I just came back from walking with my friend and she said she heard that Mexico was hit very bad with the storm that is headed up our way. I did not hear anything about this but was wondering if anyone else had. Was the damage in Cozumel? Maybe my delimma of wether or not to go to the San Gervasio ruins will be solved by mother nature.:smooth:

Isidore passed just north of Grand Cayman on its way towards Western Cuba. Then it meandered west-southwest and is raking the north shore of the Yucatan Peninsula. Grand Cayman and Cozumel probably both took some damage, but nothing too major I would imagine. I'm sure we'll hear more after next week's Magic cruise to that area.

I got an e-mail from Ruth in Grand Cayman today. She said:

Mary,
Yes, we got soaked but there was no major damage here. School was out Thursday and Friday, and most businesses were closed, but now we are drying out and everything is back to normal.

I have also heard that Cozumel had very minor damage (dead tree limbs, ect) nothing like the Northern tip of the Yucatan *****ular.

I am hoping that Lili "behaves" herself and will not effect our cruise next Sat. BUT...if she heads to the Western Carib. the we will go some where else!I try not to worry about things I have no control over!:p
