Storkcraft crib recall

So I have one of the Storkcraft cribs that were recalled. Cant get the website to pull up anyone else freaking out about this?? The shame of it all is my ds4 slept in it until he was three and now my dd is 19 months. Perfectly content in her crib but I could move her to the twin in her room. She is not showing any signs that she is ready for this transition though. So I am going to keep trying to get the converter kit. Busy signals on the 1-877 number!

I expect the phone lines and website will be busy. My crib has the drop down sides too though I don't think it is involved in the recall. Both DS (now 4) and DD (20 months) have used it and DD still uses it. I am not worried about it but it certainly couldn't hurt to get the free kit to stop the side from dropping down. Just keep trying...

The gov't recall site states:

All Stork Craft Baby cribs with manufacturing and distribution dates between May 2000 and November 2008 are included in this recall.

The page I linked to above has a link to storkcraft, and they have a form to fill out to request the kit.

In the meantime, they urge people to "immediately stop using the recalled cribs and find an alternative, safe sleeping environment for their baby".
