John said to tell you that he doesn't think you could afford him! In addition to that, he didn't think he could keep everything hot that long.

T-Rex looks so fun. I wish it was on the dining plan!

I knew you'd pick up on that one. Lacey had so much fun talking to all of the different castmembers. She is so outgoing.

I knew that T-Rex wasn't on the dining plan but we really wanted to eat there. So, we saved that night's table service credit and combined it with another so that we could see the luau.

Your T-Rex pics are bringing back great memories. I loved that place. But it was so LOUD! Definitely lots to look at, and I don't know about you, but I seriously enjoyed my meal there. I got the brontosaurus burger. Mmmm. All this dieting I've been on lately, don't you know my mouth is watering thinkin about that!

It was, indeed, loud but it was sooo much fun. I subscribe to the Disney Food Picture thread and I always seem to look at it right before mealtime. My mouth just waters.

Frozen biscuits work pretty good in my family. Or I can do bisquick ones, but I use the low-fat variety. Aren't I good? Not

If we have biscuits at our house, they are definitely the refrigerated or frozen kind. Whop biscuits as my grandmother called them.

Today is better than yesterday, that's for certain! I'm so ready for TN!!! Gotta get to Walmart tonite to do some last minute shopping.

Hey! A new reader! We love new readers. I say "we" because we're all a bunch of friends here. Welcome friend!

Lacey has had someone tell her that she looks like Kirsten Dunst before. WE kept telling her that she looked like Audrey from Vacation. That wavy hair and the big sunglasses.

Hey girls! Sorry I've been MIA all day. I went out to find this specific fireworks sticker (it has Mickey and Minnie, from the back, with Mickey's arm around Minnie and then a bunch of fireworks sticker-of course I only needed the fireworks stickers, not Mickey and Minnie ). I found it at the first store I went to, but I also found a pirate sticker that says "Walk The Plank". You know I had to grab it! The problem? There was only ONE (it didn't occur to me until about 4 stores later that I could have asked them if they had more). So I've checked every other store in town and they didn't have it. I'm sure then next time I go to Joann's they'll have it, but I hate waiting. It's going to be AWESOME (along with this Pirate Mickey sticker I have-and I got an extra one of those at Hobby Lobby, so I have two) on the MK page for the day the boys are going to Pirate League.

ANYWAY...SUPER COOL TREX pics! I so can't wait. It's the first thing we're doing after check-in and it will mean WE ARE IN DISNEY. Our ADR is for 3:30. Can't wait to see more pictures. Your family is so fun. I would love to be sitting at the next table watching you.

Your shopping trips sound like mine....I start out with a goal in mind, go to numerous stores to find what I am looking for and then find something that changes my mind. At least you were able to get some really cool stuff.

We usually try to plan our first evening at DTD because we just have to get in some Disney time before hitting the parks. T-Rex is super cool. I am sure your boys are going to love it!

Great updates! I love the pics from CBR, we only stayed there once, back in 2003 and your pics are making me wonder why we haven't been back. Enjoying the T Rex pics, I think yours are the first I've seen. Looking forward to more.

You really do need to make a trip back to the CBR. They've refurbed all the rooms since the first time we stayed there four years ago. Now, you can see why it's such a hard decision on whether or not to book a 5th stay at the CBR or another resort.

Our food has been ordered and I have walked around and took a few pictures. I come back to the table and we start talking about what's on the agenda for tomorrow. Lacey hasn't even gotten her food yet and she asks where we were eating tomorrow. The girl loves to eat.

All of the sudden, we hear a rumbling sound and the meteor shower starts. I took these pictures. The room had changed colors.

Our server had given Hunter a kids' menu with crayons. He didn't even pay any attention to them until Lacey picked them up and started coloring. Wait a minute? Who is the 12 year old and who is the 22 year old? Shoot, even at 12 Hunter doesn't color any more. Hunter got in on it and they started doing the puzzles on the menu.

John and I are still taking in all the details of the restaurant. I look to my left (we were up next to the wall) and I see that some kid had colored on the ice/wall. It was supposed to be white (there's lights behind it that make it change colors). It wasn't a big spot but still. Why in the world would a kid want to color on a wall? And what were their parents doing while they were coloring on the wall? It's a shame. My kids never ever drew on a wall or the floor or anywhere like that.

We didn't have to wait long until our food was brought out to us. I had told everybody ahead of time that I'd be taking pictures of the food so hold off until I did.

Here's Hunter's pizza:

Lacey's half rack of ribs with waffle fries and mashed potatoes. She ordered double waffle fries so she could share with Hunter but that's not what she got. We didn't say anything because the mashed potatoes were really good.

John's Mega Messa Bones with slaw and beans:

Once I had taken pictures of the food, we dug in. Oh my geeeeez, everything was sooooo delicious. Wait a minute, I take that back, John didn't care too much for his slaw. He likes his all moist and slawy. Sorry, I don't know any other way to describe how he likes it. This slaw was a little bit dry.

Of course, we had to taste of everybody else's food. Wait a minute, I take that back AGAIN. Hunter only ate a few of Lacey's waffle fries. He didn't taste of anything else. The rest of us sampled everything.

John's serving of ribs was so big that he actually left a couple of them uneaten. But, he helped me eat my stuff so he got full on that too. I could eat a little something of everything we ordered right now!

I need to find my receipt for our meal. I think it was right around $100.00. I didn't think that was too bad considering it's a themed restaurant and it's in Disney. I think I had allotted $125.00 for the meal so I was pleased.

By the time we left the restaurant, we were so full. We decided to go back over to the World of Disney store to waste a little time before heading back to the resort.

Can you tell he rarely picks up the check!

Excellent pictures! Yum. I think I'm getting hungry. Need to find a snack. Wonder if we have any Oreos. Hang on...'

...k, got some Oreos. My mom's been hiding them so Matt doesn't eat them all and not leave any for the kids. But then she doesn't remember to give them to the kids, so she ends up eating them all because she's the only one that knows where they are! I think that was her intent in the first place. But I found them!

Anyway, I've planned $75 for TRex, but we won't be ordered anything that costs $25 (I checked the menu) and we'll have two eating off the kids' menu, so we'll probably be okay. I got ordered a gift card to budget, but if we go over a little it's not a big deal. It would be nice if I could use my Rainforest Cafe club card there. Oh well.

I'm definitely going to have to get me some of those mashed potatoes!

Lisa those pics of the food look wonderful. Ok I ended up with a cup of tomato soup for lunch. I just got home from work and have not had anything else to eat. I'm hungry but I don't want to eat this late. Oh, the problems I have.

WOW, that food there looks really good! We may have to stop over there and try it out. The noise part may not work, though. I find as I get older, those noisy places get harder for me to handle. Oh well, we'll see.

Okay....I think my boys would love T-Rex! Even thought they are older I think they'd get a kick out of the atmosphere. SO cool that the room changed colors!

$100 seems about right for an OOP meal at a Disney themed restaurant. I budgeted $125 for our 'Ohana meal and it was right in that range. Way more than we'd pay for a meal at home, but you're on vacation, right?! Have fun and live a little!

Funny, I was looking for a wallet on our Disney trip as well! I'll be interested to see what you bought!

And the comment about looking like hillbillies but having yourselves fooled cracked me up!! We do the "traveling clothes" thing as well.

Your pics of TRex are great especially in low light. Can you tell mewhat kind of camera you used there. Was it before or after the Walmart run
