Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

That was like when Don got that Bell's Palsy (which you know all to well of)when we were in Fl. I took him to the er. After 17 years with neurosurgeons I knew exactly what it was. The nurse is yelling at me cause I didn't bring him in the night before. The only sympton then was the drooping lip. By the next morning when all the other symptoms came I knew to get him there. They kept telling me it was a stroke and I would say no it's Bell's. So after a couple of hours and many hundreds of dollars worth of tests. So you have a Bell's Palsey. Yes Mrs. P your years with the Drs paid off this time. Don started showing symtoms again this summer of the Bell's but they found out he once again has low potassium. He did then too. So he is on 3 pills a day. His symptoms have not gotten any worse.I really beilieve your mom will get somewhat better. Her eye eventually may need to be fixed but as long as she can see out of it I would hold off. It does happen to a lot of people. Men too.

I don't believe in being mean to people but I do believe in the truth. If I had to walk and talk in circles I would forget what I say. I am glad your mom has fresh meat as it were to talk too.

Okay, Lisa, I'm caught up again. Good thing I was only about 7 pages behind this time!

Loved the FOTLK pictures. I took a bunch too. ;)

The Luau looked like fun. We've never done any of the dinner shows. I keep thinking we're going to do HDDR, but then never get it worked in. One of these days I guess...

Glad that your drama has died down some. Sorry about the deal with your niece. What can you do, right? I think you've been perfectly reasonable.

Can't wait to read your next installment. June seems like a long time away, doesn't it?

Hey girl! Because of all the family drama, I wasn't able to update much of my trip report.

I had no idea that I took so many pictures of Festival of the Lion King. The ones that I posted were a mere few compared to the actual number that I took.

The luau was fun. It was definitely something different since we had done the Hoop Dee Doo Review two times already. It was a nice way to end the day.

I appreciate the kind words regarding my family drama (as I like to call it). I've pretty much washed my hands of the whole mess.

June sounds like it will never ever get here!

Hi Lisa! Great pics of the Luau! I have always wanted to try it but I am a VERY picky eater & the food didn't sound too good to me! LOL! While on our honeymoon we did eat at O'Hanna & I didn't like anything! :confused3 Like I said, I'm VERY picky!! Can't wait to read more!!!

Good news about your mom and your BIL!!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I LOVE the Polynesian Resort! I would love to stay there if we could afford it!! Every trip we eat at the Kona Cafe for breakfast!! Very Good!!!!

It's nice to hear from you again. How have you been feeling lately?

Hunter is a super dee dupper picky eater. He really liked the bread at the luau and ate a pretty good bit of the roasted chicken. But, he was glad that they brought out hot dogs too.:thumbsup2

If I ever get the extra money, I'd book a stay at the Polynesian in a heartbeat!

I am sorry that Don had to go through all that needless testing and expense when you knew perfectly well that it was just Bell's Palsy. I wonder if I need to get some potassium and start taking it. I used to take it when I had leg cramps. My only problem is when I take vitamins, it messes up my stomach. Couldn't even take them when I was pregnant.

Mama is improving slowly. It would help if all these doctors, who are not her neurosurgeon, would quit telling her these things. It only makes her worry all the more!

I try not to talk in circles either. There are times when you kinda have to but most times I don't.

I asked Mama if she has spoken with my aunt today. She hadn't. I encouraged her to call tomorrow even if it's just to compare notes.

Great photos of the luau. I couldn't get the Walmart site to open but will try again.

Try the WalMart link again. If it doesn't work, just go to the WalMart site and type in free samples in the search box. I get all kinds of free samples from their site. Just recently, I've gotten samples of cereal, dog food, goodnites (for my nephew), vitamin water flavoring mix, lots of femine products (perfect size for the purse) and paper towels (great for keeping in the car). The good thing is you dont' get a lot of junk mail after ordering the samples. By the way, the samples are changed out every week or two so keep checking their site.

Hey! Welcome to my trip report! I feel privileged that your first post was here with me. As you can see, we are a whole bunch of silly folks and we like to chat a lot. We have become fast friends. So...welcome friend!

Poor Brooke, she was just like Lacey. I felt so sorry for her. Thank goodness she has a good sense of humor.

Where will you guys be staying in May, 2010? We'd love to hear all about your plans. Opinions and support are what we do best!

Hey thanks for that Wal-Mart site. I'm bookmarking that! Will uses Goodnights, and they are expensive. Any I can get free is good for me! :)

There's another site called www.shop4freebies.com. They have a lot of samples on their site too. I sometimes get some junk email from them but I just delete it. It's not so much that it annoys me.

Here's the link: http://www.shop4freebies.com/category.php?cid=31

I just looked at their freebies and there are goodnites listed on there too. Watch the site pretty often because they change out the freebies.

*******HUNTER IS IMITATING THE TIKI GOD!!!*******

I like to play those games where you have to find the differences, this one jumped out at me!

Also - thanks for the links! :thumbsup2 Madi too uses goodnights!

Good morning Lisa. We are having rain. Now isn't that a surprise? I will tell you those Potassium pills make you sick. They are huge and he has to take one 3 times a day and stay up for 30 minutes after. They started him on 1 then 2 now 3. His last blood level is still low. But his Dr. here did think it had something to do with it. It was super low when they tested him at the time. He eats 2 bananas a day too. Only the ripe ones cause he has to leave the green ones for me.

Hope all is well with the family. We are all good for now. I reposted Austin's pep rally on fb. Straight from my computer this time. It is easier to watch. I wish the Dis would let you post from your computer instead of having to have a link.

Great luau report! I went to the luau at the Polynesian about 11ish years ago when my husband and I took his daughter, who was about 12 at the time. We really enjoyed the dancing. If there was a story line then, I don't remember it, but I recall lots of different styles of dancing and excellent performers. My husband is a choreographer/dance professor (ballet & some modern) so is very picky about dance performances, but he loved it!

We went to Hawaii last May and went to a luau at one of the bigger hotels, and in some ways I think it wasn't as cool as the one at Disney, though the dancers were fabulous and we got to eat fish cooked in an underground oven.

I'm glad your mother and BIL are doing better. Too bad that a lot of medical types like to "diagnose" things they aren't qualified for!

When I was so rudely interrupted by that thing called a boss (and I may get interrupted again if he comes back from lunch soon), I had just posted pictures of us with the Polyensian resort Tiki God. Since Lacey and John hadn't gotten a chance to look in the BouTiki, we went in to see if there was anything that they wanted. Ummm, not really, so we made our way back up the steps to the monorail station.

For those of you who read my last trip report, you'll remember that I am terrified of heights. For those of you who didn't....now you know. ;) Not scared of heights....terrified of heights. To get to the monorail station, you have to climb the stairs to the second floor. It's like a big square and you walk all around the sides of the square but can see straight down to the first floor. Why didn't I notice that when we came in? Probably because the adrenaline was pumping and I was in my "gotta find the luau" mode.

Anyway, I don't like the whole "I can see down an entire floor" situation at all! I pretty much kept myself plastered to the walls which was, at times hard to do because there were a few vendor thingies set up and I had to walk around them. And then, there was an open door I had to go around. I know people thought I was completely nuts but what did I care, they'd never see me again. Everybody else was walking right beside the railing. They were totally freaking me out!

We get to the monorail station and wait for just a few minutes before one comes along. We hop on and make our way around until we get to the Magic Kingdom. You'll remember that I told ya'll that we had watched Wishes from the beach, went in search of a bathroom, shopped (twice) and took pictures (twice). Add that time up and you'll get this.....Magic Kingdom closing time!:scared1::scared1::scared1:

We worked and wiggled and jiggled our way through all the people around the monorail station. Then, we worked and wiggled and jiggled our way through the sea of people trying to get to the various ferry boats.

You'll recall that Lacey hadn't been to Disney with us in three years so when she saw all the people waiting to get on the TTC ferry boat, she looked at me and said "Please don't tell me we have to get on that thing now!". She was remembering the days when we used to stay offsite and had to take the ferry to the TTC, then get on a tram and find our car. When I told her no, she literally jumped and said "Thank You God!". People looked at her like she was nuts. That seems to happen to us quite a bit.:rolleyes1

Eventually, all four of us were able to navigate our way through the hordes of people and to the CBR bus stop. The line snaked around three times. A CBR bus rolled up just as we got in line. The driver crammed as many people as she could on the bus and said another bus was on the way. She wasn't just whistling Dixie 'cause another bus turned the corner just as she was pulling off. This driver crammed as many people as he could on the bus and we were now in Row 1. That meant we'd get a seat on the next bus and wouldn't have to stand. We waited about 10 minutes and another CBR bus came and, yes, we did get a seat. We went all the way to the back. If you sit in the back of the bus, you're less likely to get your tootsie toes stepped on by the standing passengers. Just a tip I thought I'd pass along.

Very soon, we were back at the CBR. Lacey made her nightly trip to the courtyard or beach, maybe both, to call her Mission group of friends. When she came back, she told us that she had seen a snake in the courtyard. At first, she thought it was a stick but then is slithered into the shrubbery. She said it wasn't big. Yuck! I hate snakes!

While getting ready for bed, we talked about the Animal Kingdom and the luau. Once we were in the bed, it didn't take us, maybe, 2.2 seconds to fall asleep.

Sorry for the lack of pictures in this post but I posted them all last installment.

Tomorrow: Magic Kingdom!

I so remember that big open metal platform to stand on for the monorail at the Poly. I stayed inside till I saw my family getting on. Thank goodness it wasn't overly busy. But is was raining afterall. I thought that tikl shop was kinda cute. We found cute hats in there anyway.

Lisa, just for your information for next time...there is an elevator to the second floor at the Polynesian in the Ceremonial House. If you are coming in the front doors of the Polynesian, you would go to your right and it is toward the back windows on the right. :)

And I'm with you...I hate snakes.
