Stormy Disney pictures!

That's so cool! How did you get the picture at just the right time? Did you stand there and as soon as the lightening came, take the picture? Woth my luck, I'd never be able to time it so perfect like that.

My ego would say how I set the shot up just right and made the split second exposure ......

..... but to tell the truth I really got lucky with it.

I was trying to get a lightning shot but never really thought that I would get it in the day time.

I'm so glad I found this thread! It really is the best ever:) :thumbsup2

Rainy Day (At least for me) in MGM (or is it the South Pacific?):

I've got another one, but it's not a picture, it's a video I took with my S2. Does that still count? Anyway, we were stuck in Epcot in the American Pavillion when this downpour happened. Be sure to turn your volume up so you can hear how hard the rain was coming down.

This is the uncompressed copy so it's a 19 meg download. If you've got any basic video editor look at the video at 12.25 and tell me what you think is happening.... I'm still not sure.

OMG! It looked like a tracer of lightning on the shoulder of the guy in white in front of you! That was scary. Although it was probably just a reflection of the lightning that got picked up by your lens...he didn't seem at all fazed by it.

Great pics and video!! Here's one more. It's pouring here now. Our community picked a great day for it's yard sale. :sad2: Oh well. Should be able to get some ducky photos over at the Food and Wine this morning. Have a rainy day everyone!;)
StormClouds threaten America. This one passed us by without sheading a tear:)

Your video is great too Jeff. It really does look like the guy next to you got hit by lighting.

I thought it was just some aftereffect of the lightning (or precursor I suppose). A Lens reflection also seems to make sense too.

But look again - it looks like the lightning wraps over his shoulder.

The guy is actually a CM.

This is from August 30th, 2007. We spent a stormy day at Disney Studios. When the rain first started downpouring, my DH and I found ourselves stuck at the FP area for Rock n' Rollercoaster. We didn't know how long it be raining for and didn't want to waste the day so we skipped poncho-less out from under cover all the way to Tower of Terror, splashing in all the puddles. We were wearing our bride and groom ears and people were cheering us on.

Of course, when we got to ToT we were soaked but it was so fun! I'm a chicken so DH rode alone but it was so cool even to be in the Hollywood Hotel hearing real crashes of lightening.

We watched one line of storms just edge EPCOT. Later on in the afternoon, this line moved right overhead. No thunder/lightning, just rain...

I just remembered this thread, and I really liked it and all of the pictures everyone posted :thumbsup2

So does anyone else have some good stormy Disney pictures? :thumbsup2

This is a fun thread. The lightning pictures are amazing. We were just there and had a few stormy days.

These are from last friday leaving MGM, or DHS as it is now known.
