Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

I agree 100 percent on the food touching thing! That's one of the things I did not like about the GG when we went. We had a "traditional" Thanksgiving fare with the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce ... all on one platter with the cranberry sauce gooped all over everything. Yuck! It ended up being a "scape, scrape, scrape ... eat" meal.

I'm totally with you when it comes to food touching. In fact, I just had a gravy incident this past weekend at my mom's.

AND I really don't like cooked fruit. If I have fruit, and I love fruit, I want it in its natural state. I wouldn't say I "hate" it or skip a dessert because of it typically LOL, but I prefer it au naturale!

Growing up, btw, I had to finished one food before starting another. I still sometimes do that, saving my favorite for the last (silly, because by then I'm full.)

Goodness! I thought I was the only one who did this. Except that I still do it sometimes. My family picks on me about it because I eat one thing, turn the plate, eat the next, turn the plate ... and so on. They get a real kick out of it.

We all must be related somehow! Sometimes, I still eat just one thing on my plate, then eat the next thing. It's makes me feel all icky inside when I see someone who has two different foods on their fork and then eat it. Oh my!:scared1:

So, I'm talking with Lacey last night and she reminded me that we actually did go to the Imagination pavilion. I said "well why am I remembering us standing around like a bunch of first timer's trying to decide what to do?" . She said that was AFTER we did the Imagination paviliion. I went through all my pictures on my home computer and shhhaaaabaaammm, there were pictures. Right now I am uploading those pictures to photobucket. That means I'll have to revise what I wrote earlier. I'll be back after while to do the revision and post more pictures.

I love reading your trip report and seeing all the photos - can't wait for the next installment.

I have finally read all 192 pages of this thread!! Ok well between power outages and trying to keep up on a few subscribed threads, and updates on my own, it's taken me a few days. ;)

I have to say I've enjoy reading every update and seeing all of your pictures!! You have a wonderful, funny, great family, and your love for each other really shows. As well as your humor!!! :lmao:

I am off to subscribe to your PTR!

LOL..good thing Lacy has a good memory!!
I was just thinking if people like you who have awesome detailed reports write down your day at the end of the day??

I love how Hunter is great with the characters! Depending on what college he goes to he needs to look into the college work program. Gwendolyn was so disappointed when she could not go after being accepted. I just know Hunter would be awesome there!

I am sure I missed a lot, but I wanted to stop in and say hi!!! I love the dancing with mickey and the gang!! So cute!

Glad that you're still reading. It sometimes seems like forever in between my installments.

I love Lacey's expressions. She looks like she's having a blast.

My kids love to ham it up!

We really enjoyed the GG back in December. The Berry Buckle dessert was very good and GG is the only place on property I found that has FRESH brewed sweet tea :drinking1. The sweet tea from the soda fountians has a really strange taste to it. My wife and I have used the ponchos we bought on our honeymoon in 1992 (back then they were a heavier plastic) every year. It rained one day on our last trip non stop all day long . I took it off and on so many times that I ended up ripping the head hole wide open and also caught it on a table corner in Mexico and had to throw it away :sad2:. Anyway I feel Johns pain about ponchos.

We take our ponchos back year after year. I finally threw our's away year before last because I forgot to wipe them down before storing them and they got all moldy. John just hates ponchos!

There! I'm all caught up and now I'm heading over to read your pre-trip report.:)

Hey there! I hope to get another installment written soon!

Welcome aboard! I'm glad that you are enjoying yourself. I hope to get another installment up either this afternoon or in the morning....more than likely in the morning since I don't get the chance to Dis during the evening much.

Goodness gracious! You had some readin' to do didn't ya! We do love to have fun together and I hope that's something my kids will always remember.

I usually go through my pictures and their sequence to keep up with what we did next. But, for some reason, this time I just couldn't remember when we did what at Epcot. I went into this last trip saying I was going to write stuff down every day. Did I do it? Shoot no!:rolleyes1

I love how Hunter is great with the characters! Depending on what college he goes to he needs to look into the college work program. Gwendolyn was so disappointed when she could not go after being accepted. I just know Hunter would be awesome there!

We tried to talk Lacey into doing the college program. At the time she could think of nothing but joining Master's Commission. Hunter says he is going to be a Disney Imagineer. Hope he does so he can get me into Disney!

Catching up again! :goodvibes I hadn't realized you updated and got 2 updates behind.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the Garden Grill!! You can definitely tell that Lacey and Hunter were having a good time with the characters!!:thumbsup2 Great pictures!!!:)

Can't wait to read about Illuminations!!popcorn::

I apologize that I haven't gotten an update posted as quickly as I had hoped I would. Life got in the way or should I say water got in the way.

Wednesday evening, John was working and Hunter and I had just gotten home from church. I put a load of clothes in the washer as I do each and every night. Earlier that day, I found out that Hunter didn't complete a report for school and therefore didn't turn it in. I was having a stern talk with Hunter about that fact. He was trying to pass off some lame excuse to me which was upsetting me even more.

You'll imagine my surprise when I turn around and see a lake of water coming into my kitchen! :scared1: I nearly had a cow right then and there. Hunter jumped up from the bar stool and yelled "what do I do?". "Grab towels!" I yelled back. So, we each went into a bathroom and started grabbing every towel we had....beach towels, bath towels and hand towels. I wade through the kitchen into the utility room and see that my washing machine has completely run over. The water in the utility room is at least 2 inches deep. I hit the knob to turn the washer off and start throwing down towels. Hunter's throwing down towels in the kitchen. It's just chaos at this point. I told Hunter to get my cell phone and call his daddy and ask him what we need to do.

Mind you, this is happening at almost 9:00 at night. John's working at a lady's house putting down ceramic tile while she is at the hospital. She's a nurse who works the night shift and sleeps during the day. Anyway, John told Hunter he doesn't have a key to this lady's house and he can't leave yet. He'll be home as soon as he can though.

In the meantime, I got the house phone to call my Mama who lives next door and said, as calmly as I could, "I've got an emergency. Can you bring as many towels as you can. My utility room and kitchen are flooded." She said she'd be there in just a minute.

I picked up the soaking wet towels and threw them into the utility room sink. The water was slowly working it's way under my dishwasher, refrigerator and stove. Hunter went outside to get the mop and mop bucket but I knew that a single mop wasn't going to do the job. Think Lisa think! I ran down the hall to the linen closet and got blankets and throws. If you ever have a water leak and need something to soak up water....toss a throw down and it'll suck it up big time.

Mama comes in and just says "Oh baby!" and starts doing what she can. My cell phone rings and Hunter goes to answer it. What happens next? You can probably imagine what happens when somebody goes running over a wet floor......he slips down and busts his butt. It looked just like something out of a comedy....he's trying to stand up and his socks are slipping on the wet floor and he's holding on to the edge of the cabinet reaching for the phone. It was just the laugh I needed. The phone call was John saying he was on his way home.

Once John got there, we had most, but not all, of the water soaked up except for what was under the appliances. He moved all those around and we soaked up the water and cleaned underneath. I was just plain old disgusted. I clean my house thoroughly every Saturday and am a stickler for a clean kitch and baathroom but what was found underneath my appliances was gross. Where does all that fuzz and grime come from?

So, after about 3 hours of cleaning, we finally had the water up, the floors wiped down, the cabinets wiped down (they had water all over them from us picking the towels up and putting them in our three sinks) and the appliances all back in place.

Yesterday, Mama took all of our towels, blankets and throws to a local washateria who had the commercial size washers and dryers. We had six huge black garbage bags of wet stuff! Thank goodness she did that! I love my Mama.

We still haven't hooked the washer back up. We plan on doing that this afternoon. I am hoping that it was just some fluke that it overflowed. If not, I'll either have to call in a repairman to fix it or just buy another washer.

Maybe I can get an installment up tonight or tomorrow!

Yuck and double yuck!! I hate when appliances and cars break down even though I know it's just life! Sigh!

Hoping your washer works just fine when you start it up!! Looking forward to the next installment of your TR...........whenever that is! :)

How awful. Our basment has flooded in the past a couple of times and I tell you it is heartwrenching and alot of work.

I'm so sorry about your flood it sounds like a nightmare. I would have been hysterical! I was so engrossed in the story but then you had me laughing with Hunter falling down and his socks coming off. Is your washer ok? We had a flood in our bathroom recently from the toilet:scared: and the water went under the wall and into the other bathroom so it flooded two bathrooms YUCK!
I hope everything is back to normal!

Great character pictures Lisa! I love it when the older kids really get into it! :thumbsup2

I hope you are getting the washing machine situation all squared away. What a mess!

That flood sounds awful! Thanks for sharing that story- I was cracking up at your description of Hunter sliding around. :rotfl: You have the gift of the ability to make us laugh.
