I like your choice of home resorts! : )Hey neighbor- we will be across the way at BCV, but earlier in the month or I would wave to welcome you!![]()
It depends how you spend your vacation without SAB! It's still a great location for EP and HS. You will still have access to 3 'quiet' pools. And you'll still be at WDW!! For us, yes, worth it........We are planning to make our first trip WDW next May. Do you all think Beach Club will still be worth staying at a few nights with Storm Along Bay closed?
Does that still work with construction going on at Boardwalk? And coming back, all I remember is that I look for "Jellyrolls" and turn onto the Boardwalk there. Is that one of the quicker ways?Quickest is walking through the Boardwalk resort after "crossing the bridge" as you say, and "in front of the Boardwalk" as you also say. Both your ways actually have a bridge. You will find an alley way just left of the art store which takes you through the main pool then out to the canal where you will continue your walk to the Studios
I can't speak to the construction but I would be very surprised if you would have any obstructions to the plan I detailed above. It is also unnecessary to pass by Jelly Rolls by the way when going to and from the BCV.Does that still work with construction going on at Boardwalk? And coming back, all I remember is that I look for "Jellyrolls" and turn onto the Boardwalk there. Is that one of the quicker ways?
We just left this past Saturday and they did not have a Freestyle machine.Does anybody know if the put a Coke Freestyle machine in the store a Beach club... i hate having to walk over to Yachtclub! When i was there May 23 the machine at the Beach club ice machine was broken so was hoping they would replace it during the refurb with one of the Freestyle ones
Welp, was gonna buy a refillable mug for the first time…We just left this past Saturday and they did not have a Freestyle machine.
Every refurbishment on property seems to take longer than expected the last few years. I'd be nervous too if I were you. I'm not trying to be negative, just realistic. I'd advise you to make a back up plan since SAB is so important to you. Either have back up dates that are later, or a back up reservation somewhere else with a great pool if your dates are locked. I'm hoping the announced timeline is accurate, but there are too many recent and current examples of drawn out projects to count on it.What are the chances they're over estimating the pool refurb next year and not under estimating. Booking for first week of July as it should be done by then based on Disney's timeline but man oh man does it make me a little nervous. SAB is THE reason we stay there so it kinda would be a deal breaker. Would you feel comfortable making these plans?
SAB doesn't have zero entry, but the area where the kids can build sand castles is only about a foot deep, should be an easy step down without needing any assistance. Dunes Cove pool has stairs, no zero entry,.I'm trying to remember (because it's never been an issue before) ... does SAB have any stairs or zero entry into any of the pools? How about the BCV quiet pool? I broke my arm, and even though it'll be out of the cast I won't be able to hoist myself out of the pool using the ladders.
