Has this happened to anyone else?

I just got a call regarding our reservation for a 2 bdrm OKW villa starting June 5th. from someone with Disney Vacation Planning (I think that is what they said). As soon as I heard the Disney name my ADD challenged mind kicked into "the last night of GV waitlist is finally here!" mode and then she asked that I confirm our 2 Bdrm ressie starting June 5th and when I replied that was our initial reservation but we had been waitlisted and received a GV for every night of our stay but the last one, she almost seemed as if she had been handed a "hot potato" and said "I'll transfer you to DVC" the music started for a min or 2 then there were several clicks and soon I am disconnected. NOW I START TO PANIC. I called DVC and the CM assured me that the reservations were in place for the GV and the last night for the 2Bdrm and Studio so we are all set. When I asked if she had any idea what the call was regarding, since in 7 years and to many stays to count I had never received a call like this before, she offered that it might be the front desk at the resort trying to assign rooms. To me this is just more of the mystery surrrounding room assignments and how and when they are done. I seems like they start about 10 plus days tryiing to work it all out. It will be interesting to see what our room assignment really is. :confused3

Originally I requested pixie dust for the waitlist. Now I think I need Divine intervention just to get the GV and our 1st request for a specific OKW area. I've given up on the GV for the last night....we only have till Sunday to even have a shot at it.

Please send pixie dust!

Hi Cyndy,
What was told to you by MS does seem contradictory to the "room ready" policy we've been hearing about ? Odd
To add, I sure hope you get that GV for the final night !!! :cool1: Pixie dust coming at ya :wizard: :goodvibes

I've always been told by MS that the rooms don't go to the assigners until 2-3 days out from check in. 10 days out would seem like a big jump to me?

Make sure you have your confirmation in hand when you check in!

That title "Disney Vacation Planning", would have me thinking that they were checking out availability for a DRO ressie. Your probably looked strange to them since it would have been for one night only. You probably got disconnected, because she was probably trying to do something she shouldn't have. JMHO

We are arriving June 4th at BCV but have not received a call from anyone. I hope you get your last day in the GV. Pixie dust to you. Annmarie

June 5th was the 1st night of our ressie which had the 2bdrm and studio cancelled for that night and moved to a GV (that is why I thought it was strange, I would think that it would not even show up now that the GV has been secured.

Diane:
I'm not sure what a DRO is, could you explain, then it will come back to me like a blinding flash of the obvious!! :rotfl:

Thanks to all for the pixie dust.

I think DRO should have been CRO..

And once when we waitlisted for the last day or a ressie, we didnt find out until we checked in that we got the last day... I hope the same goes for you!

GL and enjoy that Grand Villa!

I agree with Diane:scratchin

Sounds like maybe someone from CRO was calling to sniff around and figure some things out :confused3 Talk about something that can make you crazy wondering though ugh.... :rolleyes2

Sending you lots of pixie dust though....with any luck, even if you don't hear before you leave, maybe you'll get that last night when you check in like Laurabearz did ;)

Sorry! Sometimes I type faster than my brain can work! Yes, I meant CRO. I suspect that person thought it was "unusual" to see a 2 bedroom reserved for just one night. Hope you get your last GV night!
