you healthier to boot!:smooth: Your doing a great job with it now, just keep going!:moped:

Your exercise, healthy eating, your positive attitude--it all is paying off in a huge way. If the scale cooperates today, all the better, but you know that you're treating yourself in the healthy way that you deserve. Good luck!

I weighed in at 230.5. That's 1.5 down this week. Respectable, and I'm happy with it. I've already done the 2 mile WATP and had a liter of water. I might do the 1 or 2 mile this afternoon. We'll see. Breakfast was a morning start bar and green tea. Laundry is in the washer. We're going to the education store today and out to lunch. I'm not sure how much I'll be at the computer today, but you will all be in my thoughts over the weekend.

Beth, here's a happy dance :cool1: for that 1.5 pounds GONE!! YAY!!!! I was going to use the 2 pink bounces but I'm afraid they will remind me of the need for a sports bra from now on!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
