Brrr... it was like an ice cube in there, wasn't it?? I remember those 50º temps when our furnace went out. I am glad it was a simple fix and a remodel of the basement wasn't involved. ;)

Thanks for all of your support, Beth, while I have been journaling in preparation for this marathon. It has meant a lot to me! I know you will be there walking with me. I will be sending good vibes your way! :teleport:
 
My DS used to sleepwalk. He still occasionally doesn't recall coming in during the night and talking to me. :confused3 Anyhow, I used to put a baby gate up across the stairs because I was worried he might stumble while going by them and fall down them. Just an idea for you to think about.

I hope you've warmed up by now. Brrrrr....... that sounds like a mighty chilly start to the day!

Great idea to cook ahead like that. My DH will only cook when we go camping. He does it very well, but ONLY then. :rolleyes: If the kids have to rely on Daddy, they are in big trouble!! :eek: I try to leave some cash for a trip to BK or the local diner.

Great job with the eating OP and the exercise. I never doubted for a moment that our Beth would get right back on track! WTG!! :jumping4:

Hi All,

Well, we've had 6 inches of snow, and we are expected to get 5-8 more. I did go to the Y. I did 2 miles on the glider. All the treaddies were in use. I also shoveled the driveway and sidewalk. I did the neighbor's as well. She is a widow. I didn't want to have her come home from work to all that snow. I definately got a workout. I speed cleaned the house because we decided last minute to have some neighbors over for dinner and Lost/Alias party. i only managed 2 loads of laundry. The house is now toasty warm, as Won hasn't reprogrammed the thermostat. I have it set at 70. :cloud9: As Katie put it today, "Daddy is part polar bear."

Meals are OP again today:
B:Coffee and MS bar.
L: pizza casserole.
S: celery stuffed with brie.
D: Heroin wings, salad, green beans with bacon, garlic, and mushrooms. I did make an apple crisp for dessert, but I will have SF jello.

I won't get to journals bacause of the get together. I will definately check in tomorrow.

We got alot of snow as well and they said it may snow up to a foot overnight. My kids are praying so they don't have to go to school tomorrow!

Last night was fun, but they never wanted to leave. They didn''t take any hints, and finally left at 1215. I am old, and need to be in bed by 1130. top it off DH snored ALL night long, so today I am tired and crabby. I would take a nap, but I need to sleep tonight. DH decided to work from home today. We received 7 inches of snow and freezing rain to boot. I will be heading out to help with the snow when Won gets his lazy butt out there. ;)

Plan for the day is to finish the laundry and start putting away the Christmas stuff. I'll be sad to see it go, but I really want my house back. I will do the 3 mile WATP today. I will not drive unless absolutely necessary. I will also do journals today.

Good for you, Beth, knowing when to stay home and also for knowing when to wait for Won to help out! ::yes:: Just remember that guys do not take hints well. If you want something done, be blunt and ask outright. Usually, our guys are very happy to help - they just honestly don't see what needs to be done. :p It took me many years (and some counseling!) to learn this! :teeth:

Morning Beth! That is alot of snow!! Holy cow! Stay indoors where it is safe and warm (70? Mind is set at 74 on a normal day!). I posted some new info on my Dad in my journal - I would really appreciate if you would check it out for me. It helps when you actually understand what they are saying ;) Thanks for being such a good friend.

We got about 5 inches of snow here and then it turned to ice. I slid a whole bunch trying to get in to work. I am praying it warms up today before I go home! I don't mind driving in snow, but ice is a whole nother story!!! :guilty:

I've been doing the 2 mile WATP the last two nights. How much harder is the 3 mile? I feel like I am getting a decent workout, but not anything overly strenuous. Maybe I should bump it up to the 3 mile?

Beth, you are doing so great! How did you like Lost last night? It just gets better and better with each episode to me. I'm more intrigued every time I watch it! :teeth:

Sharon, I think the 3 mile is much better than the 2 mile. I do the 2 mile when I am feeling lazy. I really need to go buy the 4 mile. Actually, I think I want to get a Tae Bo tape.

I managed to get all the Christmas stuff put away. It always depresses me. Won, Katie and I headed out to take care of the snow. It is still snowing though. I strained my back, so no WATP tonight. I will go to the gym in the AM.

I am really struggling with my eating today. I am feeling kind of trapped being stuck in the house. I am extremely claustrophobic, and the decision to stay home today seems to have activaged that. Combine that with fatigue, having Won around and a crabby Katie, it is all I can do to not eat the entire kitchen.

Meals:
B: LC waffle with sf syrup and tea.
L: the last of the pizza casserole.
S: 1.5 oz brie and a few blue berries.
D: salad and omelet

I am going to bed early tonight. I am desperate for sleep. I work a 12 Friday night. I'll check in tomorrow.

How funny! We were posting at the same time!

I think we all have days when we have a rough go at it.. All we can do is our best and if a slip up happen, know that tomorrow is another day and it WILL be better! Hang in there! YOU CAN DO IT! :cheer2:

Hey Beth,

I'm glad you had a good time with your friends. It's funny because when we are at my DH's friend's house, my DH never knows when to leave. His buddy has a pool table, television and a kitchen downstairs. What more is there to say?;)

I hope that the weather improves your way soon. We had snow, rain, freezing rain,and sleet yesterday. Winter has really made it's presence felt, huh?

Hi All,

Tracy, it's not snowing anymore, but it is COLD. We're actually supposed to reach50 degrees on Monday, but I'm not holding my breath.

Today was weigh in 205. I only have 1 more pound of holiday weight to get rid of. I'm hoping by next week, I'll be back at 204.

I did manage to salvage yesterday. I ate only what I posted, and I went to bed as soon as katie was in bed. I needed that sleep. Wilderness, I'm sorry I didn't get the recipes posted to you. I will do that today.
Plan for the day:
Kate heads to school, and I am going to the Y. I'll do 40 minutes on the glider.
Finish folding the laundry. (Hey, at least it is clean)
NAP!
Work from 7P-8A. Our acuity has been sky high. I'm not looking forward to tonight.

I will hit what journals I can today. If I don't make it to yours, know that I am sending :goodvibes: to all.

I thought of you this morning when I was in the grocery store. I bought some Atkins s.f. hazelnut syrup for my coffee. Tomorrow morning as you're coming home from work and just getting up, I'll raise a cup in honor of you. I've appreciated your support so much. Good luck with work tonight. Have you planned what you're going to eat? You know it helps you if you do.
