Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Hi Lisa,

Wow!! I was away for a week at Disney:woohoo:, but now I'm 15 pages behind on your report. Just wanted to let you know I'm here and catching up.:goodvibes I'll be back to read some more and comment later. Can't wait!!popcorn::

I've been doing alot of cleanin in my house. I decided I needed to get rid of things and make more room and organiztion for the zillions of toys we have. LOL! Anywyas in my cleaning process I came across out 20 questions game. LOL! Wasn't even looking for it, and honestly I thought it got tossed out a long time ago.
I can't beleive how much junk I have! I am cleaning the basements storage room out now (well started last night). I threw away so much stuff. I don;t know why the heck I ever even saved it. It just got ruined and dirty in that room anyways. But here is a cool find. I found 4 cruise VHS's and one Disney VHS's all preplanning ones. Not sure which years, but it will be fund to watch them. Especially the Disney World one. I used to have a ton of the Disney World ones, but I thought I threw them all out. I'm sure it's from the 2000's, but stil lcool. I used to have ones from the 90's back when my older two were small. I would love to watch those again. I KNOW I got rid of them though.
Right now my house is such a mess...it's that thing where you have to make a big mess to get it clean! LOL!

Hunter's viola came in. Yeah! I was beginning to worry because he has to bring it to school on Monday. We are going to pick it up tomorrow morning.

Good morning Lisa,

Good luck on the Viola. Alex had tryouts yesterday. He went for drums but Sandi said she doubts he makes it. His other choice was trombone but he was having a hard time making it buzz, and then flute and Tim adamant about him not playing flute. We'll see if he does band or not.

Good luck Hunter. I want to see pictures. Then make us a you-tube video.

Ginny

:surfweb: Still desperately trying to catch up :sad1:, every time I sign off and come back there are 3 or 4 more pages :scared1:. You need a cliff note version for those of us who get so far behind :lmao:.

I hope Hunter likes the viola, Dallas doesn't seem interested in playing an instrument right now. I hope when he is he wants to play guitar, because Amanda has an electric and acoustic guitar we can use and it won't cost me anything :thumbsup2.

I just noticed your avatar. Is that a countdown calendar I see behind you? I also saw that you are from Georgia. My daughter goes to college in Cleveland, Georgia.

Yes, that is my first ever countdown calendar-gotta love Home Depot!:lmao:

This my DD and my DN with it.

We get to start the countdown Monday!!

We live in Effingham which is about 20 miles from Savannah.

Great TR! I just made it through all 23 pages. Sorry, but I couldn't read all the posts, but I did read all your updates.

Too funny about McD's in Vicksburg. How horrible about the accident you witnessed, I had tears in my eyes reading it. How fun to surprise your kids with CBR. We stayed there a few years back and loved it. We were in Jamaica, just across the bridge.

We were able to surprise my DD 2 years ago with the surprise of her cousin (my DNiece24) joining us 1/2 way through our trip. We returned back to our room after going to Busch Gardens (inc. with Discovery Cove) for the day to her already being in our room. I had her on the phone at the time talking to her and saying how nice it would have been if she could have joined us! It was perfect! She was so excited that Shelley joined us!

Great review of TRex. It's not one of the places we're going this year but I loved reading about it. Can't wait to read about your first day in one of the parks.

Staying tuned.....

OK, all caught up now. I love all your pictures, especially of the ones from the road. Don't you just love seeing all those Disney road signs?

CBR looks really nice. We've never stayed there before so it's always cool seeing pics of all the different resorts.

I'm back and finally caught up...whew!!:thumbsup2

First off, I want to tell you how sorry I am that you witnessed such a horrific accident. I'm so glad that Hunter was occupied and didn't see it. How very sad.:sad2:

But I was so happy to hear how excited Hunter and Lacey were to be staying at CBR!!:yay: What a great surprise!! I love all your room pictures!!! We are considering CBR for next year's vacation and your pictures are very convincing!!:thumbsup2

Great review of T-Rex!!!Although, we didn't eat there in April--we did go in and look around. It was very cool inside!! The boys loved it, especially my youngest.:goodvibes

Can't wait for more.popcorn::

Sorry I haven't posted today. John is trying to finish up a cabinet job and I had to help load cabinet doors and equipment early this morning. Then, later this evening, we had to unload his equipment. The lady has decided she wants John to rework some doors in her utility room. I love it when they do that because it adds to the money we quoted earlier.

In between helping John, we picked up Hunter's viola. The boy has never had one lesson and has picked up a viola exactly twice. He must have an ear for it because he can already play Mary Had A Little Lamb and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I was sooooo afraid that I'd be hearing noises that sounded like screaming cats.:rotfl:

And, then, while John was shaving, we talked about our resort for our 2010 stay. It's been officially decided.......we're going back to the CBR. Right now, I am booking a standard room. If a good promo comes out, we may change to a pirate room.

So, we've been busy today. I hope to reply to everybody tomorrow as it's 10:15 p.m. already.

I can't believe you are up soooo late... Ashton & I are getting ready to hit the hay! He has been up since 7:30 am with no naps.

Dayne & I were discussing his sr trip! he has two other boys and needs one more! I'm hoping they come out with the 4/3 deal again this year! that would be awesome. I told him now you don't need to come with us and we can go back at the end of Jan. he said no he wants an AP!

Gwendolyn has an ear for music, she just sat at a piano and started playing...
I'm happy Hunter has the ear; makes it a lot nicer for you and John!

Have a great Sunday! :wave2:

If playing mind games on yourself works, then why not? I've already figured myself out, so it doesn't work on me anymore. :lmao:

I can make my silly self believe almost anything.:lmao:

Hey Lisa! :goodvibes

I just sat here and read through YOUR WHOLE REPORT so far! :thumbsup2 You guys are too much fun!

That was so sad about the accident you saw happen! OMGoodness! I can't even think what that must have been like!

We really liked T-Rex too! We are doing strictly DDP on our next trip though - not too much oop for us this time!

We too have the 20 questions game - it's a blast isn't it! We recently took a trip to the next province over to my DH's sister's farm and the girls had a bast with it!

Lookin; forward to readin more! :)

Hey! I'm glad that you found your way over. As you can see, so far, we have had some really funny stuff happen and then we have had some not so funny stuff happen. It only gets better!

Hi Lisa,

Did ya'll have a good time at Disney? What a stupid question.....of course you did! So, when can we expect a trip report?

Jen,

I did the whole....I'm gonna clean out every room and every closet....thing in April. Why do we start those kind of projects? But, it did make me feel good after I got it all done.

When I started the cleaning, I was doing it to gather up stuff for our annual garage sale. Yes, I said annual garage sale. Why is the word annual so significant? Because if I have an annual garage sale that means, I either missed gathering up half the crap the year before or we actually accumulated that much crap in just a year's time.:scared1:

I found some old Disney VHS planning videos too! We said we were going to sit down and watch them but we haven't yet.

Have fun cleaning!

Ginny

Lacey used to have a set of drums but couldn't take them with her to Georgia so she sold them to a lady at church. Now, she can listen to the beating and banging of those drums.

John says he is thankful that Hunter plays football 'cause it'll balance out him playing the viola.:rotfl:

Hunter's smile never left his face from the time the guy brought the viola out until the time he fell asleep last night. It is a pretty viola and I got it at a really good price. The guy said if we ever wanted to "upgrade" to another one, we could bring that one in and he'd give us credit towards a new one. I know us, though, we'll keep the first one because it's his first viola he ever played. Sentimental folks we are.

We bought the instruction book last week which had a DVD with it. Keep in mind that Hunter has only laid hands on a viola once and that was in class when the strings teacher brought one out. In about 2 hours time yesterday, Hunter learned Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Mary Had A Little Lamb. Looks like he has a talent for the viola. Thank goodness because I was afraid we'd be hearing all sorts of noises that sounded like screaming cats.

How did Alex do at tryouts?

:surfweb: Still desperately trying to catch up :sad1:, every time I sign off and come back there are 3 or 4 more pages :scared1:. You need a cliff note version for those of us who get so far behind :lmao:.

Sorry Dana. You know how we like to talk.

John and I both have some pretty musical people in our families. Thank goodness my two kids picked it up from them because John and I can't play a darned thing. Hunter now has an accoustic guitar, an electric guitar and a viola. Lacey has an accoustic guitar and used to have a set of drums. Both of them are usually strumming their guitars while watching television.

Dallas may become interested in some kind of instrument one day. You can never tell.

Love the countdown calendar. I held off on making one until we were thirty days out. Couldn't wait any longer!

What a cool surprise story! Isn't it the hardest thing keeping something like that a secret? We surprised Hunter with a trip to Disney in 2008. Oh it was so hard to keep quiet.

OK, all caught up now. I love all your pictures, especially of the ones from the road. Don't you just love seeing all those Disney road signs?

CBR looks really nice. We've never stayed there before so it's always cool seeing pics of all the different resorts.

Years ago, we'd see Disney and Universal billboard after billboard all the way down the Interstate. In the last few years, there haven't been as many. So, believe me when I saw those Disney signs couldn't have come at a better time. Just when you think you're never gonna get there!

Just wanted to say hi! Waiting patiently for the next update...popcorn::

I'm trying to get another one ready to post!

The accident was something that stuck in our minds for quite a while. I still think about it every day. Horrible, just horrible.

You definitely need to consider the CBR for next year. We actually decided last night that we're going back to the CBR in 2010. We know that we like it and instead of wondering about if we'll like another resort, we'd rather go back to something we know we want to spend our hard earned money on.

T-Rex was really cool. The food was good too. We usually pay out of pocket for one dinner so that we can save that night's table service credit to combine with another and go see a dinner show. But, we've now done Hoop Dee Doo Review twice and the Spirit of Aloha once. Mickey's Backyard BBQ isn't sounding so great to us. So, we probably won't be eating at either Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex in 2010 and just stick with restaurants that are on the dining plan.

I can't believe you are up soooo late... Ashton & I are getting ready to hit the hay! He has been up since 7:30 am with no naps.

I'm happy Hunter has the ear; makes it a lot nicer for you and John!

Have a great Sunday! :wave2:

Girl, we are usually up until at least 10:30 or 11:00 every night. Hunter and John are night owls and could stay up until the wee hours of the morning if they didn't have work and school.

My kids never took naps. If they did, I knew they they had to be sick.

We all got up early yesterday too. John had cabinet doors to install. The lady he's doing them for is a teacher so the time limits on when he could install them meant working on a Saturday. Hunter woke up early because he was excited to go get his viola. I get up early every day so that I can give John his epilepsy meds at 7:15 a.m. He has to take 10 pills every night so that his medicine levels stay up. Needless to say, he's horrible to get up in the morning. I think I am about to go back to bed.

I am very thankful that Hunter seems to have an ear for music. Otherwise, we'd be hearing all kinds of crazy noises coming from his room!

Subscribing, now I gotta go back & read. Looks like a fun TR!

Hey there! We love new readers. I say "we" because we've all become a bunch of good friends. We'd love to have another new friend!

Good morning Lisa. Hope you have a great Sunday. So glad about the viola. At least since is is a lower octave than the violin the screeching isn't so screechy. It is great that Hunter is musical. Great for all of you having to listen anyway. I have lots of musical people in my family. It just never hit me. Alex won't know till Monday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Tim says if he gets the flute he's making him drop out. Men and their macho attitudes. I think he could handle it along with basketball but Tim has fears. I do hope you find a football team for Hunter to play. You hate to see them miss out on something they like so much.

Congratulations on picking CBR. For some reason I'm not really surprised.

Ginny

Morning Lisa. Hope you got a good night's sleep. :) You guys make 10:30 and 11:00 sound late! I'm usually up until 12:30 or 1:00 unless I know I have to work the next day. I am SO not a morning person...but I'm working on it. I plan to be a very much morning person at Disney!

We never had strings where I went to school, but I was in band from 7th-12th grade. I played the flute, Ginny. Just found it in the garage. I did NOT want to play the flute. I wanted to play the saxophone, but they told me flute. We never had any boys that played, but right after I graduated there was one. Plently of boys played the clarinet.

Will has wanted to play the saxophone for as long as he's wanted to play baseball (which means, from about the age of 1). I can't tell you how many toy saxophones we've had. You guys have heard quite a bit about Will by now, so you know he's a little obsessive. When he likes something, he likes it. Green has always been his favorite color. 6 has always been his favorite number. He has loved baseball, saxophones, and orca whales since he could talk (maybe before). They start letting the kids play instruments in 5th grade here (I think). I PRAY that they let my boy play the saxophone. He would be devastated if they told him he has to play something else. I was pretty decent at the flute and we have others that are decent in the family, so I think Will will be okay. Plus, I've always thought (and still do) that reading music will be something Will is very good at because of the way his analytical mind works. Thank goodness he plays baseball, so he can do both, because he loves his music! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you won't have to listen to screeching!

I'll be back later to see if you got the next part up...

Sheri played saxaphone in band. They were short on sax's in the high school band when she was in middle school so from 7th grade on she played high school band. She also played bagpipe in the drum and bugle corps. Sandi played drum in band and violal in orchestra. Willard schools don't have strings. Neither does Alex's school. Tim was in the band in Ark. but I don't remember what he played. He is very musical as is Sandi. Of course Alex doesn't pick up on those traits. If he isn't we'll just tell him he takes after his grandma. (he does know he is adopted tho). He is always looking for things that are the same way we all do things. Pretty sweet.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Alex too. John doesn't really care what kind of instrument Hunter plays. He's just picking with him about viola and football. Thank goodness, John isn't one of those realy macho attitude kinda guys.

It didn't surprise us in the least that we decided to go with the CBR again. I did want to look at other options before we definitely went with the CBR. If a super dooper good promo came out, we might would book Poly.....not holding my breath though.

I'm usually not asleep until 11:00 p.m. or so. I am a morning person though. I can get up, put a load of clothes in the washing machine and have the dishwasher unloaded within thirty minutes of getting out of bed. John is pretty slow getting ready in the morning. Part of his problem is his meds.

I've been helping my mother research an Alaska cruise so I haven't had time to get an installment up. Sorry! Hope to do it very soon.
