Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

LOL! Wasn't it Sha nay-nay (sp?) Thats exactly what I was thinking too when I read about it and the name. LOL!

:rotfl: YES! And she thought she was soooo hot, but people couldn't stand to look at her, and she was dumb as all get-out!

I'm coming back in a minute to respond to everybody. My McDonald's guy was Shontrell.

The Shanaynay ya'll are talking about was a character that Martin Lawrence used to do. We loved watching Martin Lawrence.

Maybe you can keep checking online just in case something becomes available. If not, you might luck up and get an ADR by phone when you're in Disney.

By the way, when can we expect a pre-trip report?

Yep, I'll just have to keep checking! :thumbsup2

I thought about starting a PTR but I've never done one before, just TR's. I'm not sure that my life is all that interesting and exciting (like yours is!) to keep people reading for the next 2 months! :rotfl:

Good afternoon Lisa. I've had a really busy morning and just went to lunch with Sheri. I bought her a new laptop this morning for her birthday present. She was so excited. Plans are all set for tomorrow and Wednesday. So we'll see how that pans out.

Hope you are having a good day at work. It is another beautiful day in the ozarks.

Ginny

You're right! Jamie Foxx's character was Wanda. Here's Shanaynay:

Woo hoo, almost time for the parks!!

Great DTD pics. I love shopping in Disney. :thumbsup2

I love Downtown Disney too. For many many years, we didn't go there. But, every since we went, we were hooked.

I wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your trip report. We are staying at CBR in December and I love all your pictures of the resort. Thanks for posting them.

Thanks! I think you're going to fall in love with the CBR just like we did. I have more pictures coming up in my next installment.

I too am with Hunter - you guys go ahead and figure out where we're going - then let me know!

WOOHOO - bring on Epcot!!!

I know we looked silly just wandering around. And, then we got tickled and we really looked silly.

I'm loving your report :)

TREX looks great, I have to take my dinosaur lovin' kids there!

I have never been a big dino lover but Hunter was when he was little. All of us thought it was a great themed restaurant.

All caught up! Great TR so far. I always thought the viola was cool, but I stink at string instruments, the bassoon was for me!

I was laughing at your McDonald's story & totally imagined Shavonda (was that her name?) to look like this:
jamie-foxx-wanda-300x296.jpg

Remember Jamie Foxx on "In Living Color"? :happytv:

Love your room too!

What was in T-Rex'splace before T-Rex was there? My MIL says the dinosaur used to shoot flames, but seeing as how she's not been there since it opened, maybe she has it confused with something that was there before?:confused3

The Jamie Foxx character is too funny!

I don't remember there being much of anything in the spot where T-Rex is now but I may be wrong.

Great Update!!:thumbsup2 Love all your pictures in DTD!! Can't wait to hear about Epcot!!:goodvibes

Well Ms. Thing, when are you going to start a report? :rolleyes1 You know we wanna know all the details!

Your report of TRex was great so we now have a ressie for lunch on our arrival day! Looking forward to more!

Yeah! I think you'll really like the place.

We used to love watching the Martin Lawrence show. Can't remember what it was called.

I know that I'd like to read all about your planning. You have two cute little boys and you and your hubby are sweet couple. I'm sure that with all of my chatter and my Disboard friends' chatter, we couldmake those 2 months pass by.;)

You are such a sweetheart! I bet Sheri was excited. I would be if I got a new laptop.

I've been busy here at work too. Billing used to go out on the 15th of every month. Now, it keeps slipping further and further into the month. Lawyers have to keep track of each and every thing they do (bar association regulations). He dictates every time he gets on the phone, every time he types something, every time he takes a call, every time he sneezes...okay so the sneeze part is an exaggeration. But, he dictates it all. I type it up. He looks at it and then I type it all again into the bookkeeping system.

The legal business picks up around holidays, Summer and back to school time. Oh, and tax time. Right now, business is booming. Meaning, billing has gotten behind again. I've kind of in the frame of mind that when it goes out, it goes out.

Ginny, It's funny that you mention it's a beautiful day in the Ozarks. I have been trying to talk John into going camping this weekend. It's a long weekend and I'd so love to go to Lake Ouachita in Hot Springs. He said it's still too hot.

I'm doing some hard thinkin' about next year's vacation. My boss will let me take a Thursday and a Friday (we close at lunch anyway) and then the following week. We originally wanted to start our drive on May 26th meaning we'd be in Disney May 27th through June 5th.

Well, Memorial Day, 2010 is on a Tuesday and we'd be closed anyway. I'm wondering if I can sneak in that Wednesday too. If I could, then we could have all day on Tuesday to drive thus getting more miles under our belt. Then, on Wednesday, we could arrive early and laze around the resort. I am sooooo liking this idea. I wonder if the boss would go for it. :confused3 I've gotta catch him when he's in a really really happy mood!

Heck, at least I'm gonna ask. His prior secretaries just didn't show up for work or quit without telling him. And, I've never taken a day off work in over a year.

John is supposed to do some work at his house so maybe I can even get John to throw the idea out there.

I'm going home tonight to ask John if we should go ahead and book that extra day or wait.

Me thinks I have a plan.........:rolleyes1

hate to mess with the planning, but Memorial Day is always on a Monday

Hi, I'm coming out of lurkdom too. Your TR's appear to do that!!:thumbsup2 I'm from around Hot Springs, and it seems pretty chilly to us. HAHA. The highs are only in the mid 80's and the lows in the low 60's. Yesterday was 58! I bet at the lake in the mountains it would be a little cooler. In 2000, it was 108 degrees today. I have followed over from your 2008 trip report. Love your writing style. Following the trip reports, I have finally decided it's time to plan another trip to WDW! We haven't been since 2007 to WDW but went to DL in 2008. I'm not sure that my DH will come, but my 17 & 16 yr old sons want to go as much as me. We are planning on going about the same time as you. But we like the All Star Sports. More money on fun stuff like tours and Bass Fishing Excursions! Thanks for luring me out of lurkdom. :cool1: Dawn

you are correct it is always celebrated on a Monday!! that was when we went this past year...
found this...
May 31 2009 Memorial Day http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/?year=2010
but that can still work in your favor just a little more rearranging...:wave2:

Hello from hot springs your weather sounds like ours right now, I bet the air is crisper though:wave2:

If I were to camp I would go around Hot Springs. It is gorgeous there. Probably not a forever drive for you is it? You can come to Branson. Our high today was 72. It is to be in the low 80's by the weekend.

I see Connie set you straight on Memorial Day. Darn. It was a good plan. Maybe you can convince him something different. I had a boss I could tell him anything and he wouldl believe it. I have an excellent story for Dana. I'll blurt it out one of these days. My day actually was way better than I expected. He ended up being in a good mood. He said call was not so bad. He got no calls in the night Sat or Sun. Generally that is when the hospital does their best calling.

We have no plans this weekend. Next weekend is Don's family reunion. Ugg. They are boring. But I being the good wife will attend. We leave early Saturday morning and spend the day in the heat. Spend the night and get up and come home on Sunday. The following week is the surprise party for Don's Mom. That will be fun. Sandi is coming over for that and that will be good. The next weekend is my Mom's birthday. I have no idea what we will do. And the following week is Austin's birthday then Alex's. Busy busy. That means presents everywhere. I may have refigure my budget.

Have a pleasant evening.

Ginny

Hi Dawn!

I'm so very glad that you decided to come on board with all of us! I told John it wouldn't be hot in Hot Springs. Maybe I need t let him read your post.

We absolutely love going to Lake Ouachita State Park. We've gone so many times, we even know which campsite number we want. To me there's nothing better (with the exception of Disney) than lying in your tent and listening to all of the sounds around you. I absolutely love it.

My former brother in law owns part of an SUV park/campground near Hot Springs. We are still on very good terms and still consider him family. He keeps telling us that he can get us passes to camp all we have to do is call. But, I just can't seem to want to go anywhere but Lake Ouachita.

Heck yeah, you need to plan another trip to Disney. John loves Disney just as much as I do but he probably wouldn't admit it if you asked. :rotfl:

I think we're probably going to do one of the tours this year. We are a bit limited to which ones because of Hunter's age. I can't wait until he turns 16 so we can do the "big" tours.

Again, thanks so much for along on our Disney vacation.

We can leave our house, drive to Disney and have our tent set up in 4 1/2 hours. It's well worth the drive to us because here we have just a lake. In Hot Springs, you have a lake AND mountains! I hate to say it but it'll be quite a while before I go back to Branson. That place was a madhouse and it cost us a ton of money. And people fuss about Disney's prices. Yeah, you can get a room for next to nothin' in Branson but you pay out the behind to do anything.

Yep, I've been set straight on the whole Memorial Day deal. But, still, it's okay because I'll have all day Monday to get my Disney stuff together. Or, we can just sleep in and rest up.

I wish I could tell my boss just about anything and he'd believe it. We have a court docket/schedule on each of our desks so it's right there in front of us. We just don't have 2010 yet.

I'm glad your day was better than you expected. It's always nice to be better and not worse!

So far, we have no plans for the weekend. If it were up to John, we'd stay at home all the time. He is perfectly content to do nothing. I am always telling him that he needs to get out and about.

Hunter and Lacey are just like me. They like to plan outings like their mama. Yesterday evening, we were swinging on the porch while Hunter played in the mud. Yes, the mud. He had the waterhose out and made a huge mudhole where the swimming pool used to be. First, he sat in it. Then, he covered his legs with mud. I told him to just have fun and the next thing I new, he was rolling in it. Simple pleasures.

Anyway, while he was playing in the water (pre-mudhole), he said "I wish we could go to that place in Texas." When we asked what place, he said he didn't know. We finally figured out that it was the huge flea market in Canton, Texas. See, I told you he liked to plan outings.

I may be able to find something for us to do this weekend. It may be nothing but to drive over to Shreveport. I don't know. I just don't like sitting around the house. Makes me feel a little guilty because I know I should get up and sweep, mop, wash clothes, dust, etc. etc. etc.

I feel for you having to go to the famly reunion. John's side has a family reunion every year around July 4th. I know only a few of the people and they are all grumpy boring folks. Each family sits at their own table. Nobody mingles and mixes. Years ago, I told John I was done going there. He said he was glad I finally said something because he didn't want to go either.:woohoo:

On my side of the family, we get to whooping and hollering and laughing. We're fun! Except for my fussy old brother-in-law who hardly ever comes to anything anyway.

Once you get the famly reunion over with, it sounds like you'll have a fun couple of weekends.
