Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Great pictures Lisa. I am loving living vicariously through you to get me to my own trip in December. These Disboards have been a blessing!

I can't wait to see and hear about the luau! We're not doing it this go around, maybe next time, but I look forward to it!!! :thumbsup2

Lisa, you are a better person than me. I would have RANTED AND RAVED a long time ago if I had been treated like that by my niece. I don't blame you--let them call you. And I have often wondered WHY CAN'T WE DIVORCE FAMILY?

You know what's really weird....my side of the family has always always gotten along. I know that I can call anybody-anytime-anyplace and all of them would come running. I guess just the whole situation has everybody's nerves on the edge. But, still, my niece doesn't have to be a horse's behind!

If a person could divorce their family, I know that our law office would be overwhelmed with clients.;)

Hey Lisa, I have had a busy day too. I so remember making stupid corrections on papers that really don't change the meaning of it at all. I'm glad this Dr. isn't as picky as the other one. But he does have me on a mission of digging thru insurance co's and the percentages and crap. It doesn't allow me much dis time. I think I'm going to tell him I just can't do that much work in one day. I'll make him a deal. I'll do all the work I can in 2 hours then have a 3 hour break. Work an hour then 2 hour break. That should be pretty even. I will even skip lunch if necessary. I think he should accept that offer for sure.

Your mom may still improve somewhat in her droopy eye. I know it isn't related to the artery but the anesthesia can slow it down somewhat. I wish I could see a plastic surgeon about a lot of issues. Maybe they could give me a package deal.

I did post Alex's birthday yesterday. He turned 11. Sometime when you get a chance. All my babies are growing up and I'm not liking it one bit.

Isn't that little princess on Allan's last post cuter than a bug?

Ginny
I hate that about your sister's niece. Welcome to my family. I think I have said that before that it is a package deal you get with family. Sometimes you just don't want to open it.

I think a lot of "professionals" i.e. doctors, lawyers and such like to make unnecessary changes just because they think it is keeping their employees "busy". Well, I've got busy times 10 and I certainly don't need to be making stupid changes to something that doesn't matter.

If your boss goes for your proposed schedule, please let me know how you worded the proposal. I want to try that on my boss too!

Mama's eye doctor has been telling her for years that she should have plastic surgery done on her eyes. He even told her that he could get her insurance to pay for it because it was hindering her eyesight. We joked with the surgeon who did her artery surgery when he told us he had done plastic surgery before. We told him we would draw black lines on Mama's face and eyes where she wanted work done and he could do it while she was under.

I love your package deal quote. I'm taking it from you!

I do know exactly what you mean but like you say when you are covered up busy he should be worrying about things other than commas. :confused3 We are now officially 1 hour and 25 minutes behind schedule. I just thought I might be done by 5:30. We still have 5 patients to see. GRR. It's a good thing I have no plans tonite.

Did you get out of the office before midnight?

Yep, I have a pre-trip report started here! The Return of the Wizard and the Cheerful Dwarf

For me, half of the fun of taking a trip is the planning and anticipation. A few years ago I got into a 6-week summer writing workshop that I had thought was a long shot. I was really excited! When the schedule came out and there was a group dinner the first night with a link to the restaurant website, of course the first thing I did was go to the website and think about what I might have for dinner. It occurred to me that this was a little silly since the workshop was still over a month away and the restaurant wasn't really anything special, but it gave me an outlet for some of my excitement and anticipation to imagine having dinner with all these fabulous writers I had yet to meet. Visiting this board is a lot like that--gives me an outlet to bounce off the walls a little bit in anticipation of my trip! :rotfl:

I came over yesterday and started reading. I am having a hard time catching up on all my reading. I'm gonna though!

Not to sound alarmist or anything, but has the doctor ruled out the possibility of a stroke? If the droopiness of the eye and mouth are on the same side, with the dizziness, it could be a sign of a stroke coming on, or possibly having had a mini-stroke. Does she have other problems on that side of her body, like raising her arm? My grandmother had a mild stroke right after having her corotid artery cleared out, and occasionally that can be a side effect of more blood flow. I'm not a medical person so I don't really know what I'm talking about, but maybe something to ask the doctor. My dad had a massive stroke 17 years ago so I'm maybe a little paranoid about stroke-like symptoms.

Here's a link to a website with stroke info: http://www.stroke.org/site/PageServer?pagename=symp

Don't worry about sounding like an alarmist. You have plenty of reason to be a worrier (is that a word?) when it comes to stroke symptoms. We have already thought of that. They don't think she's had a stroke or on the verge of having a stroke. They said that this is pretty normal when working around the nerves in the neck. The doctor told her yesterday that he may have even nicked the nerve a little which wouldn't be uncommon since it's a small area they are working in.

I have to tell you something cute.
This week is fire safety week and Claire has been learning about it at school and we went to the firestation for a field trip today. Well on Monday she was telling me things about fire saftey and she told me to never play with "Matresses". LOL!:rotfl2:

Kids always say the cutest things! She may have not gotten the words right but you can tell she was paying attention.:thumbsup2

I use snapfish, they are good. But they and several other places/sites do add sharpening or color to your pics. Yo ucan turn it off if you wish, which I do. Some like it, but I edit my pics before I load them, so it just messes them up then.
there are several sites that have free photos 25-50 when you sign up. Be aware that some have a time limit to use those free ones up. Usually in a month. Clarkcolor and Yorkphoto are owned by snapfish and also have promotions. I think York is the cheapest one of the 3. but they are all the exact same. Adorama has nice pics and I think you get 50 free with them. Also places like CVS, Walgreens and shutterfly. I have more than one account with some of them with different email addresses.

Thanks for the information! I just got an email from TripAdvisor and they had a promo where you could write a review and receive a free photobook. Of course, I wrote a review. They are supposed to send me a code for the free photobook.

Hi Lisa! I am so glad I found your TR(better late..very late...than never)! You were kind enough to read my trip report back in May, so I was so happy to see you and your family in your great TR! I have gotten though the first 27 pages so far, and my eyes are getting a little blurry! I was supposed to be having shower, gettting my laundry done and a few other things, but I got pulled into your trip report and I have been reading for 3 hours!:surfweb: I can't wait to continue reading!

I was going to mention that your daughter reminds me of Kirsten Dunst, but I see someone else beat me to it! I will be heading back to WDW in January staying at BWI. Your review and pics of TREX has made me decide we MUST go there this time! If you recall from my TR, we ended up canceling our ADR there. We will be sure to get there in January!

Looking forward to reading more!

Hey! Sorry I blurred your vision but at least you've had fun reading so far. Don't you just hate it when housework gets in the way of Dis fun.

Lacey has been told she looks like Kirsten Dunst before. Also a few other celebrities. We told her this trip, she looked like Audrey off of the first Vacation movie. Well, not close up but when you see her hair and sunglasses.

I do remember you saying you canceled your T-Rex ADR. I think it was worth every cent. The atmosphere was great and the food was good!

I bet that is an offer he can and will refuse. Sounds good on paper.

We have used that package deal many times with some family members (who aren't anymore) So I guess it works.

I actually got out at 6:15. Made leftover taco salad for dinner. It has been raining since 7 last night. We are to get up to 6 inches. I'm sorta hoping it floods that low spot I drive by everyday. People do amazing things with it and I would love to get some pix.

One year two guys stood on a big piece of styrofoam with brooms and fought till one fell off. The year before someone had put a Loch Ness monster heading west and the next day heading east. And last year was the best. A guy was on a boogie board being pulled by a truck on the street.

Ginny

That IS so funny! Kids say the cutest things, don't they?

Lisa: Sorry to hear that your family is not being very thoughtful when it comes to you and your mother needing to know how BIL is doing. I understand they are busy, most likely, but a short phone call or having someone else make a short phone call, wouldn't kill them. I hope that BIL continues to make progress in getting better.

Sorry you've been so busy lately. I was pretty slammed myself, yesterday, and hoping for a quieter day. Doesn't seem likely, so far. Phones and people all day, no peace and quiet whatsoever. Some days I deal better than others. Yesterday? Not so well. And the people who stop and ask me the nine million questions are not even asking me things that are related to what I do. Am I the information desk in this place? No. But I must look very smart b/c people keep asking me questions! :headache:

I hope you have a better day today and I hope your family knows what a jewel they have in you. They better start appreciating you or they're gonna regret it one day.

As of last night, I had pretty much washed my hands of the whole situation. I told Mama that I won't be calling them anymore. They know where I am. They know I am here if they need them. They know how to get in touch with me. If they want me to know something, they can call. I spoke with my other sister on the way home from work yesterday and she feels the exact same way. If anyone complains about us not calling, we are ready to tell them to kiss our lily white bleeps.

I say all that but it doesn't mean that I am not concerned. I still care. I'm just not running them down to find out what is going on.

Don't you just hate it when people stop by to ask questions that you aren't even supposed to know the answers to! We are right near the courthouse and I have at least one person a day stop and ask directions. Then, I have people who call and ask for other attorney's phone numbers. Did you just look up our phone number? Look up the person's number you really want!

Thanks for calling me a jewel! Right back at ya! It's so nice to have supportive friends.:grouphug:

Loving the update so far! Great Lion King pictures - I feel like I'm right there! And yes, I can hear the tune...:rolleyes1

I sang the "can you feel the love tonight?" song in my head while I was posting the pictures. Thank goodness I wasn't singing out loud because it would have scared everybody away. Wait a minute......maybe I do need to sing outloud so the boss would go home early.:lmao:

As always, great pics Lisa. We've never done Lion King or Nemo and they are both high on my list for our next visit.

You really need to see the Festival of the Lion King show. It is absolutely fantastic. Nemo.....I can live without it. But, a lot of people love the Nemo show.

Oh, and I'm really looking forward to hearing about the luau! :cool1:

The luau was a little cheesy but fun. I hope to be posting that installment soon.

Great Lion King!! photos (did you know that sometime during your stay they found two snakes in the Lion King theatre--they were under the bleachers--now I do not remember what date it was...I just remember reading it and thinking I hope Lisa and her family were not there! for that choas, one of the performers had seen them while performing--they had to clear the theatre to capture the critters, I had forgot aobut that until I saw your pics)

Good for John with the busses...I don't know why I don't care for the run after the busses either! :confused3 you look like you are in a huge city and in a great big hurry instead of on vacation (I think that's it)

I can not wait to here about the Lauau!! what fun to go to a lauau at Disney!!!!
:wave2:

If I had seen a snake in the Lion King theater, I would have passed out! I am simply terrified of snakes as is John.

John just can't stand it when he sees somebody running for the bus. Says it looks stupid.

I love the update! I love the Lion King too. You got some great shots. I love the one of the 3 monkeys sitting. That is super cool.

I wanted to tell you another site to lad pics for posting is picture trail. I think you can only load like 20 before you have to pay, it may be more, but it's been a few years since I went there, but at least theres another spot to load pics for free. I know it doesn't have problems as I have had those pics I loaded on there for 3 years and they still show up. I've also used imagesahck, but that site really sucks. Half the time the pictures just stop working. I am trying to post my TR on Intercot and right now I am at the spot where I loaded to imageshack, and I have to keep going back and redoing pics, because they no longer are working. It's just a blank spot. How frustrating.

I was having problems with my camera during the show and, of course, when it was working, I was messing around with the settings. John says that is why the camera eventually shut down. Told him that was not the reason!

I liked the one with the sitting tumble monkey one too.

Thanks for giving me so many tips on getting my pictures printed. I have lots of people asking to see them and I really need to get them printed.

I'm not fond of the way you have to post pictures over on Intercot. I'd rather actually see the pictures rather than click on a link. But, at least you are able to share pictures.

Great Lion King Photo's!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I had tons more but didn't want to bore ya'll with more.

I'm with you: people calling ME to get someone else's number. Hello? if you found me, why couldn't you look for the person you were trying to call? And I've had people ask me for telephone numbers for different states and get mad b/c I didn't know. I'm not the telephone directory!

Good to know it's like that everywhere. We sure complain about it enough here!

Oh, and I wanted to say, I absolutely know you still care. No doubts there. I don't blame you for not wanting to track them down and risk getting insulted by asking. And if your other sister feels the same way, then you know there is good reason to have the reaction you are having. Couldn't think of the right words here - hope that made sense.

I was singing "it's a problem free - philosphy - acuta mitata!" Wait. Is that right? Acuta Mitata? :confused3

Great pictures of FOTLK!! The show looks like so much fun!!! Can you believe we still haven't made it to that show.:sad2: What is wrong with us?:rotfl: Hopefully next time.....

Can't wait to hear about the Luau!! I would love to try either the Luau or the Hoop Dee-Doo Revue next trip.

Whaaaat? You haven't seen the Lion King show yet? You have to see it next time. I think your boys would love it.

I so wanted to see Lion King in May and did not get the chance. I love the pictures but I'm not sure how you missed this one.

Thanks for allowing me to tag along.

It was a little scary but I made it thru. I just kept thinking I'm doing this for Hunter, I'm doing this for Hunter. I knew he would like it.

Oh Ginny! You're such a nutcase and we love you for it!

Great pictures Lisa. I am loving living vicariously through you to get me to my own trip in December. These Disboards have been a blessing!

Honey, I am always saying that trip reports and pictures are what keep me sane until my next Disney trip! Thank goodness for the Disboards!

December will be here before you know it and you'll be writing a trip report for us to enjoy.

Notice how I always look the same. I never age or change my clothes. But you must remember I was in a suitcase so I didn't get to bring much. Next time save more room for me.

Ginny

Ummm, taco salad sounds good. I actually thought about making homemade tacos for dinner. Now, I know that's definitely what we are having.

You have to take pictures if somebody does something silly on the low spot. I'd love to see them.

We are supposed to have more flooding tomorrow too. They have changed up several high school football games because of the flooding threat. I'm sick of the rain!

I'm with you: people calling ME to get someone else's number. Hello? if you found me, why couldn't you look for the person you were trying to call? And I've had people ask me for telephone numbers for different states and get mad b/c I didn't know. I'm not the telephone directory!

Yep, there are nut jobs everywhere. At least you and I know we are not alone.

You put the words down perfectly. I knew exactly what you were trying to say.

I was singing "it's a problem free - philosphy - acuta mitata!" Wait. Is that right? Acuta Mitata? :confused3

Now, I'm singing that song in my head. It's okay though 'cause I was getting tired of can you feel the love tonight.:thumbsup2
