Stolen SS #

I just found out today that someone is usuing my SS@. Either that or Beth Isreal Hospital in Boston screwed up keying in numbers but now they say it is up to me to call Social security and figure out what happened, I syay that is the hospitals job, not soley mine. I will not trust them with my health, seems like hospitals screw up many times at the patiens expence. This happen to anyone else?

No. But the thought that the security of my SS # might've been breached would send shivers down my spine.

I'm not quite clear about your issues with the hospital but I'd put up an alert with Experian and the other credit rating companies.

It is so frustrating that more and more often places screw up or problems arise as a result of someone else the innocent party involved is the one that has to straighten it out. Good luck finding someone that will care enough to help.

hate to hear it gail.. my big hospital prollem now is that they refuse to spell my name th esame on my admits,, and i am getting bills under six diff spellings and all want to charge extra..
god i hate hospitals of course since oct u of mis med center in jackson is like home but maybe soon they can get me straightened up . good luck getting s s too fix a nything.. we still trying to get them to agree i am disabled after i lost use of right eye in wreck,, an dhave been in surgery at least every other week since oct,,, they say i have to be at least 20 200 in the good eye to be visuallydisabled,, i thought going from 2 eyes to 1 would be a given,,oh well,, i digress Good luck...

I would pull your credit reports from the credit reporting agencies just to make sure there is nothing else adverse. (Experion, Trans Union, Equifax). These reports are free if you suspect identity theft.

This is one topic that scares the hell out of me. People can practically destroy your life and good name, and it's your job to get it back. There are to be serious jail time for that that they catch...imagine not being able to buy a house or car or anything because of that???
