Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

LOL! Danny is sitting here with me viewing the food and we were showing Ashton the dinosaur pictures We just finished eating BBQ for a local place and we are stuffed! But, Danny said those ribs and your appetizer is making his mouth water that really looks good! Than he seen the price!!!:scared1:
He said he was thinking maybe $85 with the tip:rotfl2:

Can you tell he rarely picks up the check!:rotfl:

Ashton can't wait to go visit the dinosaurs!!!:yay:
But, Danny can't come he may have a heartattack:lmao:!

If we hadn't been in a themed restaurant inside of Disney World, then I'd probably have never paid $100.00 for a meal. But, it's a once a year thing so we were okay with the price.

Tell Danny that he can't look at menu prices or the bill and maybe he'll agree to eat at T-Rex. Ashton would love it.

mmm TRex looks good! I didn't even think of eating there :)

We were really excited to be eating there. And, the food didn't let us down!

Excellent pictures! Yum. I think I'm getting hungry. Need to find a snack. Wonder if we have any Oreos. Hang on...'

...k, got some Oreos. My mom's been hiding them so Matt doesn't eat them all and not leave any for the kids. But then she doesn't remember to give them to the kids, so she ends up eating them all because she's the only one that knows where they are! I think that was her intent in the first place.:scratchin But I found them!

Anyway, I've planned $75 for TRex, but we won't be ordered anything that costs $25 (I checked the menu) and we'll have two eating off the kids' menu, so we'll probably be okay. I got ordered a gift card to budget, but if we go over a little it's not a big deal. It would be nice if I could use my Rainforest Cafe club card there. :rolleyes1 Oh well.

I'm definitely going to have to get me some of those mashed potatoes!

Is my backpack in the next installment? Did you remember to take the picture (it's okay if you didn't)? :goodvibes

My friend's mother used to hide all their sweets too. I don't know why she did because we always found them. She wasn't too quick on the uptake because she always hid them in the same place.:confused3

T-Rex was definitely worth the money to us. We loved it!

Too funny Connie. I know what you mean about men and prices.

Lisa those pics of the food look wonderful. Ok I ended up with a cup of tomato soup for lunch. I just got home from work and have not had anything else to eat. I'm hungry but I don't want to eat this late. Oh, the problems I have.

I think one of us ordered the appetizer sampler at Planet Hollywood with those things. It was delish.

I love tomato soup. That's what we had for dinner the other night. You really shouldn't go to bed without eating anything, Ginny. You know better!

I like having appetizer samplers as my entrees. It give you a taste of everything. I certainly didn't know that I'd be given soooo much food at T-Rex. I loved all of it.

Where did 21 pages come from so quickly?!? I'm finally caught up. Love the Nemo room!

Can't wait for more!

You can see that we like to talk a lot. Not just trip report installments, just a lot of talk. That's perfectly fine with me because I now have a lot of new friends.

I like the rooms too. Just enough Nemo theme but not too much to overwhelm you.

OK, how much for just a quick joy ride?
:lmao::lmao::lmao:

That was a great pic!

I don't know what he charges but I'll be sure to ask. We've gotta raise that Disney vacation money some way. Joy rides in a pizza delivery truck sounds like a good way to me.:lmao:

WOW, that food there looks really good! We may have to stop over there and try it out. The noise part may not work, though. I find as I get older, those noisy places get harder for me to handle. Oh well, we'll see.

Thanks for the review and pics of T-Rex!
:thumbsup2

Have you ever eaten at Rainforest Cafe? The noise level at T-Rex is about the same as Rainforest.

Okay....I think my boys would love T-Rex! Even thought they are older I think they'd get a kick out of the atmosphere. SO cool that the room changed colors!

Your appetizer sampler looks delicious! I love appetizers! Good choice. :thumbsup2

$100 seems about right for an OOP meal at a Disney themed restaurant. I budgeted $125 for our 'Ohana meal and it was right in that range. Way more than we'd pay for a meal at home, but you're on vacation, right?! Have fun and live a little! :goodvibes

Funny, I was looking for a wallet on our Disney trip as well! I'll be interested to see what you bought!

And the comment about looking like hillbillies but having yourselves fooled cracked me up!! :lmao: We do the "traveling clothes" thing as well.

I do think that your boys would like T-Rex. I liked it and I am not even a dinosaur lover.

I usually allott between $100.00 to $150.00 for table service meals (if we are paying out of pocket) so I was prepared for my T-Rex bill. You and I think alike.....we're on vacation...we don't splurge during the year....this is a once a year thing, etc.

I found a cute wallet at Epcot. I have it in my purse right now. It's black with kinda shiny black Mickey's on it. Hard to describe. I'll have to take a picture of it for you. It was $21.00.

I don't want our family to be one of those families that we sit on a park bench and look at them and say "Bless their hearts. Do they know what they look like?" We probably are, but at least I don't hear them say it.

Really enjoying the TR so far! Great pictures and I can't wait to take our kids to TREX in 2 weeks! My mouth is watering already!

I really think you're going to enjoy T-Rex. We sure did.
T-rex just looks soooo cool.
And I'm sure you stepped up from Hiibillies......to HillWilliams! :rotfl2:

Mornin', Lisa! And ghosts.

Your meals looked really, really good! Especially those mashed potatoes. I love mashed potatoes.

I'm glad you got to sit in the ice cave. I thought it was so cool that it changed colors like that, and the meteor shower was really awesome, wasn't it? I cannot wait to go back to T-REX, just so I can sample those taters!

Morning! I like mashed potatoes too. These were really good mashed potatoes. That's why Lacey didn't complain when they were brought out instead of additional waffle fries.

I loved the ice cave room as did everyone else.

Godd morning! Lisa,
have a great day! can't wait to see your next update!
:wave2:

Mornin' Mrs. Day After My Birthday Girl!

Followed you over from my TR...now I have to catch up!

Hey there! You'll soon see that we are all a bunch of chatty friends on my trip reports. Welcome friend!

T-Rex looks really good. I love that first photo you have. Plus, I am craving onion rings now! :rotfl:

It was good. It's almost lunch time and I would give my right arm for some T-Rex right now. Wait, change that to my left arm 'cause I'm right handed.

Good morning Lisa. Hope you are having a great Friday. Lucky you leaving at noon. I get off at 1:30 then to the football game tonight. Has Hunter heard anymore on his football practice?
Tell John I am so over the Pizza and I now need those onion rings please.

Ginny

I am so mad right now. Hunter plays football for the private Christian school he used to attend. So do some other kids that don't go to school there. Well, we found out last nigth that there may not even be a football team this year. It's a smaller school (about 350 students: Kin. through 12th) and it looks like there aren't enough kids of the right age to form a team. If I had know that about 2 weeks ago, I could have signed him up to play for his current school. I'm emailing every parent I know begging them to let their kid play. Maybe that will work.

On to work, why oh why is there always a deadline on Fridays? Today, we had two. Thank goodness, I have them knocked out already.

I could go for some Sonic onion rings right now. With lots of ketchup. That's the one thing that I really like ketchup on. I may have to stop at Sonic on my way home.

Good Morning Lisa

I have n't posted in awhile s I thought I would check in. I am glad to hear you had such a wonderful trip.

I am looking forward to reading more.

Your pics of TRex are great especially in low light. Can you tell mewhat kind of camera you used there. Was it before or after the Walmart run:wizard:

I'm glad that you're still around. The camera that I took the T-Rex pictures with was the pre-kerplunk camera. It's a Kodak Easy Share. I'll look and see what model it is and post it for you.

I can't read fast enough to catch up .

I'm sorry Dana. I'll try to slow down.

WOW T-Rex looks amazing! :goodvibes Very cool pics. I'm glad you guys enjoyed your food there!

I think your boys would enjoy T-Rex. So will you and your hubby 'cause the food is really good.

That is the only thing I use ketchup on. I don't eat it all as a rule.

Your appetizer (entree) looked super good! :goodvibes I do that when we go to Big River Grille, I get the beef nachos appetizer as my meal. The thing is so huge I don't know how anyone could eat it as an appetizer and then eat a meal. :faint:

Did you have to call T-Rex directly for an ADR, or can you make it through Disney? You really have me thinking about trying to squeeze in another ADR. . . I think the boys would love the atmosphere, and DH & I do love to eat! :laughing:Of course it would have to be OOP because all of our TS credits will be used up when we switch over to OKW. I'm not sure I want to pay $100 OOP for a meal though. . . decisions. . . decisions. . . :rotfl:

Just found your TR and am enjoying it! I am surprising my DD with a Pirate room at CBR in October! She thinks we are staying at the All Star Movies Resort! She mentioned a while back she loved the new pirate rooms so when I got the free dining I upgraded the room! I can't wait! CBR looks so nice! It will be our first stay there. My DN will be 7 when we go and I can't wait to take her to the kids pool. Thanks also for the pics of T-Rex-we are going to DTD our first day and may have to try it for lunch. Looking forward to more!

I'm not a big ketchup eater myself. But, onion rings, require ketchup.

I guess it would be OOP anyway, T-Rex is not on the DDP is it?

I made my T-Rex ADR using the Disney online reservations. We did pay out of pocket for the meal but it was worth every cent. Yummy!

Welcome new friend! I am seriously considering booking a pirate room for our 2010 vacation. The CBR is just so relaxing and peaceful that we are having a hard time booking another resort.

I love the fact that you are surprising your daughter with the pirate room. Lucky daughter and niece!

T-Rex is a "must go" on our future Disney vacations!

Hunter's viola came in. Yeah! I was beginning to worry because he has to bring it to school on Monday. We are going to pick it up tomorrow morning.

I am also going to take the Kodak camera to the camera shop tomorrow. Even if they can't recover the lost pictures, I'd still like to try and get the camera fixed. It took good pictures.

I just noticed your avatar. Is that a countdown calendar I see behind you? I also saw that you are from Georgia. My daughter goes to college in Cleveland, Georgia.

I made my T-Rex ADR using the Disney online reservations. We did pay out of pocket for the meal but it was worth every cent. Yummy!

I tried booking online and they are booked up for the 2 days we could possibly go. :confused3 But another DIS friend said that she just called T-Rex directly when she was there and was able to get in the next day. So maybe I'll just try that. :wizard:

I did the same thing. Added TRex after reading Lisa's other TR (which was also kind of a PTR). I couldn't get any good times (just 10pm) until I finally tried our arrival day. I tried dinner time and kept pushing it back and back until I got to 3:30pm. It's going to mean leaving here at 6am, but it will be worth it. I went to the Landry's website and bought a $75 gift card so that even though it will be OOP, I have already "paid" for it (my kids are 4 and 7 so I'm hoping we can keep it around $75 ;) ). Did kind of the same thing for Rainforest too. Except I got the GC from My Points and it's only $25, so I will have to pay some OOP there. S'ok though. It's worth it.

Maybe you can keep checking online just in case something becomes available. If not, you might luck up and get an ADR by phone when you're in Disney.

By the way, when can we expect a pre-trip report?

9:00 p.m. was the only time that I was able to book but that was okay with us because we weren't sure what time we'd be driving into Disney.

At least you've got an ADR. I understand your way of thinking.....even if you had to pay $75.00 for the gift card now and you are still paying for the meal, it doesn't seem like it because it's basically prepaid. It's those mind games I play with myself to think we're not spending as much money.:lmao:

If playing mind games on yourself works, then why not? I've already figured myself out, so it doesn't work on me anymore. :lmao:

Hey Lisa! :goodvibes

I just sat here and read through YOUR WHOLE REPORT so far! :thumbsup2 You guys are too much fun!

That was so sad about the accident you saw happen! OMGoodness! I can't even think what that must have been like!

We really liked T-Rex too! We are doing strictly DDP on our next trip though - not too much oop for us this time!

We too have the 20 questions game - it's a blast isn't it! We recently took a trip to the next province over to my DH's sister's farm and the girls had a bast with it!

Lookin; forward to readin more! :)
