LAst year we stayed at the Poly. As I was packing to go home I put some clothes of my DD's in a bag in the garbage. She was outgrowing them, some were stained so why pack them. She also had a pair of sandals that were very dirty so I tossed those too.About 2 weeks later I get a postcard from the Poly telling me they found my clothes and shoes.I called the number and told the lady that I intended to throw them out but thank you for checking.

This year we were at the POFQ. I has a 2 piece Mickey tankini. I unpacked at home and can't find the black bottom to the tankini. I was upset cause I really liked the suit. Me and DH always do a double and triple check of the room but I thought maybe it was hanging in the bathroom. I called POFQ but they didn't find anything
So the moral of this post is if you lose something it won't be found but if you didn't want something to be found, it will!

Several years ago when DS was little, he was "fighting" with the spare ghost in the ride's car and knocked DHs glasses off. We thought it would be simple to retrieve them, but they had dropped in the crack on the ride's conveyor belt and were lost forever:confused: on a positive note, I left my camera on a Segway during our tour and it was safe and sound after a few phone calls and a trip to EPCOT guest relations the next day:thumbsup2

This has been SEVERAL years ago because River Counrty was still open, but we lost a "water shoe." We were on the little platform where you could swing off into the river, and my shoe came off. It really wasn't a big deal, but my mom mentioned it in conversation. Several weeks later....the shoe arrived in the mail! We laughed, unsure of how they ever even found they nasty thing.

SO lost his wallet in Epcot this past Sunday. It was turned in to guest relations later in the day. Everything was it in except for $20.

I found a camera in MK about 3 weeks ago, the CM looked at me like I was crazy when I told them I found this and wanted to turn it in.:confused3

Our DD lost her camera at Epcot a couple of years ago, went to Customer Relations but no luck. Went back a couple of days later and guess what there it was. Didn't think anything of it untill we had it developed and discovered half the pictures were ours and the other half were taken of another family. We had a laugh about it when we looked through them, just wondered why they took the photos then handed the camera in :confused3

I would likely do this if it was a digital camera, just to spread some laughs. I might do it with a regular camera but I would feel like I was stealing because of the development costs.

Several years ago when we checked into our room at ASMO we found a wallet peeking out from under the bed. Couldn't believe that mousekeeping didn't find it when they cleaned the room that day.:confused3

DH found a black lace bra stuck behind the drawer at ASSp. My kids still mention it every time we unpack at Disney. :rotfl:

On our last trip to DW during Thanksgiving week 2003, my DH's aunt left her purse at an ice cream shop in DTD (can't remember the name). We had our names on the list for seating at Rainforest Cafe, and we just killing time waiting for that.

She had gotten back to RC, and we were about to be seated when she noticed it missing. They hurried back to look for it, and someone had turned it in the the CM at the ice cream shop. Everything was still in there, including a couple thousand bucks cash.

My DH left his pillow at POP with a white pillow case. It looked very similer to theirs. Not only did he get the pillow back I think they washed and pressed the pillow case before they mailed it. Now that is Disney service.:thumbsup2

Last Dec. we were there and I had put dd's jacket in her stroller, and then we went on IASW. When we came out, it was gone. That was my favortite little jacket. We went to Customer relations several times, called lost and found & looked everywhere. We never found it-so I had to buy a tinkerbell jacket becuz the nights got very chilly. So, if anyone ever found a size 2 Gymboree jacket-zipper with hood and horizontal stripes in different colors, could you let me know?:rotfl:

I really was upset about that- it was one of those special pieces of my kids clothes I was planning to save :sad1:

But, I must add that in May we left a Disney fleece throw in our room and called from the airport when we noticed we left it and spoke to mousekeeping. They found it and mailed it to me that week. They were wonderful. :thumbsup2

we left a bag of dirty laundry at the Dolphin this morning. Luckily, we're still in the area, so we're picking it up tomorrow. LOL.

:rotfl: We always take a few pictures of something when we find a camera... (have found a few over the years...) Lets you know your camera wasn't neglected while it was away from you!:goodvibes

We lost a memory card at MK in 2005. Never to be seen again.

I lost my Cell phone at Beach Club while waiting to eat at
"Cape Mays Clam Bake" but didn't realize it until we return home
the next day.
A CM called me to let me know that they had found the phone
there and would be happy to ship it back.
Before I knew where I lost it I had to cancel my service and hope
for the best.
I've heard nightmares about people stealing Cell phones and
running up high out of the country bills and if you do not report
your phone missing as soon as you realize it you can be responsible for
the cell phone bill. One story I heard from a Cell phone rep. was
that a woman could not find her phone but she thought nothing of it
and waited for about 2 weeks before realizing that it was really lost.
Her bill was over $3000.00 and because she didn't report it right away
that she was responsible. I wouldn't have paid it and looked for another
service but I guess it does happen.

I left a pair of pajamas on the bathroom door hook at POR a few years ago. We switched rooms and I forgot about the pajamas. I remembered them later on that day and notified housekeeping. I never got the pajamas back. They were really cute with Winnie the Pooh embroidered on them, and I have never seen another pair like them. But here is what really mystifies me: Why would anyone want to take a dirty pair of used pajamas from a hotel room?

We found a child's wallet in our room at SSR. It was hiding under the ottoman by the sofa. We went to guest services to turn it in, and they looked up the previous occupants of the room and had to go back 2 check-ins to find the owner - guess mousekeeping missed it not once but twice. The strange thing was that after we turned it in and they found out who it belonged to, they asked me what I wanted done with it. Send it back to the poor child who lost it please! I don't know if they thought I wanted to send it back or what, but it was very strange.

I lost a $150 pair of sunglasses at EPCOT this past Jan. (I know, I know, WAY to much to pay for them......but they are really awesome!) It was raining and I was wearing a Mickey poncho. The glasses were on top of my head and I figure I swiped them off when I took the hood of the poncho off. I did not realize it until the next morning. I was just sick about it! I called lost and found every day for the rest of our stay . No luck until the day before we left. I called and they were there!! :cheer2:
