Sorry if this isn't on the correct board but I just wanted to share with sthis board a weird moment we had at WDW.

We went to MNSSHP on 10/26 and enjoyed it. We were very glad we had decided to go-we almost left the day before and headed to VB early.

After doing Buzz Lightyear several times we walked over to TTA and walked right on. Coming out of the ride we decided to ask if we could just stay in our car and go again because there was hardly anyone on the ride and not one person in line.

I asked the CM this and he mouthed the words "what" and pointed to his ear and mouthed "I don't understand". So, I said it again because I believed he didn't understand me-I thought maybe he was from another country or something. I then said it one more time after he did that again and then it realized that he was hearing impaired. My DH was talking to my DS and he also said it because he wasn't aware that the CM may be hearing impaired.

This was all said very fast as the cars really don't stop moving.

This is the weird part-the CM then says "just kidding, I'm just messing with you folks. Yes, you can ride again" and then he starts laughing and he's now yelling across the platform to tell the other CM that we are riding again.

He WASN'T hearing impaired and actually joked around that he was.

My DH and I just looked at eachother in amazement.

Does this seem strange to you?

In poor taste -- yes. But unusual -- not really. I think this stunt has been used on several sitcoms, and I see teens jokingly use it alot when their parents are talking to them.

One of these days that CM is going to encounter a truly hearing impaired person with that act... let him crawl his way out of THAT one.

Not funny. Where do some people get there sense of humor???
