I just booked a quickie 3 night trip for the end of next month and my craving for strawberry soup has come back very badly. Is there anywhere else at WDW where I can get it besides the GF? I wasn't planning on doing any other character meals besides Chef Mickey's. Just wondering- thanks for your help! :)

I can't wait to try this!

Is this really good??? I'm one of those "soups should be hot" type people. :confused3 But then I LOVE strawberry smoothies. Is Strawberry soup really yummy???

I've had it on a Carnival ship and it is SO SO GOOD. It's just cold creamy strawberry goodness :)

MMMMMmmmm....... I may just have to make it then. Thank you for the recipe!

This is a TOTALLY different recipe than what I actually got from the CM at the 1900 Park Faire breakfast!!! :confused3 I'll have to dig it out of the recipe file when I get home from work & post it online. The one that they got for me had no sugar, grenadine, vanilla, or lemon. If I remember, it used frozen strawberries, sour cream, half & half, & plain yogurt.

As a side note, if you taste something at a WDW restaurant that you REALLY enjoy, ask a CM for the recipe. Sometimes they have it in the back. That's how we got the strawberry soup recipe. We mentioned it to our server, and she sent the manager over to our table with a copy of the recipe!!!

Posted by Chocolate Queen at recipegoldmine.com 1/17/2002 8:26 pm

Source: This recipe was given to me by the staff at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa at Walt Disney World in May 2000.

2 pounds 8 ounces strawberries (frozen
variety, thawed with juice)
16 ounces heavy cream
2 ounces sour cream
3 ounces yogurt
1/2 pound fresh strawberries

Mix strawberries, heavy cream, sour cream, and yogurt. Beat slowly until well mixed and a smooth consistency. Chill, shake well before serving. Add fresh strawberry halves as a garnish.

ENJOY!!!! (And save some for me!) :wave2:

Aha!!! This is the one I think I saw online somewhere- I didn't think I saw one with grenadine. I just loved that soup so much that I didn't really have room for any food! It was like a starwverry smoothie! Yummy!!!

Thanks so much! :)
