Strangest Magical Moments

i have been blown off a bit by many a character signing an autograph, they see you as an adult and feel no need to give you extra attention or have an unstaged interaction.

well the second year i went i saw snow white come out in Epcot and figured i would add her to the collection, even though she is not my favorite. in spite of everyone thinking im much younger, she recognized my age at the time (mid twenties). she asked me very seriously if i had a prince, when i said no, she gave me a pep talk, including telling me that she slept in a glass coffin for a whole year waiting for her man to get her! she then had us interlace arms and said a special "wish" for me. she also made sure we posed for some great photos. my mother was a bit shocked, but it was nice to have that girl to girl talk and totally unexpected. i seriously think we spent at least 5 -10 minutes together and she was in no rush to get to the line behind me.

i think its harder to spread pixie dust to adults so its great to hear these stories.

Snow White became a favorite of mine for her treatment of my DBFF and I at CRT. She asked us if we were celebrating and we told her we had run the W&D half. She said we were her hero's! She said she didn't think she could do it but we told her that we knew she could. Then she asked if we though they would let her ride her horse! ROTF! Just a small magical moment that was made by a bus load of fellow passengers. It was last Christmas and we had just finished dinner at the hoop de doo. We were taking the bus back to MK, as my DS6 didn't want to ride the boat. I'm not quite sure how it started, but the entire bus wound up singing Christmas carols all the way to the park! It had a really nice Christmas feeling and left us all feeling good inside

my dd is there on the cp. one night around 2am, she was on the bus back to there apartment complex. maybe about 10 kids on the bus. the bus pulls into the apartment complex area and the bus got pulled over by a cop. the cop tells the driver the plate was hanging by one screw. the cop asked why are these people dressed like this? the driver said they work for Disney. the cop said if the kids run around the bus two times yelling, we work for a mouse, he would let the driver off with a warning. they did it!!!!! the cop left the driver off with a warning and off they went.

Cast members really are the key to the magic. My DBFF (we are both solid into our adult years) bought a Mickey lollypop and couldn't get it open. We asked a cast member for help and they said, "you need Nigel". They went and got Nigel and the nicest, cutest man from England got out the scissors and opened my friends lollypop. She is at Disney right now and she is still hoping to find Nigel again! Did I mention we were REALLY sleep deprived at the not being able to open a lollypop stage.

Bus driver are the best !

I was once in a bus to the Wilderness Lodge and it was the end of the day (think about 6/7 pm in early February). The bus wasn't really crowded, but I was in that first seat, next to the entrance door and the driver, so I had a pretty good view on the road.
Suddenly, the bus driver told me "ooh, look, there, sand cranes !" and I was all "awwwww". Then we saw a bunch of...turkeys, is that possible ? Or geese ? I don't remember, but it was some big birds. Each time, he told me their name and if they lived in Florida or were just in migration. He was probably a bird-lover !

Then, when we were almost at the intersection that lead to the Wilderness Lodge, we saw some deers and does chilling in the grass, in some kind of clearing in the woods, with the golden sun of the end of the day, it was magical. We were all tired from a day in the park in that bus (and a day of work for the driver) but we were all "awwwwwwwwed" ! It was pretty strange (I'm not used to see so much animals in just one bus drive !) and so magical in the same time.

A similar thing happened to my friends and I once back in...2002, I think? A nice guy at Downtown Disney gave us passes with a day left that he wasn't going to be using. We didn't really expect them to be valid, but we planned to go to Blizzard Beach anyway so we figured we may as well try. Worked just fine. Probably can't be done these days, but no need to question somebody's magical memory!

Yep, I can also remember sharing tickets that had a day or two left. It was very common many years ago. I'm guessing anywhere from 1986-1997.

I remember those days!!! the cm at the gate had to rubber stamp the date on your ticket. if you left the park and wanted to reenter, they would stamp the back of your had with a clear stamp that could only be seen with a black light!!!! couldn't wait to ride peter pan to see what the stamp was!!! didnt matter what hand you held up for them to stamp they would say,"other hand".

in the 70s there was no park hopping allowed!!!!! (there was no other park to hop too.)

ohhhhh and them stupid ride coupon books. spent half the day deciding what attraction to use them on.

these kids now days have no idea how easy they have it!!!

My husband and I have managed to have 2 moments that really stand out for me.

The first was on our honeymoon on our way back to the cabin we were staying at in the Fort Wilderness Area. It was late at night with a busload of us tired guests. The driver then announced that the bus would only move if we all sang "The Wheels on the Bus" children's song. It was hilarious and kept us all awake until we reached our respective stops. Smart driver!

the second event happened when we had decided to go back to WDW for our 10th anniversary. It was a German/Pinocchio themed counter service in the Fantasyland area but I forget the name of the restaurant. It was on the tail end of the dinner rush as we were looking for something to eat. The ruben sandwich looked good but I wasn't sure if I could get it without the cheese (food sensitivities can be an issue for me). The cashier made a point of confirming with the manager that it wouldn't be a problem and then told us yes. This is where it got magical for me. The manager then made a point of coming over to us and asked me about my sensitivity, how sensitive was I, could I have butter, and so on.

The manager then let me know it would take a few extra minutes to make my order special. They were shutting down the grill to clean it before cooking my sandwich (which they also wrapped in foil) just to be sure I wasn't at risk for any contamination. This is not something I've ever had happen anywhere else, ever.

Needless to say, we were both extremely impressed at the lengths they were willing to go through to make sure I was ok. At that moment, Disney had won over 2 die hard loyal fans. They also set the bar for our standards at every other vacation we've ever had since.
