Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

It only took me 4 days, and a lot of chatter skipping in between, but I finally caught up!

Not really any comments as normal, just not that talkative a guy, but I do hope that mama is still doing well and things are going much better for you this week.

Also, have to comment on Lacey's eyes in the pre-ITtbAB pic, they look amazing there (the goofy face one).

Everything else looks great, even the "not so great" pictures really help tell the story :).

As far as AK and heat. Yes. We were there last Tuesday and could only spent half the day. I had let the girls sleep in until 9:30ish and we didn't get there until 11 or so, but by 4:30 we were exhausted, irritated, and just plain ready to head out. It's amazing at the amount of stuff we missed though (more excuse for next trip!).

At least next time, we're planning a Feb trip, so that should make temps a bit easier to deal with and we should be able to see considerably more (Emily will be just about 4 by then too, so much less lugging of stuff around).

Hope the rest of the day goes well with everyone here (there's a reason that Lisa's TRs are great, and it's not just her ;))

Testing to see if my old photobucket account is back up and running yet:

Shoot! I'll be glad when my first account works again because those pictures are in order. Okay, be back in a little bit after I log onto account number three.

Don't ask where I've been that I missed your update yesterday. I really have no excuse. I'm a bad dissister.

I love Chester's and Hester's for one reason. Can you say Air Conditioning? After standing out in that heat it is a real haven. There were 4 people on ECV's while we were there. All of them trying to block the door so they could feel some cool air. Everyone had to walk around and use the other door. I felt sorry for them but around the corner was a real nice shady spot that was way better. No cool air but no sun either.

Have a good rest of your day

Ginny

Finally caught up! First, I'm so glad your Mom is doing well. That is wonderful news. Your TR continues to be absolutely wonderful! It's so much fun to read it!!

I'm also excited about the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day promotion for next year. I already made a calendar reminder for myself for January 1 or 2 to check on what organizations are on the "approved" list in our area so we can find something we can do as a family. DH and our girls will be out of school for a week in February, so I can take a day off and we can all go do something great for our community together. I'm still planning to talk DH into going to MVMCP next year but it was just going to be a quick weekend trip since he can't take any time off during basketball season (he's a coach), so this way the girls and I can go down and go to the party on a Friday night, DH can drive down after school/practice, and we can all have a park day together on Saturday and come home on Sunday. A quick trip, but it's still a trip to WDW!!

Hi Lisa! Great updates! I can't take a day off from your TR..I miss way too much!

Sorry about the Nemo show. I had the same fears about not knowing who to look at too, but I figured out that I watched both equally. I loved that the actors were able to get across the emotions on their own faces as well as with the puppets. To each their own I guess!

MMMMM...Mickey bars! :mickeybar If it wasn't so darn cold up here I would want one now!!

We rode PW for the first time this trip. I was disappointed that it didn't spin more! I did like it though...except my old body didn't like all the jerking! LOL!

We loved that gift shop. My boys did some pin trading with a very cool CM there. :thumbsup2

Please forgive me for my absence. Life just keep intruding on my DIS time, darnit! Sorry :flower3:

Great updates (as usual)!

Wonderful pictures of the ToL - we soooo have to pay more attention to that next time! Interestingly, the Nemo show wasn't even on my plan at all - which is odd because we, too, love the movie :confused3 What's up with that? Maybe it's a Lisa thing :rotfl:

You know, I didn't ride PW because I was afraid of the spinning (I am SO NOT a spin-friendly girl lol), but now I'm thinking about it for next time due to your description... Your cold treats sound delicious (particularly the pineapple bar!). Yeah, so what is Mrs. Huxtable doing there, anyway?! :rotfl2:

Your boss really needs to step away from interrupting this TR - doesn't he know you have many readers who love your report?! :dance3:

Lisa - your detailed write up on CBR that you posted to Connie's PTR is great! Thank you for sharing it!!! :thumbsup2

Good morning Lisa. Have a great weekend. Is your mom doing better?

I posted a little tribute to Austins birthday yesterday. I don't know if you made it over or not.

Ginny

The Finding Nemo show holds no interest for me even though I haven't seen it yet. DH wants to make sure we see the Lion King show though.

I do not like Primeval Whirl. The jerkiness of the ride hurts my neck. So does the Dinosaur ride. And EE, and...I guess I'm just getting to old for rides.

I know that we won't be working the Nemo show into our Animal Kingdom day next year. I've given it two tries and still don't care for it.

I have some Festival of the Lion King pictures and will be posting those soon. We never miss the show.

Lordy mercy! Don't you know you can never admit you're getting too old!

Sweet Minerva, I'm at DW for a week (OK, it's been like 10-11 days since I read your thread), and there have been like 15 pages added!!!
:eek::eek::eek:

It took me a couple of hours of reading (and eating dinner and getting my son dinner and getting my son to take a bath and getting my son to bed and taking my wife's dog out) to read it all!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OK, looking good so far.

Glad to hear your mom is doing OK, Lisa.

Welcome home! So when can we expect a trip report? You know good and well, we want to read all about it.

Mama is doing better. Still has a little dizziness now and then. Thanks for asking.

Love your update. You do know that Mrs Huxtable's first name is claire? LOL! Just thought I'd throw that one in.

I also thought I would throw in a few pics of Lick-a-buses I took in August when we went to the Fort Waynes Childrens zoo. claire got to feed one. She wasa very fascinated by that.

Jen,

You're pictures are always so good. I think my favorite is the one with the tongue out.

By the way, speaking of pictures....do you have any pictures of your new niece? We would love to see them.

Enjoyed your last update. Can't wait to see how your dinosaur ride went!

I am hoping to get an update posted today. It will include a really cute Dinosaur picture!

It only took me 4 days, and a lot of chatter skipping in between, but I finally caught up!

Yep, we do like to chatter don't we.

Mama is doing lots better, thanks so much for asking.

Lacey's eyes are the prettiest blue. They just pop!

I always like to throw in pictures that aren't that great because, like you said, they still help tell the story. Just not in a good picture way.;)

I hate that you didn't get to spend a lot of time at Animal Kingdom because of the heat. We usually get there early and leave early.

I remember the day of lugging around lots of little kid stuff. It was exhausting! By February, you should be less of a pack mule.:lmao:

I agree that my reports are made special by all of the readers. As a group and as individuals, they are a great bunch of people!

We encountered a lot of people just standing in doorways to soak up the air conditioning. Like you said, I don't mind them coming in for the air but get the heck out of the doorway.

I think the promotion is pretty cool myself. Did you know that you can sign up for a reminder on the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day site? I did that and they sent me an email the next day. I am supposed to get another reminder around the start of the promotion.

I wish there was somewhere nearby that our family could take advantage of the promotion. Lacey and her group are really excited about it because it looks like there will be some places in Atlanta where they can give their time.

Don't worry about missing some updates. I always find myself getting behind but try to catch up with my subscribed reports every two or three days.

I guess I am just not going to "get" the Nemo show at Animal Kingdom. But, I am glad that there are so many people who do. Like you said, to each their own.

I could go for a Mickey bar right now. It's not even lunch time and my tummy is already rumbling.

We spun around quite a bit on Primeval Whirl. I think what made it so fun was we were all squealing and giggling and just having a good time together.

The gift shop is really neat. There used to be a corner of the store that had clearance items in it but not this go round.

Please forgive me for my absence. Life just keep intruding on my DIS time, darnit! Sorry :flower3:

I know what you mean about life getting in the way of doing the Dis. Frustrates the poop out of me!

I could walk around Tree of Life for a good hour just looking at the carvings and taking pictures.

If you haven't seen the Nemo show yet, I'd encourage you to do so. I've heard a lot more people say they like it than people saying they didn't. I guess I'm just in the minority.

Primeval Whirl was really fun and that comes from somebody who is terrified of heights. I just closed my eyes during the scary parts.;)

The boss is away in court out of town today so I am able to catch up on my replies to posts. I am hoping that I can get an update posted later on.

Lisa - your detailed write up on CBR that you posted to Connie's PTR is great! Thank you for sharing it!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I have sent it to several people who said it really helped them out. I wish I had of had it when I was planning our first stay at the CBR,

Good Morning, Lisa! Happy Friday!!!! :goodvibes

Morning to you too Mel! I have just over 45 minutes left of my work day. I haven't done spit today....just pretty much caught up on trip report. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing because now Monday will be all about getting caught up.

Good morning Lisa. Have a great weekend. Is your mom doing better?

I posted a little tribute to Austins birthday yesterday. I don't know if you made it over or not.

Ginny

Hey Ginny!

Mama is doing better. She was a little dizzy today and her chin was tingling. I keep reminding her that it's only be a week and a day since she had surgery.

I didn't get over to your thread yesterday because work was pretty busy. I did post today and told you to give Austin a belated birthday hug for me. He's never too old for a hug!

Welcome home! So when can we expect a trip report? You know good and well, we want to read all about it.

Mama is doing better. Still has a little dizziness now and then. Thanks for asking.

Well, I planned on starting one Wednesday or Thursday....

Its Friday, and I can't seem to find my trip report....

Oh, yeah, that's right, I haven't started it yet!
:scared1:

I have zero ambition, still not feeling all that good, and my wife and I are going away this weekend again, so gotta do some things before that...

So, looking like next week...

Sorry. I will get it, I promise!!!
:thumbsup2
