Stores With Wide Width Soccer Shoes for Kids?

DD7 has wide feet and always wears wide tennis shoes and dress shoes. However, she can wear the kids' cleats at Dick's (depending on brand), even though they are not wide width. Have you tried there? Right now she is wearing red cleats by adidas - she thinks they are very cool!

This tends to be more brand related than anything.... Nike is known to be narrow so we generally don't even try those on. Addidas is better and we can often get an OK fit with those. Our best luck has been with Diadora when you can find them. You might want to try a store that specializes in soccer/lacrosse/field hockey-they typically have more selection than a sporting goods store, and on shoes we find their prices to be comparable. Also make sure you try them on with a soccer sock, it makes a big difference!

DD7 can't wear Nike either, so we don't try. Good tip about the soccer socks - we always bring them, but I forgot to mention that.

Yep just stay away from Nike and you should be ok. My wide footed ds actually got lucky last year with a pair from Payless(I think they were were Spalding and they were wide and CHEAP!!$9) And he said comfy!

My 14 DD has been playing soccer since she was 5 & she not only has a semi wide foot, but also has no arch & her second & third toes are "webed"... she cannot wear Nike, they are just way too narrow. She needs room in the toe area as well. She seems to be more comfy in Adidas. The doc has also suggested that we get her insoles to put in them for her (flat feet). We usually go to an Adidas outlet in Orlando. (just another reason to go to Orlando ;) )

I don't know about kids, but for adults New Balance has widths up to Quad-E.

Thanks for all the replies! I'll check payless today.

Last year we tried every brand we could find and nothing fit. Then in desperation, we hit K-Mart. Theirs fit great! Might be worth a shot for you too.

Thanks everyone! I just got back from payless and found a pair that fit him great and they were pretty inexpensive too!
