Hi Beth,
Hope your shift goes well. Acuity always skyrockets over the holidays because only the sickest patients stay in house. And then afterwards, you get all the sick, vented respiratory patients. Been there, done that, 12 hour shifts in the unit. I feel for ya! :grouphug:
 
Just wanted to poke my head in here and see how you were doing Beth! Good for you for getting in that exercise in at the Y. Hope you were able to catch up on some zzzz's!

Hi All,

I have sucker written all over my face. I was scheduled for Friday-12 hours and 8 hours on Sunday night. We were desperate and I agreed to 12 hour shifts on Sat and Sun. Got off work at 8am sat, back at work 330pm. Off workat 4am. I had breakfast with the girls, then hit the Y. I managed to walk 7 miles starting at 6AM. :cool1: I definately wore my princess hat, and I also overdid it. Collapsed, then back at work at 730PM. Well my patient codes this am at 745am, so I didn't get out of there until 940. Came home to shower. There is no point in sleeping for 1 hour. I pick Katie up at noon. I've already called Won to say he provides dinner tonight. I will probably manage a 2 hour nap with Katie. I will crash early tonight.

I managed to stay completely OP this weekend, except for coffee. a venti cap on the way to each shift and on the way home this am.

I will get to as many journals as I can today. I will be catching up by tomorrow, I promise.

Gosh and I thought I had a hectic weekend! I am exhausted just reading about it Beth!! Make sure you get to bed nice and early tonight. And tell Won those dishes better be done tomorrow morning!! :jumping4:

Great job staying OP despite such craziness. That is when I usually fall apart. I admire you because that is when you typically kick it into high gear! WTG!!! :cheer2: And you walked the walk with our WISH buddies!!! :Pinkbounc WOOHOO! But you shouldn't have done so much! :faint:

Beth, 7 MILES???!!! WOW!! On one hand, I'm so proud of you! On the other hand, what were you thinking?? With all that work, you should have been resting! Oh well, I know how it is when you set a goal and want to accomplish it AND when you're supporting your friends. I could feel you with me during the half and I had my princess: hat on too. :hug:

Glad to hear you'll get a nap and that Won has been put on notice that he must provide dinner! ::yes:: Way to go!

Hi All,

There will hopefully be fewer typos in my posts today. :blush: I managed about 10 hours of sleep and I am at least lucid.

We received about another 4 inches of snow, so I will shovelling snow in addition to using the glider today at the Y. I will also be taking Katie to dance and grocery shopping. I also need to get the house back under control.

Yesterday's food:
B: Cap and MS bar.
L: 2 scrambled eggs.
S: Celery stuffed with cheese.
D: Mcdonald's double cheeseburger and salad.
No exercise. Tons of water.

Today's food:
B: crustless quiche and tea.
L: salad from Ol;ive Garden.
D: I have no idea yet. I'm thinking fish of some sort.

I'm off into the snow.

Wow Beth :earseek: You need to get your zzzzzzzzzzzzz's!!!! I hope you are caught up! I'm so glad to hear you are OP in the midst of the craziness :cheer2: We're supposed to get more snow tonight. Oh yeah! More abs, shoulders, back, arms workout :cool1:

We received about another 4 inches of snow, so I will shovelling snow in addition to using the glider today at the Y. I will also be taking Katie to dance and grocery shopping. I also need to get the house back under control.

Beth... Geez... I'm exhausted just from reading your post. I don't know how you do it. It's amazing that you work those hours, take care of Katie and still find time to workout. I will NEVER complain again that I'm too tired :earseek: Try and get some rest when you can

Well, another Wednesday. It is cold and rainy.

Yesterday went as planned, but my portions were larger than they needed to be. I did get a ton of things accomplished, but of course there is still more to do.

Plan for the day...
Take Katie to school. I'll head to the Y and do 45 minutes on the glider.
Clean the living room and kitchen.
Start working on laundry

Meal plan..
B: MS and green tea.
S: celery and cheese.
L: scrambled eggs and lc toast
S: coffee, enough said.
D: roasted chicken broccoli, salad

Ok, I'm outta here. Have a great one, and I'll be checking in later.
