Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

You have to have so many posts before pictures or links wil lshow up. I think it's 7 or ten posts.

GrandmaSady, I'm sure that Jen knows what she is talking about. So, feel free to post a bunch of nonsense on my thread so your post count will go up. Heck, we all post a lot of nonsense on here anyway so what will it matter?:lmao:

Okay, while Photobucket and I are punching it out, I thought I'd tell ya'll that I won a free meal for 2 at Cracker Barrell. I got an email from them about a month or so ago asking me to take a survey on some new merchandise they were thinking about putting in their stores. Apparently, my name was drawn to win a free meal for two. Hey, I'll take it!

We love Cracker Barrell. I'm always using my card points for gc from there. I think I still have about $50 left.

That is excellent for the win. Be sure to order the most expensive thing on the menu.

Congrats! Love the Cracker Barrel!

Looking forward to your T-Rex review! :goodvibes

I like Cracker Barrel too. Their biscuits are to die for! I can cook a pretty decent meal (with the exception of one pound cake a day or so ago) but the one thing I have never ever learned to cook is biscuits. I know they are supposed to be simple to make but I just can't do it no matter how many times I try. Every time I make an attempt, John just looks at me and says, "so you tried again huh?".

You are too sweet your ownself Lisa. I tracked her number down. You guys are going to have to pm me yours and I will call you too. Or something along that line. :rolleyes1

And pm me your address for my package I'm going to send. Those of you know who you are.

So far for lunch A drug rep brought me a Starbucks latte. My fav. Another one just brought cookies (of which I have not had) and I am going to go eat get ready for this delish meal. Ham and bean soup. Maybe then a cookie. Wonder why the weight watchers isn't working for me?

If you do the old core way the latte is free cause it is skim milk if you order it skinny, the soup is free cause it's all protein. Cookies not so much. Last year we had them all convinced to bring veggies. Dr. has now said he likes sweets again. He needs veggies.:lmao:

I'll send a p.m. in just a little bit. At least your drug reps are keeping you from going hungry. My Mama used to work for a wholesale drug company and the drug reps were always bringing her goodies.

Frozen biscuits work pretty good in my family. Or I can do bisquick ones, but I use the low-fat variety. Aren't I good? Not

I have no idea where you get that notion.

Now that I have purchased Ashton's 2009 Mickey, we've walked around a bit and I've taken a picture of my rule breaker hubby in the pizza delivery truck thingie, it's time to get ready for Downtown Disney. We knew we would be early for our 9:00 p.m. ADR but we wanted to get in some real "Disney" time.

I don't know about ya'll but we have traveling clothes and we have vacation clothes. Traveling clothes are the kind of clothes that are just really comfy and worn in. Nothing shabby but nothing to look at either. We still had on our travelin' clothes and because we didn't want to look like hillbillies come to town, we changed into our vacation clothes. We probably still look hillbillies come to town but at least we had ourselves fooled.:lmao:

Clothes changed, we headed to the bus stop. We found out that the Old Port Royale bus stop was much closer to our room than the Martinique one was so that's the one we went to. We waited about 15 minutes for a Downtown Disney bus to come which wasn't too bad. Sometime during the trip, we realized that the later in the afternoon it was, the more frequently the Downtown Disney buses ran.

We got off at the Downtown Disney Marketplace stop and then walked over to the World of Disney. I was in search of a new wallet because I didn't find one last year and a 3x t-shirt for the boss. John was in search of the Disney golf hat and t-shirts combo. Hunter and Lacey were looking around and chillin'. Just happy to be in Disney. Lacey and I started off in one direction and John and Hunter went in another.

After about an hour of looking around, we bought nothing. Zilch! It wasn't because we didn't find anything. We knew we were coming back to DTD another day. It was mostly a "feel the place out" kind of shopping trip.

We meander our way over to T-Rex. I say meander...I should have said we worked our way through the thick crowds to T-Rex. There were so many people standing around and there were two lines so it was hard to tell where I needed to go to check in. I finally saw the giant rock looking podium and made my way up to it. We were about 20 minutes early but they said we would be seated shortly and I was told to stand in the line next to the podium.

This sign was directly above my head:

After about a 10 minute wait, they called our name and we were taken to our table. The hostess was very nice, asking us if we had been there before and was it our first trip to Disney. It was really hard to talk to her with all the noise around us and she had her back to me while we were walking. But, still, she was nice.

We were seated in the ice room which was really cool. We weren't at our table maybe 5 minutes before our waitress came around. Her name was Jen. Lacey, being her silly self, said "cool name". The girl looked at her funny and said "your name must be Jen". Lacey said "nope, just a cool name." :sad2: We just laughed. Jen didn't quite know what to take of us. She took our drink order and said she'd be back to see if we had decided on what we wanted to order.

I took some pictures, of course. Lacey and Hunter:

This little guy was behind us:

Then, I realized I should be looking at the menu, not my surroundings. In no time at all Jen was back with our drinks and we had decided what we wanted. Hunter, ever the picky eater, ordered the kids' pizza. Lacey, a semi picky eater, ordered the half order of ribs with double waffle fries (to share with her brother). I ordered the four appetizer plate as an entree. John ordered the full rib plate (Mega Messa Bones) with slaw and beans.

Now, that I've told ya'll all that, here's some pictures. I got up from our table and took these two:

These are pictures of the ice room. Every once in a while, there is a meteor shower and the room changes colors. Really cool:

*****Interruption: Boss just called from the Judge's office. He needs me to sprint a document over to him. Back later.

How cool is that? It looks really great. I hope the food was good. We liked Rainforest so I'm sure it is close to the same. Just different atmosphere. Sorry you missed the sign. Alex would have loved that place

Doesn't your boss know you have fans to entertain?!?!? The document can wait! :lmao:

I'm still waiting for our pizza - hurry up, John :rotfl2:

T-Rex looks like a lot of fun :cool1: We had lunch at the RFC at DTD last time and that was fun too. T-Rex had just opened, but our boys really wanted to see RFC, so off we went LOL Perhaps this time, we'll go to T-Rex! Can't wait to see what you thought of your meals there. Ribs are so hit-and-miss at restaurants, aren't they?!

Geez, didn't you tell your boss that I said to stop messing with your DISsing?! Bahahahaha :lmao:

I'm with Lacey! jen is such a cool name! LOL! :lmao:

T-Rex looks so fun. I wish it was on the dining plan!

Your T-Rex pics are bringing back great memories. I loved that place. But it was so LOUD! Definitely lots to look at, and I don't know about you, but I seriously enjoyed my meal there. I got the brontosaurus burger. Mmmm. All this dieting I've been on lately, don't you know my mouth is watering thinkin about that!

Mean boss man. Interrupting our update! :sad2:

Hey girls! Sorry I've been MIA all day. I went out to find this specific fireworks sticker (it has Mickey and Minnie, from the back, with Mickey's arm around Minnie and then a bunch of fireworks sticker-of course I only needed the fireworks stickers, not Mickey and Minnie ;) ). I found it at the first store I went to, but I also found a pirate sticker that says "Walk The Plank". You know I had to grab it! The problem? There was only ONE (it didn't occur to me until about 4 stores later that I could have asked them if they had more). So I've checked every other store in town and they didn't have it. I'm sure then next time I go to Joann's they'll have it, but I hate waiting. It's going to be AWESOME (along with this Pirate Mickey sticker I have-and I got an extra one of those at Hobby Lobby, so I have two) on the MK page for the day the boys are going to Pirate League.

ANYWAY...SUPER COOL TREX pics! I so can't wait. It's the first thing we're doing after check-in and it will mean WE ARE IN DISNEY. Our ADR is for 3:30. :cool1: Can't wait to see more pictures. Your family is so fun. I would love to be sitting at the next table watching you.

Ginny, I'm PMing you right now-but you have to send me yours too-and so do the rest of you! You know who you are!!!

Great updates! I love the pics from CBR, we only stayed there once, back in 2003 and your pics are making me wonder why we haven't been back. Enjoying the T Rex pics, I think yours are the first I've seen. Looking forward to more. :)

Thank you for helping me "find" my ticker count down! I had tried the other 2 options, just hadn't tried that one. Thanks

I am so not into dinosaurs and I thought the place was really neat. I was looking around like a little kid in a candy store.

Doesn't your boss know you have fans to entertain?!?!? The document can wait! :lmao:

I know! I hate being interrupted but this was for a good cause....a civil arrest warrant for somebody who wouldn't give the kids back to their dad even though he had sole custody. So, I guess we will have to excuse the boss this time.

I'm still waiting for our pizza - hurry up, John :rotfl2:

It looks like John is running a little late on his pizza deliveries. Thank goodness we don't have that "deliverred in 30 minutes" or less clause.

T-Rex is a lot of fun. It's very similar to the Rainforest Cafe. Just different animals.
