IMO, this lady is off her rocker.

I can see the viewpoints of people against gay marriage, the people against gays in general because of religious beliefs, but worse than TERRORISM? Civilizations not lasting more than a few decades after accepting homosexuality completely (hello, denmark 1989? Happiest place to live based on statistics for like...2 years in a row? the romans? the greeks? mideivel france/gaul?)

Watched this on the news earlier.

Well... the only thing I could do was laugh. This woman has such an extreme and almost jaw-droppingly misguided view of homosexuality that it's beyond sad. How can she honestly believe that? Love and the furthering of your extremist cause at the cost of millions of peoples lives through means of horrific violence couldn't possibly be further removed. I want to feel sad for her (even though it'd get my butt kicked in a debate 'cause it'd be encroaching on her free speech or some such, heh) that she belives that suppressing love can in any way make our country better, or that allowing Gay marriage is in any way 'dangerous.' Because it isn't true, not by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm sorry, but gay marriage does not KILL anyone. I don't know who she is referring to, but I don't know of any evidence that people have DIED from being gay and married(minus aids victims, but there are plenty of straight people who have died from aids as well). Terrorism KILLS people. It kills everyday citizens. It could kill HER. I just don't understand that logic at all.

I do have to say, that I like how she is speaking out about it and not keeping it a secret to how SHE feels about it. I don't know how you can compare a group of people, who haven't hurt anyone to TERRORISTS. That is a little too much for me!

Oh, and her statement on how there are studies that show no society that has embraced homosexuality has lasted longer than a few decades? Um, NO. As a history major, I could show you a BUNCH of studies on how the Ancient Greek society embraced homosexuality, and um, how long did Ancient Greece last for? hmmm, I don't know, a few HUNDRED years maybe?

grrrr. It's politicians like her that make me SO mad.
