Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Whew! All caught up! I was about 25 pages behind! YIKES!!

Anyway...your family just makes me giggle! You look like you enjoy each other so much. I love that! :thumbsup2

I'm so sorry to hear about your Chef Mickey's experience. It's one of the places that's on my "must-try" list. I may have to reconsider that....I don't have YOUNG children either. Jonah is 9 now and I don't know when our next trip may be.

Loved the cave update...so fun! We used to tour a cave in PA when I was a little girl, but it's been a long time!

Now that I'm caught up, I'll be chiming in more! Can't wait! :cool1:

Love your pictures at Chef Mickey's!! Your kids always take the best pictures!! They sure do know how to pose!!!:thumbsup2 Oh and great family picture in front of the plate. We bought it the first year but have skipped buying it on the last two trips. Again, sorry the experience was less than ideal but at least you got some great pictures out of it.;)

Can't wait for more...popcorn::

Oh Lisa..I almost forgot..I started my PTR (we finally decided on a date ) The link is in my siggie.:goodvibes

Hello there! I'm glad that you came over to read my report. We have a lot of fun on here. Hope you've made it through a lot of the report so far.

Phew - made it!! I started out reading most posts, then started skimming to find your Disney posts. However that room in the Hot Springs was AWFUL! Glad you got comped the full price eventually :)

Looking forward to reading about the rest of your trip!

Awesome! I'm caught up. Sorry about Chef Mickey's- that really stinks. I keep hearing bad things about them. The dinner at the Grand Floridian Cafe sounds awesome, though! I think the picture with Goofy is my favorite. As far as characters go, he is on the top of my list! (tied with a few others. ;) )

I'm sorry to hear you guys didn't get good character interaction at Chef Mickey... I went with my mom and we had some great interaction with them!

I can't wait to hear what you though of Cirque! (personally I loved it!)

I wanted to comment on this last night, but after 4 hrs of reading everything, I was too exhausted lol...I was laughing outloud most of the time reading this & my kids were looking at me like I was cray! I can't wait to read more!!! I'm subscribing!

Boys will be boys! :rotfl::rotfl:

I love the pictures of Hunter and Lacey with the characters...your daughter is a hoot!

Lacey is the goofiest thing ever.

Hey!! I just found your report and I have a lot of catching up to do! :)

Howdy! I'm glad that you came over to read. Please feel free to post comments any time you want.

We loved Grand Floridian Cafe:thumbsup2. We got the dessert sampler too and yes it was yummy. We had booked a second ADR for there when we had to leave and come home a day early. I have an ADR at GFC in May and I can't wait!!!

I made a reservation for us to eat at the Grand Floridian again on our 2010 trip but ended up canceling it to make room for the Hoop Dee Doo.

I wanted to do the walk from the MK to the Contemporary last year but we were running so late that we had to just go and park at the Contemp. parking lot, then we got lost trying to drive over to the MK lot and ended up at the kennels but at least I got a good pic of a Pluto plant outside (my mind just went blank I can't think of what their called).
I had to go back and look at your pics so I could find the blue gum:laughing:
Waiting for more!

Hearing your lost story reminds me of why we chose to just take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and walk over. We thought about driving but I was too afraid I'd get lost.

Blue gum....yuck!

I'm glad that I am able to give you a giggle or two. That just happens to be my specialty. And, yes, we do enjoy spending time together...especially since we don't get to see Lacey as often as we'd like.

Chef Mickey's was one of the places that I had wanted to try for a long time. I was so disappointed that we didn't like it.

I love caves! Every time we drive to Disney, I see a sign for the Florida Caverns and want to stop. But, you know how it is when you're on your way to something. You don't want to stop until you reach your destination.

My kids always take CRAZY pictures! Never a dull moment with them around. Just wait until you see my Garden Grill pictures. We had the entire restaurant laughing at us.

Wasn't the room bad!?!? What's so sad is the fact that it's supposed to be "THE" hotel to stay at in Hot Springs. You won't find me going back any time soon.

Chef Mickey's was definitely not what I wanted it to be. Grand Floridian was great.

The picture with Goofy was a good one. I just wish it had turned out a little clearer.

I'm sorry to hear you guys didn't get good character interaction at Chef Mickey... I went with my mom and we had some great interaction with them!

I can't wait to hear what you though of Cirque! (personally I loved it!)

The characters came around but they didn't linger. Just long enough for a picture and then they left. Oh well, at least I got to snap some pics.

My gracious! Four hours of reading! At least I was able to keep you entertained for that long. We are a pretty lively silly bunch. Throw Disney into that mix and we're even sillier.

Don't worry about your kids looking at you like you're crazy...mine look at me like that all the time. They just shake their heads and walk away.

sounds like a great anniversary dinner!
shucks on having to get to Disney quest and it was closed but I'm sure you guys made the most of your evening walk around DTD!
looking forward to more... popcorn::
:wave2: Connie

How can you forget your anniversary! LOL! So was that the day before the Cirque one?

Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't been around today. It's billing time again at the office. I absolutely hate it!

During my lunch hour, I spent most of the time researching the Disney Alaska Cruise. My mother wants to go to Alaska so bad and I want to do a Disney cruise very badly. So, I thought about it and I remembered that Disney said they'd start offering Alaskan cruises in 2011. I plugged in a few May and June, 2011 dates. The cost for all four of us would be a little over $5,000.00 but that doesn't include airfare to Vancouver which I figure will be a hefty chunk of change. It's still something to consider.

Oh, and yesterday sucked big time! We had $306.00 worth of work done on the car. John brought it to me right before lunch but had to park it across the street in the courthouse parking lot. I got in at lunch and was driving slowly down the lane when some stupid girl started backing up. Not from a parking place either. She just put her Tahoe in reverse and started backing up. Obviously, she didn't look behind her before she put it in reverse because I was behind her. :scared1: Of course, I laid on my horn and was yelling (like she could hear me in my car :rotfl:) but I couldn't back up because there were people behind me. She just backed right over the front of my car.

Thankfully, there was absolutely no damage to my car. At least, I couldn't see any visible damage. I called the police who told me they don't come to parking lot accidents. We have to exchange information and then I'd go to the police station and make a report. How stupid is that?!?!

The whole time I am on the phone with the police and then while exchanging insurance information, she's on the phone. She said "My Mama wants you to write something saying there's no damage to your car". I looked her straight in the eye and said "You can tell your Mama to shove it because I'm not going to do that. Tell your Mama that I am a paralegal and am not stupid enough to write let alone sign something like that." I continued to look at her as if she had three eyes and a great big ole' head and she said "Mama said okay." As she was writing down her information, I saw that she had a telephone number from a local town where John's family lives. I made sure that she knew that "I know people there." I just conveniently left out the part that it was John's family and not some hot shot Judge or something.:rolleyes1

Then, the girl proceeds to tell me that she was all shook up because she had been in court and they didn't call her name. That, immediately, told me that she had been in criminal court. That's the only court that they just call out your name. I asked her what she was going to court for and she said "Domestic violence. I had to serve 72 hours in jail and now I have to go back to court." Great! I've been backed into by a husband/boyfriend beater. I told her to go back to court at 1:00 p.m. and tell the bailiff that her name wasn't called and ask what she needed to do. I couldn't help myself...the paralegal came out in me and I felt the need to advise her. She thanked me and got in her car and left.

John came and looked at the car and we didn't see any damage. Instead of going to the police department and having to go through the whole hassle of making a report, we decided to just leave it be. The girl is already in enough trouble. Why make a claim when there was really nothing wrong to the car?

Then, when I got home last night, Hunter proceeds to tell me that he has to have a white shirt to wear to school the next day. It had to be a dress shirt or a polo shirt. Now I don't know about most of you guys but I don't buy my 12 year old boy white shirts......hum.....can we say pizza sauce or ketchup or mustard splatter stains? During the horrendous thunder and lightning storm and tornado watches, we were making a fast trip to Wal-Mart. The only shirt I could find was a white polo shirt. At least it was only $5.50.

So, as you can see, I've had a little excitement in the last couple of days. I went home and to sleep with a major headache. I wonder why? :scared1:

I hate to tell you I don't miss those days of needing something the "very next day." Oh wait, I recall my son calling me from Dubuque, 150 miles away, telling me he needed his dress pants and dress shoes in two days. Thank God I work at an office and we have Federal Express easily available. :rotfl::rotfl:

I hope your headache is better.

Wow I'm glad you and your car are ok. I don't buy River white shirts either they wouldn't last one day. I hope your luck turns around I've been having a very stressfull week too it seems like when something goes wrong it just snowballs and everything goes wrong. I hope you get to take your cruise I've never been on one but a disney cruise sounds like alot of fun!

At one time both my older kids went to Catholic School and wore uniforms...of white shirts and dark pants. Both of them are slobs! I didn't care though. I wasn;t going to buy a bunch of new shirts every few weeks. LOL! I washed the best I could and then they had to wear it.

I would take your car in have it looked at to be sure. You never know and you don;t want a problem to show up in 2 months (Or on your way to Disney)

DS 8 wears his white polo's and navy pants everyday to catholic school-what are they thinking? EVERY day he comes home with juice or chocolate milk down the front.....sometimes I cannot even tell what is on the shirt!!!

This is an awesome trip report! I am going in 11 days and its my first stay at the CBR! its my best friends 21st birthday (she is from CT and Im from MA) so were meeting there and I have a few surprises for her. One being that we are not staying at the Pop Century but the CBR! We are also eating at alot of the same restaurants that you did and they look and sound awesome!

Looks like you had an awesome time!

How can you forget your anniversary! LOL! So was that the day before the Cirque one?

I didn't, technically, forget our anniversary. I just forgot it in my trip report. :rotfl:

:surfweb:awesome pics as always:goodvibes ur kids r toooo cuteee

My kids are a mess and a half! At least they aren't whiners who won't interact with the characters.

I don't think kids ever outgrow the "I gotta have this now" stage. Lacey lives 9 hours away and I still get those messages every now and then.
