Strange Call to MS...any insight?

I have never had this happen. I called MS to book a Grand Villa for one night at the BW. She says yes it is available. Then says "well, it is available, but it's not". Huh? She says she can not book it for me because there is a negative number of rooms. I never got a good explanation, but I don't see how there is a neg room count that would affect the GV.

Anyone else have this experience and can explain it to me better?

it can happen - CRO is surpose to check with MS before making any reservation not on their system.

if a person of (disney) importance called and wanted BWV GV - don't think CRO would say 'no'.

MS did not know this had happen - so they also booked the GV.

of course it could be just as easily be a computer error.

a few years ago during that golf tournament - ms was asking OKW people to leave the GV - don't know what Disney had booked for them - but some wanted the OKW GV and got it. the members got all their points back plus a 2-bedroom and studio.

You may have heard this before. In May of 2006 I booked a HA Grand Villa at OKW and received a guaranteed reservation confirmation. 3 days before our flight left, they called and told my husband they needed to move us to SSR. We were so disappointed, but apparently someone made a mistake and didn't actually book the GV but a room next to it or something. Like a typo. They did let us upgrade from a Studio to a 1 BR on our beginning and ending nights (where there were only 4 of us). And even though the SSR is more points (why I don't know) they only charged us the number of points we would've used for our GV vacation. It happens. But I wish they would've asked the other party to move. They called the move an "upgrade", but my heart is where my home is.

Thanks for the replies. It seems that there are a number of situations that can change a ressie. It can be quite disappointing...
