Stop Those Line Cutters!!!

Are we going to stop those LINE CUTTERS!!!

  • Absolutly!

  • I'll try!

  • Conflict is not my thing, even if I am nice about it!

  • I love when people cut in line in front of me in those long hot lines an increase my wait time!

Like others have said, I can always understand a parent with a young child cutting ahead to get with their family. The other thing is an elderly person who's family has been standing in line and they meet them so they didn't have to wait as long.

(1) Price checks should be done somewhere else. If an item needs price checking the clerk should quietly and skillfully pull it aside and not sell it and keep checking out the remaining items. I am still trying to come up with some strategy such as each time I am held up by someone's price check, tell the clerk to honor me a coupon that does not fit, or better yet each time someone ahead of me needs a price check I go to customer service later and ask for an arbitrary extra dollar discount.

(2) Once I was waiting in a checkout line and another register opened and someone somewhat behind me beat me to the new line just by a hair, and I ran around to the wrong (exit) side and pushed backward through. This was not a supermarket and no one was pushing a cart.

(3) That person deserves a shove back just for shoving's sake. One reason where planning your Disney trip with relatives such as your brother in law's family can help. How many people get cell phones pickpocketed by someone who decides to get even and run?

(4) ... noticed two teenage girls duck under the rope behind us from the regular line into the fast past line. I knew further up in line the CM takes your fast passes, so I figured they'd get caught there. Nope. The girls smiled sweetly at the (male) CM and said "oh, that CM back there took our fast passes". He smiled a goofy smile and said "ok, go ahead!" I was seething.

(4) Were the girls ogling the CM and vice versa? Hmmm ... What if you dilly dallied a little looking at the scenery and decorations, just to let them pass and if something like that happens, you too, say "that CM back there took our fast passes too" too ... Now you can ride twice.

We were at BB. I had just gotten out of the water at the end of one of the "tunnel" rides that requires the use of a tube. As I climbed the steps, I saw a kid a couple of people in front of me hand his tube to the next person in line. Rather than keep moving, he stepped a little to the side, then reached his arms out to me, for me to give him my tube.

The kid is still dripping wet, wanting me to give up my tube, rather than give it to someone who's been waiting in line for 15 minutes.

I handed the tube to the next person in line, and told the kid to keep going. Gotta admit, though, in the words of Arlo Guthrie in "Alice's Restaurant", he had " a lot of d*** gall).
